    I took the heater out of my 620 series Datsun truck to. Simple process. These little trucks are easy and simple to work on. Love them!

      Ease of maintenance/repair is one of the best things about the older stuff.

    I’m glad I never had to do that to the Motorized Wheelbarrow but it wasn’t the best heater. Me & my friend went camping an decided to come home. My friend wasn’t old enough to drive & I made him drive while I was on the floor trying to get warm.
    Keep warm my friend.

      The blower is definitely weak. Takes forever to get the cab warm(ish). I can't imagine it in a cold climate. You'd freeze to death.

    Brian, fellow Tennessee Datsun 521 owner here. Ours is nearly identical, same color even. My son and I are slowly restoring it, but it's complete and runs pretty well. Your videos are really helpful. It's such a fun little truck isn't it!

    My 75 Datsun B210 is almost as simple as this. So easy to work on. Love it. I almost have entire car disassembled (i have to fix a lot of rust) working once every third saturday for about an hour, using basic tools. Every bolt is 8,10,12,13, or 14 mm and every bolt is easy to get to!
    Datsuns are easy even by 1970s standards, they are basically roadgoing tractors lol

    Still say it would be nice if Nissan would bring these little girls back into production again, gas is gettin way to expensive to obtain these days. I fell in love with these 520 series Datsun trucks and I use to own a 77 620 series Datsun truck to.

I fell deeply in love with it and sure do wish that they only could be manufactured once again, only this time, have four wheel drive on them, now THAT would be awesome!

    Great videos. I have a 520 and the headlights are not working. I hear this is a common problem. I would love to see a video where you rewire using a modern relay system. I saw the headlight replacement video. Best! Keith

      The wiring on this truck is really really nice - too nice to change, really. But, I do have a video on a Toyota truck where I did some relay goodness. That may help you some.

      The heater core is no longer produced. That's the reason I had to have mine re-cored. As for the heater box itself, you may get lucky on Ebay. Just look often. I've personally seen one listed there.

    • @ProjectTimeGarage
      @ProjectTimeGarage  Před rokem +1

      I can get 65-70 out of it pretty easily. Gearing is the main limiting factor. It really needs taller rear gears, or a 5th gear. Power-wise, no problem.

    I’ve got two Datsun projects going at the same time, 73 240Z and a 620 pickup. Do you have a email address on your channel? I’d like to get the info on the radiator shop that’s in Nashville and I’ll send pics of our projects.
