    Got mine on Amazon for 135! I had the tri-fold for my frontier but opted for the roll-up for f150. The roll-up is way better! You don't lose bed space when you use your bed!

    Just installed mine on a 2020 Ram Laramie Sport... took maybe 40 minutes but im extremely picky when it comes to my truck so I took my time to align it right the first time. I like it so far the fit is perfect and the cover laid down with no wrinkles and minimal waves so I'm sure once the sun warms it up it will be perfect. Will see how durable with time.

    I'm very happy with mine. The only snag I had was it shifted rearward during installation, so I had to loosen everything up again, slide it forward, and then re-tighten. I've had it for 4 months now and it keeps the leaves and water out of the bed very nicely. I agree with other commenters that it's the better choice. It has the ribs to keep the shape but it can roll up so you don't lose bed space.

    I had numerous difficulties with the installation on a 2013 Tacoma. Had to make at least 6 adjustments with the rails and still not correct. Also, the clamps were uber confusing. I only used part of mine because the entire clamp would not fit. Why even send it then? The end rails were 'off' so the latch would not catch. So, I moved it back, like the video suggested only to discover the end of the cover hit the top of the rail and would not close. I used the weather strip enclosed and there is still a gap by the beginning of the cover. All in all, the instructions were minimal as is the video. Could do a lot better.

    Is it possible to temporarily remove it from the bed once it’s installed? It’s been awhile since I installed mine and can’t remember how permanent the front rail is. I might have to make a wood cap to move and protect something that’s a little taller than the bed sides.

    • @TYGERAUTO
      @TYGERAUTO  Před 2 lety

      The front rail is not permanently fixed so it should be easy for you to remove then reinstall at a later time. The T1 is secured via the side rail clamps and there's no screws or clamps for the front rail.

    Anybody else read the reviews that say it keeps the bed “bone dry” (2019 F150 5.5’ bed), but after install and properly using the weather stripping etc., it still has some leaks?
    And yes I made sure the cover is properly aligned, the cross bars are arched upwards, it’s properly stretched, velcroed, clamped, and latched.
    It’s not much leaking but it’s enough (particularly around the corners close to the rear window where the weather stripping meets the bed cover at the corners/edges) that suitcases etc. might get too wet...
    Wondering if I’m missing something or if this is normal.

    What about the foam strip that was in the box? I don't see that being installed in the video?? Is it optional?

    • @TYGERAUTO
      @TYGERAUTO  Před 2 lety

      It depends on the vehicle you have. Some trucks have uneven panel railings for which foam strips are mandatory. For the rest, we recommend users to apply them if there is even the smallest of gaps between the 3 side panel railings/tailgate and the cover which would allow water to seep through. Look for the gaps from the inside of the trunk bed and try squirting some water along the edges from the outside to narrow down the area that needs to be sealed. Hope this helps.

      I moved my latches back off of the marks (toward cab) and also moved the rails inward until the catches would lock in the latches, if that makes sense. If you'll notice that around 3:07 he's moving the latch - and also note the rail is not dead even on the liner. This is how mine wound up. Although mine is off the measuring marks by a good "mark and half," it's as tight as a drum. But I suspect as it wears, it will need the latches moved to make up for any slack developed over the years. Under dire circumstances where someone risked their life to steal my truck, would I buy another Tyger? I would. It was installed today under cloudy but very warm day in an hour and a half. And that being with several breaks to watch this video. In my humble experience, the keys are to simply leave the clamps tight enough to hold the rails in place but loose because you will be moving the rails. Do not get hung up on the instructions to make sure the rail is parallel with the liner/bed. You may be over a 16th as at 3:07. And I may get a finger wagging from the company, but I (eventually) wasn't worried about the rail being even on the liner/bed. My rail back at the latches is probably over into the bed just like in the video. But my rail up front is parallel with the liner as you can't move that part of the "frame" due to the cover rail that goes behind your cab window. It's a fixed piece that is not adjustable. Mine isn't perfect but very serviceable. A spacer behind the latch would make mine perfect. Anyway. Hope this helps. Just finished mine about an hour ago.

    • @TYGERAUTO
      @TYGERAUTO  Před 2 lety

      Be certain that you've stretched out the tarp as much as possible - the Velcro might keep it from being stretched as you unroll. Keep adjusting. The result should be pretty tight to generate tension on the locking mechanism. If you're certain of that, then I suggest that you reach out to our product team - support@tygerauto.com so we can help you troubleshoot your installation.

Without knowing exactly your situation, typically, the most common way to troubleshoot your difficulty is to make sure the tarp is fully stretched out from the velcro so you get the maximum extension to be able to latch the locking mechanism. Looks like someone could just rip up the Velcro off the side and get into the bed. How secure are these?

    • @TYGERAUTO
      @TYGERAUTO  Před 3 lety +1

      The T1 (soft-rollup) have a latch system at the tail end that can only be accessed if one can open the tailgate.

      @@TYGERAUTO you didn’t address the question.. B40 asked can the sides attached with Velcro be pulled up even if the cover is attached at the tailgate? How easy is it to open it from the side where it’s Velcro down while the cover is locked?

    • @TYGERAUTO
      @TYGERAUTO  Před 2 lety +1

      @@toby7291 Thank you for the follow up. There is a lot of tension introduced to the tarp once it's fully rolled out and latched so it's not easy for someone to just lift it and gain access to the bed area. That said, if one's chief concern and priority in choosing a tonneau cover is security we would recommend opting for a hard cover instead.

      Nate C the tri fold is good too; benefit of accessing more of the bed quickly. I would say easier to remove the whole thing quicker, but the roll up never really needs full removal. Both are good upgrades. Tri fold seemed to seal better at the tailgate. You’ll be happy with it.
