Question, if you don't mind me asking. Have you secured a Trademark on the name? I suspect there are a number of companies in that space using some variation of "1-up"? If not, it may be better to clear up that stuff now vs. having to react to cease and desist, take down notices etc. later.
This sounds like a great Idea, but lets think here if its a user based app that is used for scanning items and getting used at lowest cost to new at lowest cost with condition based pricing, well personally the best app I have ever used was a PDA socket scanner with basic coding that for Amazon where it stated lowest price, condition and rank, and ebay the 90 day sale rate and last sold list during that time with a average expected value but the user information was all on one screen and in basic UI interface. When making a app like this the one thing I would suggest is the time it takes each click and each screen that has to load to give the main information I would need, so basically the faster the better, cause fast equals cash

The app is pointless anyways. There’s already a lot of apps that do the same thing for free. Try to actually come up with something creative then TRADEMARK it first (the idea and the name) and then make the app. Any actual business person would tell you this. The guy who quit probably stole your idea and is trademarking it as we speak.
Yeah if you get moved over to the enterprise firm, the costs will definitely balloon. It doesn’t seem that the smaller firm had the manpower to get this off the ground anyway. Managers usually don’t have the skill set to jump in and develop unless they were in the position doing the work before. I’m still hoping my earlier prediction isn’t right.

Be careful, make sure to make these guys sign NDA agreements. Your idea is unique. You don’t want anyone to copy you! Also trademark your name ASAP. This app is a game changer for resellers!
It’s a game changer for resellers and only resellers. This will fuck up all us customers in at least the retro video game market. EBay is bad enough. Wow I can make X profit if I sell Y to customers. No deals would exist. Everyone would have an easier chance knowing prices and it would be harder for us to search when it’s all 100 or so every listing. No one would buy anything.
