We need a rare hunter series with Ruxin and other yugitubers traversing the globe looking for rare Yugioh yugioh cards.
That would be fun as hell to watch, but would cost so much to make those videos due to all the traveling
I’d think Shadow of Infinity deserves an honorable mention if there were any. The Sacred Beasts are cool and the Demise and Ruin both look sick and have somewhat become iconic in their own way. Also neat Rare Ultis like Treeborn Frog and Proto Cyber Dragon.
I agree with Elemental Energy, such a great pack. But I would have put Magician's Force in the list (my favorite of all time)
I think there’s an argument to be made for Toon Chaos. I remember the production issues and shortages stores had because of Covid! Seems like this set lasted on the shelf only a week near me!
The original and GX sets were definitely the golden ages of the series, definitely the most nostalgic ones!

Really been getting back into collecting yugioh cards due to these 25th anniversary sets. So incredibly fun and so much nostalgia, I feel like a 10 year old again 😂
magic ruler and pharaohs servant are most nostalgic for me but your list seems pretty spot on tbh
I think LOB has to be number one. The first set of any card game where it began is always desirable and containing as mentioned in the video, the iconic cards used by the main characters too.

Wow can't believe MRD got the top spot! That was my absolute favorite set as a kid. Only LOB and MRD were out when I started playing and the artwork of the cards from MRD just appealed to me more. The color schemes were just amazing.
Since getting back into the hobby collecting these old cards really hits good

Also, just yesterday I watched your "Top 10 pulls on CZcams" video that included a crazy gladiator assault double pull, it felt like a preparation for today's video. Really enjoyed both, good job
Ruxin thank you, i got into Yu-Gi-Oh collecting 2 weeks ago because i pulled the Ash Bloom QSC on the first pack i ever opened. Beginner's luck i suppose. Ive been looking all over CZcams for a video like this and this is among the only ones like it ive found. Fitting because yours is the channel ive liked the most. A new collector thanks you and keep up the good work!
Really glad you put GLAS near the top. I'd have added at least 1 reprint set like Retro Pack 1 (english) or Dark Revelation 4. They're so hard to come by that the collectability is really a monumental task

I fully agree with Duelist Genesis and Pharaohs Servant. They were the first sets at pivotal moments in Yugioh.

This was a really neat different type of video Ruxin! I'm torn on some the legacy stuff, but I get it! I think 25th anniversary that you have at 10 should be just a bit higher considering its insane collector potential right now

Cool video! I feel like Pharaoh's Servant gets forgotten too often, glad to see it here. I think Pharaonic Guardian is also really under appreciated. It has so many good cards for goat format and the gravekeepers are awesome. Since Yugioh is based around ancient Egypt this set being heavy on that vibe really feels great.
Totally agree with #1. B Skull Dragon is easily my favorite nostalgic card of all time other than the starter deck art versions of Blue Eyes and Dark Magician. Even ignoring my favorite monster the set just has so many memorable and generally good cards. Great list. Love alternative content like this
I’ve never really thought of what I would consider top 10 Yugioh sets of all time. But after watching this video I really can’t disagree with anything that you said. For my personal list I would have to have Force of the Breaker on there and it would be top 5, probably 3rd. But that’s for me personally, other than that I can’t really disagree with any set on your list. Invasion of Chaos and Cybernetic Revolution are two of my all time favorite sets so glad to see they are on there. I knew you would have Metal Raiders on there but I thought you were going to have it as 2 and then Legion of Blue Eyes as number 1 haha. I am glad to see Metal Raiders as number 1. Awesome video and awesome list.
I’d personally put LOB at #1 just cus of how iconic the foils are, but still understand giving MRD the top spot. Great stuff as always!

Having battles of chaos on here was a solid call. A set that I think will age very well.
I liked your argument for metal raiders being in the 1 spot, but LOB should be at the top of the list be default. AND, Pharos servant should have been way higher on the list, simply for Jinzo alone.

EEN def deserves to be here but I’d give an honourable mention power of the duelist just cuz the chase for that ultimate rare dark bros was insane.
For the 300K special you need to open a booster box of each of these sets. Insanely epic
this list was pretty epic and I definitely think that the most nostalgic has to be the GX era cards!

