This video is about my first year with locs and how they’ve matured and changed over that time. I’m just dipping my toes into the waters of CZcams again to see how I feel about it.

Nice...I'm not sure what made me think to check in with you today, but I'm glad I did. I follow you on another one of my youtube channels, but hadn't seen you in the last couple years or more, and hoped that you were okay during the pandemic. Figured you would be helping out in hospitals during this time when I know they needed so many hands on deck. Glad you are doing well, according to your update. Love your locs. Reminds me when I was much younger. I grew my locs for 18 years, until they grew down to my ankles! Finally cut them off in 2016, and now I'm the old lady with the buzz cut! ;) Pretty opposite you my dear...but we all move through life in our own unique way. [sigh] Take good care of yourself! I feel like you are LIVING your best life from your Instagram content but honestly I love spending 10-15 minutes watching you on here too as long as it doesn’t mess w ur current flow 😌
I definitely tend to share highlights there and take longer social-media breaks if I'm feeling low but overall I've been doing a lot better than a few years ago

You helped give me the confidence to buzzcut my hair because you rocked yours so well. A year and a half later I'm rocking a slightly grown out buzzcut and love it. Your locs look wicked, perhaps like they'd hurt a bit - but so long as its worth it which it looks like it defo is! x nice to see you again!

Really glad to see you!!!!! Your hair looks really nice. I’ve had issues in the past with locs that aren’t authentic (extensions), but there’s something about you that gives me peace and makes me feel like it’s ok.

I rarely comment on videos but I just want to say that I'm a long time subscriber and it's so nice to watch you again! I first stumbled upon your buzzcut video which then made me shave my head (I'd been contemplating for a while - you just gave me that extra push). I just did my last shave and I'm ready to finally grow my hair out again and this time play with extensions - never got to in the past! I'm taking this video as a sign for me to do it. you were one of my inspirations to buzz my head 2 years ago (along with kehlani). you did rock it. and your rock your locs now. it's interesting to me that you have trich. i have dermatillomania. these behaviors are thought by some to be caused by trauma. i remember when you talked about growing up with a mentally ill parent. i felt very connected to what you shared and it was beautiful to me that you created a peaceful and stable life for yourself as an adult. i was so inspired. i hope you receive back the inspiration and wisdom you put out into the world with your channel so long ago, whether that's by staying with this platform or not.

I still revisit your older content from time to time too-your minimalist lifestyle videos became one of my “safe spaces” when I found them a few years ago (it sounds like our childhoods were very similar). I’m still working on making my house my own “safe space”. Slowly but surely, I’m getting there! Thanks for the inspiration all this time.
