what i am doing is pretty much the same but with lotv in the devils roar. i spam those until there is a shipgraveyard quest, i loot these, cancel the voyage and repeat
putting in the veilstone gives u a lot of the points for the emmissary flag

i've been solo-slooping that way since like a month and i got from 0 to 156 athena (with a 5 day event that was OP for athena). I've noticed you can stack up until 4 quests in a row without problem, and then it becomes quite random. I've been able to do it 6 times in a row ONCE, sometimes 5, mostly 4, then it goes back to flimtock fletcher ruby's.
With experience and knowledge of the islands you'll be able to do 4 or 5 in 2 hours (with luck, ie no eruption, good timing, etc)
On the emissary quest matter, I wouldn't do it because you loose the barrel most of the time due to geysers + its quite long to go to kraken's fall and come back to cinder islet (the final island of the emissary quest). Great video !

I have a question, If you do a Athena Raid voyage on a Phantom hideout, do you get a decent amount of Athena loot?
for those that are wanting a nice farming method, start up a fight with a skelleton fleet, kill all the ships besides the final one, then assuming you are in the right spot (idk if you need to be in a spot for it to work or what) you can jump onto the last ship, find the talisman (t3 relic), jump off and then the ship should despawn and respawn with the talisman back on it. idk how well it works on brigs or sloops but i know galleys are good
i got 50 talismans doing this method and gained 2 mil + 18 levels
How long does it take to respawn?
It’s quite refreshing to watch a Streamer that’s not just about Tucking,Sinking,Stealing etc. there are only so many videos of the same thing a human can watch . Thank you!

Do this on a gally leave 1 person at devils thirst and 3 at ashen reaches to vote. If you have an alliance running ashen athenas sometimes all 4 maps will be on 1 island and you can meet your alliance in the ferry and trade maps with whoevers closest to the island your maps are at to cut out sailing.
I miss Thieves Heaven this trick actually brought some Nostalgia from that period, when we would leave some one at thieves and go to crook, snake or devils ridge! I also loved he new profile picture, my friend @CapitaoChimpa is such a good drawer it’s insane! S2

Is there any way to get the ancuent black powder kegs and the villianous skulls of athena fortune?
Just gave it a try and man is this OP I did it three times and went up 4 levels in Athena, only complaint obviously is the volcanoes but, hey I say this is a win!
Hm I was able to do this last night but now I can’t get a quest with the right three starting islands. They always throw ashen reaches in. Possibly patched?
Sail to devils roar. Activate legend of the vale. If it's anything but a shipwreck at ruby's fall or flintlock pen vote it down. If it is a shipwreck do it. Search every ship to the core then put the vealestone in the mask the vote the voyage down and open another vale for a shipwreck. After 3 you will be grade 5 and can do an ashen emissary. Sell all loot and flag then repeat.
Cool guide but can I ask; at 4:14 you zoom in on the map, was that an edit or is there a way to do that in game? Often end up getting closer to my screen for a better look at maps.

Emissary quest is definitely worth doing. You just have to vote up a voyage of legends. The emissary quest will be for Fetcher's, Flintlock and Kraken's Fall. Before claiming the emissary quest make sure that you get a voyage of legends that takes you to Flintlock and Fetcher's. That way the first 6 maps will only take you to 4 islands and all the athena non chest of legends loot is generally worth much more than the regular voyage of legends.
Same method can also be used other places on the map.
def not worth going all the way to kraken. method in the video is way more efficient than going and grabbing the emissary, sailing to kraken and back. don't do this. just keep voting up ashen voyages
@@itsSteaLy It doesn't seem that bad to go from Kraken's Fall > Fetcher's Rest > Flintlock Peninsula > Ruby's Fall. Sure there are a bit of travel time between Morrowspeak and Kraken's. But that is only about 4 diagonal squares on the map. So only about a half diagonal square longer than from Ruby's Fall to Devil's Thirst. And all the skulls and many of the trinkets you get from the emissary voyage is worth like 5 times more than the original voyage of legends. And then you also get an Athena keg in the end.
@Je-Razor right but you have to go all the way from the southern point of the map, not just from morrows. the gold to time ratio doesn't make it more valuable, you'd still make more money just grinding the two islands

you dont nessecarily need to complete the veil. you can grab a level 5 flag by going into the roar and manipulate the rng into sending you to shipwrecks, take all the athena loot you find, including the locked cache, plug the veil stone in and then cancel; Rinse and repeat.
2-3 visits is enough to max it.

I did this by accident during community day for S11. With Athena 5 and community day grade 4, a 5 stack got me from Athena 17 to Athena 41.
You can also have flintlock-Ruby falls as 2 islands as well.
Question how do you turn on the visible waypoint in the sky
If you ever feel the need to get grade 5 fast and need tiny boosts from each island. Normally the bigger islands in the devils roar have at least 2 stools. They give wayyyy more rep than they should and it has given me rep 5 many times when I'm just short. Just pick them up if you want even more you can bring it back to your ship but I honestly don't think it's worth.
Rushing ashen vaults almost seems nerfed with the two new vaults but they can still get you a good ass amount of money if you stack keys in the roar. Usually before the nerf I used to get around 100-200k gold per vault and would do 15 at a time. So around 2 mil on a good day if you're looking for a pure PvE gold rush and gold hoarders rep. Doubles on gold and glory weekends.
Like Plx said, you wont ever run into anybody in the roar and if you do, it's probably another PvE person like you, and usually they just avoid and ignore you. Never really have reapers come there either but if you have tier 5 rep, I'd still play it safe and keep an eye out.
Anyone do ashen voyages and when you’re digging up some treasure a ton of geysers just deny you the dig?
Also I’m surprised I never saw a video on you getting the gold skelly curse because I saw you were level 1027 with servants.

the devil's roar is flooded with new players now and it sucks bc they sometimes get a sink on me if I'm on a huge island just parked there

i fight the second time after 4 wins in pvp in a 1on1 a galeone or a brig why is this happening that sucks so bad can i report this guys or is it a game error ?
Just trialed this as a solo. Sadly it took a lot longer as flintlock decided to erupt 3 times!

Ok if anyone can help me that would be great. I am a returning player after years of not playing and I really want to get the Athena Commendations done. The problem is the commendations that require ancient black powder and ancient villainous skulls seem impossible to get besides doing a fort of fortune. Every other piece seems very common but I have done many of these and haven’t received one. Any suggestions?

i think the ashen set is from the devils cartographer commendation, just go to your bilge rat adventures tab, and scroll to the Devils roar stuff.
This is great but I’ll personally keep farming Athena talismans till that gets patched

2 hours for 4 Ashen Athenas. Checks out with the steal i got the other day. Joined the server and seen an Athena. We spent an hour and leveled up to G5 Reaper to find them. Solo was just going back and forth, we didnt know what they were doing. An hour later (after sinking another Reaper, and Gold Hoarder) we pull up to a solo in the roar nosed into the island completely oblivious to the reaper on the map barreling towards them. Took like 15 seconds to sink him, and 4 Ashen Athenas popped up to the surface. I lost my sh*t
When you said you were going to do a sick ashen Athena, i feared you were going to do show this trick. Nownits gonna spread like wildfire and get patched. Oh well
