I started playing live after watching ColeTheMan and honestly I’ve having fun, no the mechanics isn’t better than 2k but playing against people who aren’t on the same build doing the same thing over and over again because it’s “meta” is refreshing.

Live is really fun because other than interior defense the mechanic are super straightforward and have a lot less variables. Also being able to have a build maxed wuickly without sacrificing cool clothes is amazing not to mention matchmaking on cool courts within minutes and perks you upgrade by performing actions in game. Just a really fun game

2k needs to adapt the perks system. Not the stupid ones they have now. 1 perk that drastically improves a playstyle you like, slashing, defending, shot creating, passing or knock down sharp.
Interior defense not an issue if you playing with a defensive build and don't get jump happy. Been playing since day 1 lol I know way more about this game than I'd like to admit lol
It’s sad that it takes all this just to give Live ‘19 some attention now. We should have been there in the beginning showing love. It’s a decent basketball game that I revisit every couple of weeks.

I deleted 2k23 a couple weeks ago and let me say it's been real nice not being pissed off while gaming.
I mainly play 2k but the first NBA live game I played was NBA live 18. I was always a fan of how the game looks, the different parks that you can play in, and how it doesn’t cost any money to make builds. The one thing I said Live needed to improve was their gameplay, and if by chance live makes a new game with better gameplay mechanics, 2k would have at least some sort of competition for their next game.
Nba live 19 my player mode was way more rewarding! And it was a surprise to me because EA is way more predatory about micro transactions than 2k in my opinion over the years.. 2k hads been so bad the last couple of years that I only get on when I wanna play one game to kill time
Since live has come back in 16 the rewards have been nothing but deacent. Yeah… the gameplay is low tier but The rewards live offered was basketball related to what the street wear is now for this generation, rare kicks for your myplayer. The blacktops are dope especially being able to team up with nba stars and recruit them for the next city as you progress.
I know that NBA Live is not likely going to make a comeback, but when NBA2K'S game developers at the top refused to do simply of exactly what people from the player base ask them to do and when they start playing NBA Live 19, it's likely going to put them on their heels, so pushing people from the player base away has intended consequences.

This is a good thing, it makes an incentive for both games to start trying to make a better game again. Now that’s there a somewhat competitive basketball game contender it might make NBA Live motivated to push another game out and 2K to start focusing on the game rather then micro transactions. I’m excited to see what happens next in the coming years for basketball games

As a person that has played live on and off for like 3 years and played 20,21, 22, and 23. I can say that if you want a more balanced competitive game go to 2k. If you want a more fun arcade game go for live. I will say tho I would play live a lot more if they still had the the limited time evens with rare stuff like BAPE clothes or T Jass Layups etc

Honestly my friend I believe I did. I was coming in your chats complaining about how I quit the game and still haven't touched it since that day. During that process I rediscovered NBA Live 19. It is pretty fun right.

I feel like live could be better if they just added better defense mechanics and a passing timer so there’s nobody ball hogging in online other then that they got the locations, realism , clothing(could update it) but they have all that’s needed to be good just with a few changes
Every 2k is the same the last few years. The 1st couple of weeks is awesome and you can feel that learning curve your always talking about. But once the first patch comes out the snowball starts and the games get to a state where its at now

blessup AC, smh yea I havnt played 2k23 like I use to a few months ago, im COD a game I havnt played since 'Blacks ops" and now im on COD like never before lol! and most of my 2k friends joined me....smh I tried to play the other day and it was a no Go!....back to COD DMZ and Multiplayer...lol I still have 100k vc left and 2 maxed players...and still I cant get myself to play that game its just frustration I guess...but your right its not fun anymore.... used to have a party so big we needed to separate party chats lol! not so much anymore these past few months.....Bless

YourTuber 2Way has always been playing and showcasing NBA Live and honestly it has its pros and cons just like 2K... One thing I can say about Live it's different courts u can play on instead of looking at the Rec all the time.. Not to mention its not a pay to play game and actually has a "REAL" skill gap... I just think we just need another basketball game out there and people.are just tired of the same ol same ol from 2K... By them being a monopoly in the basketball gaming industry we as consumers are just forced to play 2K as a basketball franchise but until we stop buy VCs and and everything else to get an edge on the opponent they will continue to not only keep putting g iut a cut n paste product, but also contine to raise the micro transaction prices... Nba Live 2019 is pretty good. Didnt start playing until i saw Badge Plug's video showing the game a few days ago and so far it is way more fun than 2k23

