    Glad companies are finally working to fill that gap between compact track loaders and track loaders. Hopefully Case and New Holland can be successful with this market and get some of the other big companies in on it as well. Personally I'd love to see a 16k-18k lb Kubota

    I love seeing new machines like this 362 super boom, because it gives us a glimpse into where the industry is headed. CNH's construction branch is really giving us something a lot of people want but nobody ever really asked for with this machine, giving us the nimble speed and maneuverability (and comparably low repair costs) of a skid steer with a size and carrying volume of a real crawler loader. Granted, it'll be at least a few years and take a lot of development before we could ever expect to see skid steers become the primary land clearing machines for large developments or anchors for forestry operations, but in urban construction sites, it's not difficult to see how attractive a large skid loader can be. I never would've thought of it.

    So glad the lift highth can dump into 12 yard dumps. Between NH & Case with there big skid steer with the dozer tracks and 6 way blade. These skid steers are starting to be the size of the old school track Loaders. Like CAT and JD and Case use to make in those size ranges.

The Hydraulic fan is something that has a high cost to implement, but it's long term durability combined with it's inherent protection of the powerplant and hydraulic system make it an intelligent choice. I'd expect you will see some of this tech filter down to the smaller machines. Thanks for the look Neil, I'm looking forward to seeing you put one thru it's paces.

    Getting into & out of that thing would be daunting. Neil would need steps in that bucket to get up to the top, then step on the "step" and then into the cab. Plus, the bottom of the door is skinnier so you would have to maneuver around things. It would be ok if you had a dry bucket or attachment, but can you imagine if everything was slippery or covered in mud/manure?!?!? That's why we went with the JCB with the side entrance.

    • @esackett6544
      @esackett6544 Před 2 lety +1

      There is a step on the rear of the bucket so you don't need to step over the bucket. You walk between the tracks and the bucket to access the step.

      Actually Komatsu made a machine even bigger than the 983B. Although at minimal 275 horsepower and 82,000 lbs. + The 983B was an animal of a Loader and one of the greatest Loaders ever made, it was loosely based on the D8K. While the Komatsu D155S was directly based off of a Komatsu dozer model that was in between the D8K and D9H model Komatsu equivalent. The Komatsu D155S had 350 horsepower and weighed like 94,000 lbs.

    ASV came out with a RT135. Has 132hp and 50gpm hydraulic flow

      @MessicksEquip  Před 2 lety +2

      RT135 has an ROC of 4150, this is 6300. Fine machine, but geared towards forestry while this is more of a haul \ dig \ load machine.

      @@MessicksEquip Just checked both sites ROC @ 50% of the ASV is 5929 vs the C362's 6200. The Bobcat T870 is 5215.

    Our Takeuchi weights 17 to 18000 pounds so this is kinda light for its power

    Hate to nitpick, but I believe the Cat 973K is just slightly larger, at 63900lb, and ever so slightly more powerful at 275hp. :-) I think you need to add “Compact” to the track loader category name. Just saying track loader…doesn’t even come close to biggest.

  • @TWinkler02
    @TWinkler02 Před 2 lety +1

    while they are certainly impressive, the specs are honsely not leaps and bounds ahead of something like my deere 333g. while it is higher by 800lbs, the tipping load feels like it should be a little more based on the difference in the size and weights of the two machines, there is a 4000lb difference in operating weights. For the small bump in capacity, it is hard to say if it will be worth the extra fuel burn and purchase price, as personally, i struggle to find things that push the limits of my deere on the farm or the worksite. awesome machine nonetheless!

      ASV has more horsepower, But less boom specs. ASV is ideally suited for forestry. This machine can do that and still be a great dirt machine. The ASV came out shortly after this machine

    Finally :
    A piece of equipment that competes and actually will crush the ASV 120 series outrageous price and dominance on the high flow/high pressure segment.
    I'm impressed by the specs and the engineering design on this machine.
    There is nothing like real Yellow Iron all around you, not plastic panels, plastic rollers, and a "Cadillac" suspension.
    I used to like the T-Rex culture and dealers as a company. Once they merged and switched to ASV, it became a totally different animal (Extremely arrogant) to say the least.