LOB to AST are the best for me for nostalgia but also I like photon shockwave, I knew galaxy-eyes photon dragon in the videogame yugioh master duel and I love the design

Good list and love the history and context! The only thing would be if the modern sets will be impacted by reprints in the future which will see them drop down the list, unlike the original DM and GX sets.

Definitely think that LOB - PSV is most collective. Lots of iconic cards and the best art era Yugioh has had!

I would definitely agree that Metal Raiders should take the top spot. If you were an original anime watcher and TCG player between 2002-2003 almost every pack had iconic cards. I remember pulling B. Skull Dragon on my FIRST ever pack from the local convenience store when I was like 10. Insane times

I feel like a lot of "collectability" status depends on nostalgia. The big cards are almost always anime icons. That being said, some big name cards are just so cool they generate their own hype!
LOB definitely seems like they put it together with the idea of just putting out a product and seeing if it even worked as for MRD being a more thoughtout product for the fan base on collecting/playing the game
It's hard to argue with your list. I agree with almost everything but because LOB was my favorite I would put that at number one. Metal Raiders is a very great set and that is my second-favorite but there's nothing like collecting the two biggest dragons, blue eyes and red eyes, and trying to collect all the pieces to Exodia like a puzzle.
I think all the 5DS sets that did not have a 1st Ed box will always be collectible due to the limited amount of 1st Ed packs and also being sets with some of the most iconic monsters from that series

Amazing list! I would have just swapped The Duelist Genesis and Pharaoh's Servant because even though the Jinzo is one of my favorite cards, Stardust UTR and Ghost + Red Dragon Archfiend UTR just sounds a bit better

Mate, Phantom Darkness and Light of Destruction should have made the cut easy but I agree with many of your picks. Some of the Cyber Dragon monsters you mentioned were also not from Cybernetic Revolution but Shadow of Infinity.
I agree with most of the top 10, I think Synchro Storm would be an honorable mention (Barone De Fleur can be pulled) as well as having the Number One being Metal Raiders is more accurate than LOB because there’s just more to offer.
Very nice breakdown. IOC will always be my favorite.
I would have put LOB before MRD still, and I think SOI deserves a spot in that top with the sacred beasts (ultra and ultimate variants) as well as other cool ultis you can pull from it (Ruin, Demise, Treeborn Frog, even Cyber Laser Dragon...)

Agree with a lot of this list! Only sets I can think of off the top of my head that I'd slip in would be MFC and TLM. Agree with MRD as #1 though! B Skull Dragon is my favorite card of all time next to the perfectly ultimate great moth!

One thing you got right was 25th Rarity collection because high rarity cards are the best to collect imo and all the og sets. Other than that you can’t go wrong with any sets as far as collecting goes. Collect what you like is how I see it

You're right on metal raiders, it's a tie with that and lob for me. But where you went wrong imo was not putting the lost millennium in place of battle of chaos. It was a turning point set with the new wave from ygo gx!
Good take on metal raiders, it has one of the strongest rosters of any set of all time, there is literally no foils you dont want to pull. W on battle of chaos, that is the best core set in years, in terms of new ones. The design is amazing and the collectability is great. Rarity collection is controversial, since it hasnt been released yet I can definitely see the hype😙
Agree with most of the list, I'd definitely would have wanted to see some XYZ or Link era booster sets on this though! But for sure as a collector like yourself, these make the most sense.

I'm in full agreement with these choices, although i would switch MRD and LOB around, but that's just me showing favoritism, lol. I loved pulling the ultimate rares from packs. The embossed texture just made some of those cards look so much better.
I was hoping to see Photon Shockwave on this list. It's one of my all time favorite sets.
LOB is #1 for me due to the variety of prints you can collect in both 1st edition and OG unlim. There’s wavy, glossy, wavy faded, and 1.5 print. It also contains the big 3 and Exodia which everyone all knows and loves.

i would probably disagree with having IOC over CRV, personally i felt like CRV hit a bit harder when it came out but thats just me. lol
