you know 2k is not a complete game when it doesn’t have a report button
Couldn't agree more. I played one year on PC, think it was 2k21, and it was quickly my last on PC. It was an exact copy of the console version. Had no report function and the cheating was as bad as you can imagine. Four foot long arms and legs, exact copies of NBA players, auto green jumpers. Terrible experience and nothing has changed to this day for their yearly releases.
There should also be a community reputation system as well, but I doubt 2k could ever execute it.

@@slatt0016 COD isn't close. Maybe rainbow is comparable with the clutch or kick mentality. 2k literally couldn't properly do a report system because people would 10000000% report players just for being bad and we know 2k isn't going to put the man power into investigating the claims.
Plenty of cheaters but the game is also so broke. you can be in a mf face like glasses and get a 8% contest meanwhile somebody 10ft away gone give you a 48% contest and let’s not get started on interior for them dunks 😂😂 Game is broke so sometimes it’s truly hard to tell at this point.

I guarantee what causes that is every defender has different levels of defense based on att. ratings, height, wingspan, and badges.
What’s yo height and perimeter defense ratings? Because if u under 6 u should get shot over if u dnt jump n if u dnt have perimeter defense u shouldn’t get a high contest

I’m a proam player I think many ppl are getting accused of cheating just because the game is bad. You can literally shoot right over ppl this year. Think back to Dynasty and Tutak, everyone thought they were cheating. They weren’t and we know that now. My teammates get accused of it all the time. Game just sucks
the problem with NBA2k24 is that they took out RNG, but not cheese. So sure the game is consistent, but that means you can trigger the cheese consistently too
The shot contest is what needs to be addressed. Certain badges stacked together is just unbeatable…they just need to find balance within the game like 2k19 as soon as they fixed pushing that year it made the game better.
So the solution is to force the cheaters to the rec for 5v5? So the guy who comes back from work, and wants to play a clean 5v5 game has to play against someone making all these contested shots/dunks and take an L. I may play causal but I also play to win games, not loses to cheaters. This doesn't resolve the issue. All you are doing is passing the buck down to others in different game modes. Brute said in his video he is fine with the meter in rec but once the cheaters are in rec you guys easily get a 5 and will move to the pro am scene. A solution is not passing the the problem to someone else it resolving it for everyone. This is why 2k is not fun anymore because everyone is just out for themselves. Love the videos but can't agree with this one at all. This is just my opinion on this subject.
Totally agree I don't mind losing every now ad then.ad using those devices ad always hitting half court shots ad ur in their face. On every single take ad still make it is bull. At less nba my career game u don't have to worry about that in on hall of fame difficulty
meter only for offline Mycareer . And keep tryhards squads out of the rec trapping and zoning against casuals put them in pro am same rep system. Then I’ll come back to rec I 🛑 playing in 23 because it’s ridiculous full of content creators and squads

The console networks themselves should have the ability to read the devices connected to the console and disable online play until it’s disconnected the same way charging is disabled on your phone if you got a janky charger.

They all in Random / Solo Rec. Random Rec is probably the testing ground for them before they go to stage.
I play Rec, maybe like 1-2 times I was like dude kinda hit crazy contests but thats it after 100s of games.

Make the shot meter visible to everyone again
That is a temp fix or bandaid to the real problem. Eventually they’ll be scripts with no meter and we’ll be in the same boat as right now. The real fix is to have an anti-cheat software or to have employees answer these reports faster.
A cheater changes his name every day because they know it’ll take about 12-24 hours for someone to answer those reports. By time the employees gets to the report; the cheater is already on their 2nd or 3rd new name.
The crazy part is if you actually max out the build Joe knows has the build is really off the chain
Just take the shot meter off period, except for in MC games. They can learn how to shoot in those games where it only affects them or the AI's.
i got hustled off 10 bucks because somebody said they weren't using a zen but i later found out from somebody they were using a zen after all

i submitted a ticket about my 2-way tenacity booster not having EVER activated even though im a starter 2 (i have an unlisted playlist that i shared with 2k support with proof it never activates) and the staff said i was listed as Rise in the system (even though im Elite) and that the devs would “look into it;” that it would be “handled.”
its been over 2 weeks and still no 2-way tenacity 😭 part of me wanted to reset and go back to elite but i figured its not worth it since i dont even know if it would even activate after i hit starter again, and im 85% to starter 3 for all the locked animations!!
i figured since you have more reach that in your next news video you may be able to bring more attention to this issue? any help to spread awareness for this would be appreciated because it’s annoying that all my friends have it yet no matter how well i play it doesn’t pop up AT ALL!
i play leagues in proam. There has been people u could question if they using zins. But hard to tell. I jist want the glitcj builds gone
I think they should remove the meter from every mode except my career. If they wanna practice their shot do so in solo mode, but when competing against the community or joining the rec with with anything other than 5 you should be scrapped before stepping in there
I have a 3pt shot hunter with 54 shooting badges on ps4 and am constantly accused of having a zen but the game is just super easy to green with my build and set up i can literally hit 85 contest consistently also i use meter to see what type of shot timing to use ie moving set contested etc
When they purchased it, they tried it out in the theater.
So why only remove it from the higher competitive game modes when casuals “higher competitive game modes” are park and rec so because we don’t have a squad or team it’s okay to face cheaters? Or since thats our only game mode we should go get a zen or titans or whatever the f**k bs they using? So we should keep losing games to wack mf because we not in proam? It should be removed in general unless you playing my career or if you go practice your shot in Gatorade

