Honestly the fact that he'd go so far for "just a friend" is kind of amazing. He catered to her weird wants and needs and even went to the hospital for her. In his weird little warped perspective, he's a great friend.

I love how Alan figures it out immediately and is having fun with it, right up until Rowan mentions the kids, then things get serious.
100% because until that point it was just him and her, no worries just them being friends. once kids enterered then adam realized that rowan probably wasn't dad for them at all, dumbing all the responsiblities to her, and in possibility that she is sick, the kids wouldn't have dad to take care of them while mom is resting.

I can already see the skit with Rowan's family coming into the store. Alan sees this lovely woman and her kids asking for Rowan and starts asking her questions, to work out how someone so nice with such great kids could have anything to do with Rowan. Then Rowan comes out and he is like a completely different person, really nice and loving to his family as well as turning into a great manager that gives Alan and the rest loads of compliments and stuff. Only to turn right back into old Rowan when the fam leave and when the others try to ask what all that was about, his diff personality, he tries to gaslight them into believing there was no difference 😂😂

I know Rowan being completely oblivious to things is a thing but not realizing you are married and you have two children is next level even for him. Well, at least now there are heirs to the Techtown empire. And Rowan's dad is probably fully aware he has grandchildren.

This sketch is so simple, yet so well-executed. It feels like a setup for future sketches down the line, and I'm excited to see if it goes anywhere! And even if it doesn't, it can be an incredible pocket-universe style throwaway joke. Well done!

I've gotta say, this is the third time I'm back to watch this episode. I absolutely love the OG Bored vibes. It's as funny as any skit but feels like it fits right in with the first 30 or so episodes of Bored. That second stores was such a perfect location and i love seeing such a large store front back in the series again. The Kick-starter was well worth it. Can't wait to see what more you can do with it.

I like to imagine that off work, Rowan is the nicest and most chill person and everyone thinks that he is a great friend, but for him, its just a bunch of strangers and passing associates.
