A Ford HR personnel cold called me, I said I had automotive experience, she said I didn't and she declined to speak with me further. I deleted my employment profile from Ford's career portal. I will not work for Ford or any of their vendors, they don't want me, they told me so.

Ford and the other domestic manufacturers need to focus on putting out a quality product to even start to justify the prices they are charging now for vehicles ice or ev. The fact that cpo’s often carry better warranties than new vehicles should make them think about putting a bit more faith in their own warranty and go beyond the 3x36 model that has been around for years. They are pushing loans out to 6 years how about a warranty to match?
Credit where it is due to Mitchell for pointing this out. Mitchell and Town and Country are an excellent dealership being let down by Ford’s quality control.
If the way of vehicles now is going to be $50-80k+ stickers then folks want a quality product that is built well, not something that is subject to several recalls

So I am shopping for a new F150 Lightning and decided to check out this guy's dealership since he seems to be on the up and up. Nope, same old crap as multiple other Ford dealers I've dealt with. I live in a different state so I inquired on the one I was interested in which had a pretty big dealer discount listed. I asked for a written quote on that model to confirm the OTD price so I could make arrangements to buy it. They got back to me and promised a quote. A couple of days later I get a quote for over $8K higher than the price listed on their website. I write back asking why the discrepancy and they reply that oops they accidentally had the tax credit of $7500 listed on all vehicles which doesn't apply to a Platinum. That is absolute B.S. as they still have the vehicle priced that way and there is no reference to the tax credit, it's listed as a dealer discount. This bait and switch crap is turning me away from Ford altogether. I told them I'm not interested in it at that price and they said if I have a Tesla I can get another rebate. I don't have a Tesla and a $1500 rebate to make up for yanking the $9K discount away is not going to cut it. These things depreciate way too fast to pay full retail. I get it if they don't want to discount, but they need to post the actual price and not waste my time responding to an advertised price they have no intention of honoring. A day later the fake pricing is still listed.
I like my old ICE F150 Harley Edition but wanted a new commuter vehicle. I didn't like the Ford dealer experience in 2014 when I bought an SUV so I went with a different brand. So did my daughter and my neighbor, all who went to Ford first and left because of shady dealers. I guess they will lose my business again as I won't deal with people who are dishonest.
