You can't go wrong with Autoglym. I've used a lot of brands but I always go for the Autoglym, it's more expensive than others but you'll get the performance you expected.

One thing you might consider in these test is what is in them..meaning sonax's ingredients are not toxic to the user.. so its a safer product to use... not sure on the autoglym side

Hi Jon - I used Gtechniq C2 for a while which I thought was great… however, I experienced terrible water etching on my obsidian black paint on my bonnet in particular and it is still there today even after hitting it hard with H9 Koch Twice…. I ended up dumping the C2 in the bin and will revert to good old wax… I’m fed up of ceramic products.

The Sonax was my first venture into an affordable ceramic type spray and I like it, even though my car is dusty the shine still comes through.... have to say that I only have German products on my shelf so either Koch or Sonax.

By far one of my favourite (not necessarily marketed as ceramic) spray on rinse of products like this is Bilt hamber touch on. Bilt hamber touch on performs really well and is sooooooooo much better value for money if you make your own trigger spray bottles with it

I'm.still not sure I get why beading is so highly valued. I get thst when you drive a wet car the beads fly off but if it sits there and drys then it makes just as much of a mess of the paint as anything else. Surely a sheeting effect that forces water off the panel would be better in both scenarios, stationary and moving car?

@@audieconrad8995Something I'd recommend for Maine- I've heard you've had harsh wintere that way- if you watched many of Jons videos on this channel, I recommend Bilt Hamber Touchless snow foam, and I can absolutely highly recommend Bilt Hamber Touch-on shampoo- its got super concentrated ceramic in this and also it gives the paint a super slick finish that feels thick. Plus, you'll never need a sealant afterwards, as it's already sealed, just towel dry and the harsh winters won't touch it! Thats what I use here in the UK with wet and salted roads here- I've tried Gyeon wet coat and a few other sealants and temporary ceramics but they don't last as long as B.H Touch- on shampoo 👌

I’d pick some up in a sale like you say sure - my go to ceramic spray sealant type thing would Gyeon’s Ceramic Detailer (yer i know it’s a detailer but awesome) or the Autoglanz Prizm. Epic product, very cheap, very easy to apply wet or dry, very high beadage and very durable - what more do you need ?

If you use bilt hamber prewash products with sonax, then they die really fast. But I use many years prewashes, which gives even better cleaning than BH autofoam or surfex, but not touch sonax beading. It makes even brilliant shine long term lap. Find products, what fits each other and you are over the moon. Takes time but worth it. I like bilt hamber products, but hold them different lsp not sonax products.
