I'm currently studying Persian in Isfahan, and believe me Iranians, regardless of their state narrative are vocal about oppression in all corners of the globe. It's never about religion or a common shared culture. In contrast even though Arab states support Israel, Arabs seem to be soley vocal for their own kind. Kashmir, Kurdistan, Armenia, Turkestan never make it to the list of the oppressed. Sad. It shouldn't be about numbers or religion, or independence movements anyways. Poverty and class discrimination are as much of a human suffering as war, and are prevalent everywhere in Afro-Asia and South America.

And do they protest Ukraine?
@@TheZombaslaya People are people; they are against war and death of innocents. And unlike some Europeans, they don't distinguish if it's a white, non-white, or Arab nation. However, since Ukraine have support of whole western countries, they don't feel the need to protest for Ukraine either. And it's very complex. Iran is in the middle of many conflicts; for instance, the same western nations supporting Ukraine have also made life in Iran almost impossible through sanctions. Although the source of these conflicts is the Iranian government, some people feel threatened by Americans and Europeans. These unjust sanctions based on Israel lobbyists just after signing a nuclear deal with G5+1 are true sentiment toward western animosity based on Israeli interests.

The million-dollar question remains, why wasn't it ''occupation'' when Egypt and Jordan occupied Gaza and the WB for 18 years; why did the Palestinians not pursue statehood when these two Arab states had the whole of Gaza and the WB under their watch? It would seem that the agitation has more to do with chasing off the Israelis entirely out of the levant area christened 'Palestine' by the Romans.
2 wrongs don't make it right. The occupation of Palestinian lands is wrong, let it be by Israel or anyone else.
On top of that, Israel is an apartheid state. It oppressing, stealing lands, and it's happening now. That's why the world is not accepting anymore.
My answer to you was removed. I will try again with a shorter answer. The occupation of Palestinian lands is wrong, no matter who does it. We remember Israel because it has been doing it for 76 years now, applying apartheid and ethnic cleansing on top.
I'm not from the area, but I think I can provide an answer to your million-dollar question.
Not all people are political. End of the day, normal people just want to be able to live a reasonable life. Palestinians could live a few hundred years under Ottoman empire, they can also live under another name, Egypt or Jordan or even Israel, if they are afforded to have a reasonable life.
This answer is based on experience learnt from history. My country had been occupied multiple times. If the oppression is high, the revolt would be fierce and the occupation would be short lived. If the oppression allowed the people to live reasonable well, the occupation could last for a few hundred years in peace. We also had a situation with best case scenario when the occupation mixed well with the local culture, and created a new mixed race nation prosperous for a few hundred years.