Live19 erased all the data so when ppl DL the game no one is ahead, accept the challenges, clothing, etc for those who's been there since day 1, but the update is amazing. The game play is a little quicker, and the defense is amp'd, shot contest is a little laxed, but it's not like 2k where everyone is the same. What you make is what you are. I wish the NBA would just accept the free to play 🤦🏿

*Dope video bro new sub....2k getting stale because they keep switching up the gameplay instead of building off what actually work....ever since ppl started complaining about the shot meter it's gotten worse since and the dribble mechanics ain't much better either cause they keep changing that as well...park mode getting old it really hasn't evolved much neither has my player...the ridiculous prices on building your players is hurting the game especially when it's only one game mode attach to it....2k need to expand the my player mode and park mode....NBA LIVE getting shown alotta love cause it represent the true form of a basketball game the way gamers really want to experience it....all EA gotta do is upgrade NBA LIVE 19 to next gen expand on all their game modes add some new mechanics, new games modes etc and boom its back like it never left.....I really hope EA find it in them to Bring back/ announce a new game the gaming community really need it sports game been very lackluster lately*

I didn’t enjoy the 19 gameplay but it had a lot of good about it . Atmosphere and them parks looked so nice and crispy .
2k just losing out on money raising the prices
2020 - spent over 1k on vc made about 15 players throughout the year
2021-spent about 500 , I made 8 builds
2022 -spent about 700 made 10 builds
2023 - I play both last gen and current gen and I spent about 300 total . They got way greedy and even with a 20 percent discount I don’t think it’s worth it . Made 4 players total

I always go back to Live. I been playing it since 95 on the Super Nintendo.
I played NBA Live 98' all the way up to 19' and owned all 2Ks since the first one on Dreamcast. The best Lives were 09, 2010, 2016 was amazing. And 19 is an even bigger improvement. Not as realistic as 2K23, and much more arcadey...but it doesn't require VC, walking through a stupid city gimmick, clothes and gear are all just earned from playing the game.....and they added unlockable characters. Really fun alternative to 2K.
NBA Live 19 is HIGHLY underrated, playing defense is actually fun, easy to understand & pickup. I also thought the face scan technology was better than 2K too. The blend of street ball, picking up key players for your team after you beat em, then switching to play NBA games was also dope. And most importantly...NO MICRO TRANSACTIONS!!!
Only thing that pisses me off now is that the face scan app is gone & you can't update the rosters.

I've got 5 builds and I only paid for 2 of the 5, I haven't bought Gatorade boost because I for unlimited Gatorade in season 1 and I got a lot of skill boost during Halloween, but I'm over this 2k as well. Season 1-3 were great now it's just trash

bro it was back at the beginning of the year I was still playing NBA live 19, before I had bought 2k23, and 80% of people at least on NBA live said that they left 2K clear back then, reason being more realistic movements more realistic period. not as difficult with having to time just perfect. and overall there's not as much BS. NBA live 19 gameplays graphic skills to 2k23 except for the cutscenes, do you realize how hard it was to try to learn 2K from being an NBA live 19 player for 2 years straight. I recently just went back to nineteen because that's where the crowds at.
I think that the mechanics don't look good. Builds are ehhh but it's got 19 different courts and ppls been having fun on stream and haven't seen one zen user
All live would have to do is make a game that has a park and a 5v5 mode and different play styles and they would be good

Honestly it’s 2k fatigue. If you’ve been playing since 2k14 you know the system, grind my career for badges, spend money on VC for attributes, animations, and gear. Then jump in the park or rec. At some point you need variety

Ngl my dawg ItzRease had me going back to NBA Live 19 since 2k20. I was on it heavy after last gen 21 because that game was straight up SHIT. It's honestly a fun experience AND ITS FREE TO GRIND MY PLAYER QUICK

Live 19’s gameplay isn’t the best but you can tell it’s a lot more fluid than 2k there’s not wild animations and refreshing to not see the same stuff over and over
I like live because you have to play to get everything when it come to upgrading your player or just getting new drip you need to play the game you can’t pay for it. It’s a real grind
2k has and always will be too focused on getting on our pockets, I have always been a big Live fan, and I am happy that its getting revived.

