UN's aid distribution in Rafah on the verge of collapse | DW News

  • The United Nations has warned that its humanitarian operations inside Gaza are nearing collapse. The organization says it is no longer able to distribute food aid in the southern city of Rafah due to a lack of supplies and fears over the safety of its staff. It says that UNRWA, its main aid agency for Palestinian refugees, as well as the World Food Program, are unable to access their warehouses in Rafah due to Israel's ongoing military operation. UN spokesperson Stephane Dujarric presented a bleak account of the situation on the ground, saying UN staff are “not sticking around to see who’s doing the firing.” Furthermore, the UN says northern Gaza is experiencing a “full-blown famine,” while the entire Gaza Strip is facing unprecedented levels of hunger.
Earlier in May, Israel launched a military operation into Rafah, a city that had housed over a million refugees, vowing to root out remaining Hamas fighters. COGAT, the Israeli military office which oversees Palestinian civilian affairs, has reported that 900,000 Palestinians have fled Rafah.

But, while Egypt is not letting Palestinians out, they are not stopping most of the aid from going in. It is Israel stopping most of the aid from going in. It is Israel preventing most of the distribution of the aid which gets in. If you listen in Hebrew to things being said in Israel about this, there is an overwhelming support for starving all Gazans, making Gaza unlivable for all Gazans, and that all Gazans including infants are valid Hamas fighter targets which means there are no innocent civilians to avoid killing.

Go to the wikipage Israel Palestine conflict.
You will be surprised that it did not actually start in 2023.
The two sides are doing horrible things to each other for decades.
If you sign up to the idea that oct 7 is justificication for the massmurder Israel commits in Gaza at the momnt
Then why would the previous massmurders of Israel not b justification for oct 7.
Typically israel kills between 10 and 20 times more palestinians than the other way arround.
So if revenge is a valid justification... well the palestians have a endless suppy of things to revenge for
Hamas is not in the fortunate position that they can press on a button and Nethanyahu gets a missle in his face.
So their revenge might be a bit more delayed in time...

It wasn't a random act. It was partly in response to the settlers who are trying to take even more land away from the Palestinians. When you see dates in the supermarket which come from here, they're all the property of the Israelis. They have even taken over all the farming in Gaza leaving the palestinians with nothing.
