LeBron James attracts many pests, but Joakim Noah might be the best player to ever beef with him

  • The Chicago Bulls were really good for a little while there. With Joakim Noah, Derrick Rose, and Luol Deng leading the way, the Bulls had some elite seasons ... like, better than whichever team LeBron James was on at the time. But in every instance, Noah's Bulls ran into LeBron on one of his many runs to the NBA Finals.
Like so many other LeBron victims, Noah developed a beef with The King. What made his unique? Well, for one, he was a much better player in his prime than some other irritants. And besides that, Noah's personality is distinct: Annoying, yet sensitive; prone to dishing out disrespect, but also liable to react when disrespected. All that adds up to several playoff runs full of grappling, bickering, and trash-talking the city of Cleveland. It's a pretty good beef.

Huh. It's that Howard has FAR more upside than Noah. He's more athletic, on a ridiculous deal virtually unheard of in the NBA, and actually was capable of scoring a lot more in the right settings at his peak than Noah. Howard's likely HoF, Noah won't get there due to his career avg on scoring (see: Ben Wallace)

Love Noah. He always struck me as really childish, like a 7-foot 15 year old. I guess that was all part of his persona as a player. Just arms, legs, and hair everywhere. A wild-man! The least smooth, yet effective professional athlete I think I’ve seen.
So hard watching stuff about these Bulls. They were a fun team, a lot due to Noah. They played hard. Derrick was taking over the league, and he was just a kid. It does me good to see him still playing, underpaid.....but getting minutes. It eases the heartache. Derrick needs a ring. No legit contenders need a big backup PG? Get this man in the finals, and get him some quality minutes. I hope he earns that opportunity.
