    absolutely love the content, Patrick.
    My partner and I started our agency earlier this year. We've since had about a dozen different ideas about what direction to go in, and are finally settling into our process. You've inspired me to start CZcams content production as well, and I'm realizing just how talented of a youtuber you naturally are. The editing is crazy good. I know it's not your normal content, but would love to see an editing tips video. I also see you implementing a lot of classic marketing strategies in your content production, you've got way more of a foundation than we did when we started -- and than we do now, in a lot of ways.
    You're gonna be so successful in this career my guy, please keep it up. Looking forward to more of your content. Cheers from Central US 🍻

    Amazing video man, Number 1 is the most destructive and important lesson 100%. Iv'e started my digital journey 5 years ago and iv'e been looking & learning everything that i can to start making money online, fast forward today, i still didn't make a cent cuz i've been very indecisive around my main skill and what business model to follow and kept jumping from one thing to another, decided to go all in with Web design last year and I'm happy with the progress I'm making so far ( almost fell for the SMMA and AI race too ) but still reminded myself and stuck to Web design lol.

      @@patrickspiegel Valid excuse lol, cuz they do take time indeed hah. and honestly, I don't wanna pick a niche yet, i just build whatever comes and try to learn and have a wider knowledge about the design & development process for different niches first then I'll pick one soon enough :)

    I don’t think i’ve related to someone so much before. I actually already have my first web design client for $1000 without a contract but i’ve been indecisive for MONTHS choosing a business model.
    I do have an eye for design and actually really enjoy building websites which is why i’ll just work on building sites for now then add on services later
    Great video man!

    • @patrickspiegel
      @patrickspiegel  Před 11 měsíci

      Awesome that you have your first client!!
      Trust me I’ve been there (and still am sometimes) with being indecisive.
      Some people can choose something and start straight way, whilst others need more time to find their path.
      The important thing is to not give up!
      And I think that’s a good plan!!

    Biggest mistake freelancers can make is to thinking like an employee. That means your working for next to nothing. The next biggest mistake is to not offer add enough value for their clients so they feel like they have to compete on price and that is a losing fight because there is always someone that wants to be more poor then you. Dont play that game compete with value offered and speed.

    • @patrickspiegel
      @patrickspiegel  Před 11 měsíci +2

      Absolutely!!!
      And the biggest benefit of providing value is that those clients will probably stay clients for a longer time, and refer others to you

    Loving your content man, I'm early in my web design freelancing journey so this is valuable. I'm curious however, what CMS/builder do you use for your client work? I'm 100% a Framer user so I'm curious what you use.

      @patrickspiegel  Před 5 měsíci

      @skillfulwebdesign that was just an example. Because some clients will expect you to spend as much time as they want for you to make minor changes. Which is why it’s important to have a contract in place with revisions etc.

    When you start your web design agency, do you do yourself the websites or you hire someone? and if you design it yourself, what do you use? do you have to know coding, or you could use website like squarespace, and wix to build the client's website?

    • @patrickspiegel

      I personally still design websites myself sometimes as thats one of my unique selling points. You can design or yourself or outsource (which ever one you want, although i would recommend outsourcing as it frees up a lot of time for you). And I personally use this to design: psxid.figma.com/et23qi4bywz2 and this to develop: webflow.grsm.io/3rkd99edv1qd

    If you offer free sevice to a client, in this case do you have to buy hosting and domain or the client has to buy? And how do you deliver the offered project?
    I am pretty confused with these thoughts, please make me understand.

    • @patrickspiegel
      @patrickspiegel  Před 11 měsíci +2

      The client buys!
      Never do it yourself as you’ll be chasing the client down for the money.

    • @patrickspiegel
      @patrickspiegel  Před 8 měsíci

      I personally think yes.
      Maybe with some clients you'll be able to close them through email or dm, but almost all people will want to get on a call.
      But I wouldn't let that stop you.
      Of course you can try and close them via written, but I would also practise speaking; As long as you can show them the value you will provide, your accent shouldn't matter.
