My Dad's freind 's kid loved the Brave Little Toaster and now he makes a living rebuilding mowers and old appliances

Brave Little Toaster scared me for life. I think it's why I always try to fix my appliances before I throw them out. And don't get me started on used and abused cars. I immediately think of this movie and the old Disney short, "Susie The Little Blue Coupe"
What's funny is someone brought up the nightmare scene on some random comment a few years ago and I decided to look it up on CZcams.
The part with the firefighter clown somehow went over my head as a kid, but as an adult I was like, "Holy shit, this was a kid's movie!" 😂
The part that DID make me feel uneasy as a kid was the appliance store where the owner/clerk has a hidden sadistic pleasure of taking appliances apart, and the radio's freaking out because he doesn't want his tubes harvested.

I rewatched this movie (free on CZcams) as an adult and couldn’t believe how heavy it was to be a kids movie. Whole thing questions the meaning of life. It’s a bit of a stretch but within the first 10 mins the air conditioner takes its own life lmao. The junkyard scene scarred me as a kid 😅

The Brave Little Toaster was my favorite film as a child, to the point of watching it so much it wore out the tape in a few places. Makes sense though considering the amount of mechanical sympathy I have as an adult, even to the degree of trying to save cars from being destroyed yet not having the equipment or complete knowledge to get them back on the road by myself - definitely a stress inducing past time.
Probably also explains why I'm pretty fucked up with how intensely deep and dark the topics of the film go...