There are so many ways that NBA Live could get ahead of NBA 2k, we all know the gameplay and graphics are underwhelming which we can identify it as the main problem. Building a player is a lot cheaper in NBA Live its a good start to add it to the list of good things for that game, also when it comes to getting the rights of the brands and personnel they are waaay ahead of 2k imagine FIFA franchise they have the rights of the different leagues in every country and continuously updating the faces of the players they also have the rights of the FIFA world cup and almost every country. While on the manager mode they have different cut scenes when negotiating or signing a player and a player who is getting released and also an option of the manager to coach a national team that would play through same format on how the teams qualify for FIFA world cup in real life.
Imagine all of that if the NBA Live can do it like FIFA specially for the MyGM/Association mode of NBA Live
- playable games and real players on the NBA Dleague (almost all of the players in 2k are auto generated from the league cause they don't have the rights for that brand/league)
- cut scenes on free agency negotiations such as signings,trades,waives (FIFA has a cutscenes of manager to manager conversations when trading or buying players from another club, this could be used as a cutscene on making trades in NBA)
-answering media (which 2k has but based on FIFA their media interviews are more entertaining than 2k)
- having a chance to coach for a national team (maybe only for USA because unlike FIFA franchise its the whole association for football, and this one should be focused on NBA (Team USA) since the game is not FIBA Live 24, they had an mode of FIBA World Cup during the early years of NBA Live and maybe they could add it to the association mode like the what 2k made on adding DLeague games on MyGM)
-having a chance to play or use specific scouted players in draft combine even though they are auto generated players (concept of youth academy if fifa, the NBA 2k's version is just simulating the combine and just analyzing the results of the combine)
while we don't have fully control on how the games graphics and gameplay will improve the least we can do is suggest, if you notice that this more on a MyGM/Association mode suggestion its because there are also a lot of players like us who loves playing manager modes I barely play online because my country is far from the 2k server the delays are awful when playing a online game. I used the FIFA franchise reference simply because it is also being developed by EA but I know there are separate development teams for each games, but if the other games of EA Sports are on the top of their fields like Madden who tf challenges the madden franchise? NONE! but correct me if am wrong. FIFA? They are outplaying PES eversince. on basketball? they are getting stomped by 2k. my point is if they can beat PES with their FIFA (i have played both and PES Feels like NBA Live and FIFA feels like NBA2k on a football nutshell) I hope they can also find a way to rise again and challenge NBA 2k.
And don't get me started talking about college ball because EA also made a good NCAA basketball game which i prefer than the college hoops of NBA 2k.

I think they've catered to the sweat community. Those you've spent so much on so many sweat builds that it has made the game completely annoying.
Hell no… They definitely catered to the bums. They added that stupid ‘off-player out of bounds’ call, ‘transition take foul’ call. And the ability to call timeout mid-shot attempt. They really made it easier for bums to troll when they sell & stop getting the rock. Good defense isn’t always rewarded anymore. Good shot timing isn’t always rewarded anymore. Every year, they neuter the game shortly after launch, because the bums complain on Twitter.

I see a common knock on NBA live is the defense, what y'all don't realize is that if you playing with a offensive build you sacrifice defense. If you want defense play with a defensive build.

2k messed up when they Took away the midrange game and increases difficulty on lay ups and non dunks inside. The made the game all about dunking and shooting 3s. The have that cheesy non realistic basketball move like the step back cheese.. nobody does that in real life and doesn't even match actual physics. People only doit because the dribble mechanics are ass you can't even break anybody really it literally all for show but it doesn't really do anything.. And making a contested fade away 3 the easiest shot in that game over a contested layup is rediculous...I'm glad people are stepping away because 2k has clearly abused their position being the only basketball game .. competition is good for quality products.. The iPhone needs competition like Samsung and vice versa ...
The only comment I agree with on here. I played a few games this week and noticed they buffed interior defence on layups. I can beat my man but by the game allows defenders to get red contests on late close outs. If you’re not dunking you’re missing and to even dunk you need to use that cheesy meter. Mid range is obsolete cause the court is small.

They literally made smaller PGs obsolete because they can't finish inside consistently if they don't dunk .even with badges on hall of Fame.. What if u don't want a slow ass 6'9 PG? All a pG can do now is chuck 3s all day.

2k is making money off of 2k10-14. We still have patience for them as OGs who played those and the new young boys are just doing what we do. They don’t care about basketball like us. They don’t even watch nba. This is bad because we just keep forgiving them because the past but look, they gave us 4 good games. Then 15-19 was ass. 20 and 22 was good.

the problem is it the game, the community or just the fact that people need something new
The main problem to me is the split community. Having 2 different versions is not smart. Doubling the workload for the company in charge of making the game and the fact that it literally weakens the amount of people playing one specific version. I get that everyone can't buy a ps5. But there are next gen owners that play current gen as well. We need one solid version of the game. Idc about bugs, glitches..etc it's a video game. 2k20 had bugs and glitches still was better because it was one giant community.
