    Youre good at your job . Nice and attentive. Remaining assertive even while others dont seem to take any interest , care or concern for the job duties and the lovely patients . Thank you for stepping up and making sure things are done correctly and properly . much love and appreciation ma'am.

      Venna Queen thank you so much and I’m glad I was able to help. They didn’t train me either . The day I started working they just told me to watch other people and copy then .

      Venna Queen omg really ? Even though I’m 2 months late good luck on everything and I hope everything is going fine with your job. No training would make me 100 times more nervous 😬

      @AshlieGray  Před 3 lety +3

      @@breneibel6789 hey and no they really don’t train you . All you do is shadow someone for 2-3 days until you kind of understand what your doing and I hated it to. When it was my first day I had to shadow someone girl that was weird and kept sitting down every 10 mins or hiding 😂

    How do you typically start your morning? How are the tickets obtained? Also thank you so much for doing these they are so helpful ❤ also I have orientation Monday what should I bring?

    • @AshlieGray
      @AshlieGray  Před 4 lety +13

      So when I go in for the morning. I get the senses ( it just tells me if we had any new patients that we admired overnight while we were away and it make sure that no one gets left out ) I start the coffee and hot water for the floor. The trays are usually set up along with the drink. so I got down the isle and check all the tickets to make sure they have everything on it that the patients want. After that I get started on tickets for the afternoon until it’s serving time. And thank you just trying to inform people on things that I didn’t know starting. If they didn’t get you Id and social card yet you should bring that with you. Wear non slip shoes and don’t forget your mask. You can bring a little snack with you just Incase your afraid to ask them to make you something to eat the first day.

    Hi! I love your videos! I appreciate the insight and being the scenes. I am considering applying since I have a lot of experience in the kitchen & im currently in nursing school. It just seems like a good start. How did you go about applying? What were some sites you used? And how many applications did you do before you got called back! Lots of questions, sorry! This is inspiring, You’re doing great ❤️

    • @AshlieGray
      @AshlieGray  Před 2 lety +2

      Your questions are never to many love! So I only applied one and they called me back since they were really short staffed. I applied on indeed it’s the main place that I apply to jobs on and it let me know when they have check my application and if they are scheduling me an appointment or if I was rejected. When you apply it should be fairly simple. They may ask why you want to work their and from what I just read you will just explain that again and don’t forget to include that you believe it’s a good start and you would like to help the company and kitchen strive in anyways possibly

      Just keep in mind that they pay is not the best. My experience was fine but I wasn’t getting paid enough and that lead me to leaving. A lot of other comments I have got have said the same thing about pay but if it’s what you are loooking for to start off and get the experience please do it ! ❤️

    Are female workers allowed to wear long dresses or skirts as a dietary aid? Or everyone must only wear uniforms and pants? I would like to apply for a this kind of job, but I wonder if they allow female employees to wear skirts or dresses if they want

    • @AshlieGray
      @AshlieGray  Před 3 lety +3

      No, You’re not allowed to . you will be in the kitchen all day and that’s not safe. Everyone must wear the scrubs or uniform they say. Only people that I have seen wear skirts or dresses were the Human Resources lady, front desk, or people that are managers in the building that don’t have to come in contact with the patients

    • @AshlieGray
      @AshlieGray  Před 4 lety +3

      I would love to but sadly I haven’t been at work lately. We are scheduled depending on how many patients we have recovering. ATM we have about 25 patients and we should have over 45. I will definitely do it once we start having more patients

      @AshlieGray  Před 4 lety +8

      I don’t really enjoy this job honestly. In the beginning yes because the boss cared and everyone worked together not it to the point where everyone I here seems miserable including the boss. They job itself is fine just the people. This has become a job to just come to , work and then leave.