I’ve never came across a cheater in rec, or park, or theater. Definitely in stage, maybe once in proam. It’s really stage. Personally they could just take the meter out of proam/stage. I’ve said this since November😭

Yea I go on once day and I was honestly 6 hrs or more a day even if I'm trash I make defense n rebound guys and I useto buy game right on release passed 2 year I can wait for a digital deal but good videos
I ran into a guy who dropped 67 all on 3pointers fading from half court. Couldn’t ban him couldn’t report him either went to 2k support and didn’t get nowhere either. 2k looks away to these issues and expect things to just fix themselves
I went against a guy averaging 53 per game. He spam this Lebron combo move & shoots heavily contested shots out of it he only took 3s and like you said you can’t do anything but block the player it’s a lot of ppl cheating for no reason at all just to get a W

Dunk meter and layup meter are necessary tho. Too many different animations. Take that damn shot meter out the game tho.

Im always surprised when 2k listens to the community regarding making changes to the game, especially when its not centered around VC. Having said that I am in total agreement with Badge Plugs proposal. If you are going to play in those modes then there should be higher difficulty and an expectation that the player should be somewhat seasoned. Most players go meter off once they learn/master the timing of their jumpsuit like you said so there is no reason not to implement this into the new game. It's crazy that people go to the extents they do in order to be successful at a video game but we cannot act like in doing so they are not ruining the experience for others. Get em up outta here !!!!!
I can't do 2k anymore. When i want a basketball fix. I hit a playnow for 1 MAYBE 2 games. Then I'm OUT. The game is horrendous.

Honestly it's hard to tell now with how easy shooting is. I'm sure with the way I shoot most games people think I have a zen. In reality I'm playing on a 65" with mad latency. Shooting is too easy now

Man allcity I just played a titan in park he made a 40% on my lock not once but 3 times
I played vs one on the two’s court he had no shooting badges vs my 98 ov Lock w Gold Challenger . He had a 70 three ball shooting fades out bounds over a 8’ mascot full contested 3 times in a row . No blinders , agent 3, dead eye he 85% in Rec and Park from three when I checked his stats only a 75 overall

I've came across a lot of cheaters on 2k24 in the rec mostly m in the Rec
If I was accused of using a titan, I would record a video of me playing the game whith my setup simuleteously visible...then you can see I do what I do validly...That would be my first video response and a normal reaction conceptualy in any situation where someone is accused of something which is false and wants to disprove shit.
Doesn't mean he's been cheating, but it's something logicaly realevant so worth taking into consideration.

Easy way to find cheaters while adding to the game
Dedicated servers so that we could refuce the latency we all have when playing. Afterwards, they could work on a replay system for all modes. That would be followed by a reporting system that would let players weed out cheaters while letting 2k check for actual instances of cheating
We need a report menu for online games & from what I hear 3rd third-party devices are more affected by Xbox cuz Sony is putting a stop to it. So I play with crossplay off I don't come across any cheaters based on my experience 💪🏽

No way in hell Joe uses a titan. I watch a lot of his stuff and with how his shots fluctuates so much. It’s just not possible. Not to mention he makes so many tutorial videos to teach how to get better. He’s helped me tremendously. Keep it up Joe.

I been getting booted out rec Like a mf this week. Mid game I would be getting buckets and next thing I know I'm booted. Then I try to play again and I'm banned for 30 min then a hr

When 2k fix randoms intentionally throw games then, the game will be great again. Anyone that constantly throw up contested shots shouldn't be allowed to stay the entire game then quit before the game ends just to sell another team.
They also don't have to play defense, they stand halfcourt and stay the entire game. 2k grading system also needs to be reworked. They won't fix it tho.

Rec has a lot of cheaters so many times I’ve ran into players who we double team and still green it and make insane contested shots
The latency in 2k is so bad and seems like it’s getting worse every season.
I use my meter I shoot 52% frm 3 I don’t trust the game you release the ball early and they say late release also the game is too laggy. I played 23 with no meter and didn’t have that problem
