reply from nova3d regarding my video
"Below are the answer you mentioned in your video.
1. The hole in the build plate.
The holes on the platform are to increase the fluidity of the resin and improve the success rate of printing failure due to poor fluidity.
2. #5 Generation COB light source.
Unlike a matrix light source, the COB crystal light source is much more uniform.
The light source is very homogeneous over the entire print area and provides the same accuracy and light intensity at every point.
3. Air bubbles on the screen.
We have found a way to fix it and I will email you the solution later, please stay tuned"

Awesome review. The large LCD screen is powered by a powerful and homogeneous COB light source. Unlike a matrix light source, the power-hitting of the resin is much more uniform. This leads to better printing results. I also like whale3e and use it well.
thank you for the insight
First of all thanks for all the amazing reviews and detailed videos. If possible, could you please consider making a video with tips to print flat surfaces or geometric accurate objects? Unfortunately it is really hard to find good information related to this topic since most of the youtubers focus on miniatures where precision is not exactly needed.
I will slowly get there. There are several more steps i need to make tutorial first before get into accurate geometric.
That's a tough one! fruh-NELL. I'll take those giggles over correct pronunciation any day lol. Beautiful prints
"Legend says, he still struggle so say it without giggle to this day"
Thanks Dennys!
love all the indepth reviews man
Thank you
Excellent Review
Love the turntable!
I stole it from my wife.
LOL
Nice! This one would have passed me by.
A good alternative
Great review! What is your opinion about water washable Vs. standard resin? Do you feeling that washable is less strong and less detailed or it is a good alternative?
you have some of the best 3D printer reviews, I watched almost all of your videos in one day when you review the new Nova 3D printer, 14k?
Almost finish testing.
I ran into some issues.
Probably due to the fact it is a test unit.
Great, thorough review! The printer feet are adjustable by the way, all you have to do is screw or unscrew them so you can level the printer so the resin is even.
I see yours has the plastic FEP frame...
The Nova3D Whale3 SE is one of the best printers available, for sure. That steadiness is top-notch for all kinds of prints.
Nova3D came out with the Whale3 Super (flip top) and Whale3 Ultra (Flip-top, filtration and heater), maybe you can review those, too! 😉
So i can force the rubber to loosen so it is adjustable?
@@wangdennys On mine, all you do is turn the rubber as if you were unscrewing a screw, it has a threaded metal post, yes.
@@retromodernart4426 mine is super hard to turn i though it is not adjustable LOL
Okay gotta update the info in video description
@@wangdennys If I recall correctly, it was really hard to turn then it released, like maybe they used Loctite or something.
@@retromodernart4426 maybe, just maybe. It wasnt meant to be adjustable feet.
But since it is threaded, we can use it for adjustable feet. Lol
Another great video Mr Dennys. Even though i dont own this printer just watching how you work through things and explain things helps me to pick up more knowledge for my own Printer!!! Mini 8KS. It is working great. Set it to 1.3 Exposure as we discussed.
I have one request if i could ask a favor.
Can you do a good video on how to Maintain and service a printer to keep it running in tip top shape? I think it would be helpfull to all your subscribers and even to me since I am a new printer owner.
For example, when do you grease or lube the Z axis rail? How often and how many hours of use should you then grease it? Where do you put the lubrication...exactly what spots.
When do you apply oil or grease to the motor "spindle" or "worm gear" of the Z axis? Same thing...how many hours and where do you drop the oil/grease?
What type of oil and grease?
How can we tell if our Motors to our machines are running good or if they are getting weaker or worn out?
Stuff like this. I dont think anyone doing CZcams has put together a good "How to Maintain your Printer" video.
Thank you sir for your consideration
Everyman
I will
Very interesting to see the Fresnel lens. Dimensional accuracy looks good! How does accuracy compare to GKTwo?
Sorry i havent got a chance to get gktwo.
Have you used Nova3d slicer? It is interesting to see the supports. They market tiny delicate supports from their slicer, does it generate optimized supports that are easily removable?
Tried it.
Still take some getting used to
I have a question, maybe it's a taboo, does using antialiasing make the piece lose definition? If not, what is the best antialiasing and bluer image setting?
Check all my previous printer review. You can see the comparison for AA off and on.
But in short, imo. No, they dont.
Are you doing a saturn 3 ultra review?
Is it possible to share STL files that include joystick support?😊
Try an heat the screen woth hairdryer so adhesive gets more tack to it when messaging your woman lol I just took delivery of a Saturn 2 last night over night direct from elegoo I was very impressed as not ment to arrive till Tuesday! I over the size toy anycubic mono 4k and mono 2 hey can fit inside it lol but will get your test prints through it today! I was looking at this one you are reviewing it just looked so cheap n nasty!
Did you removed the Fresnel Lens when you advanced those printing? why?
No
I am just checking
@@wangdennys Ah...You didn't removed that lens....
Yes i dont remove it.
@@wangdennys Thanks a lot!
how call staf what you put on botl
Sorry i dont get it.
sorry, what kind of device did you put on the bottle
@@sergeysolonko2441 It comes with the printer, it's an automatic valve that keeps the resin tank filled without it being overfilled.
@@sergeysolonko2441 it is the cap comes with the printer. For the auto refil
Looks alright but it's not a cheap printer even though the parts and build is!.
Nothing is plastic except the lid and the plate screwcap...
Oh my God, what happened to your right thumb nail? Won't that snag on everything?
Hahahaha my pregnant cat thought my thumb is a snack.
Yes, and i have to be carefull, else it will get rip
You were losing about four hundredths of a mm on that dial gauge with every step, and you called that good?
It returns to 0 and that is good for me.
Proven by the print result all parts connection match very well.
Looks like you don't understand what was being measured here, or how a resin printer is supposed to work - if you can understand that 0.04mm is exactly four-hundredths of a mm, and that the layer height on this printer is 0.05mm by default, maybe you can figure out that simple and precise movement step accuracy that's extremely obvious in finished detail prints, objectively and relative to other consumer 3D resin printers...
Maybe your eye was off by about a hundredth of a millimeter...
