I was just pointing out that the strength of Muslim belief is the driver behind "homopobia" rather than anything going on amongst white liberals & leftists. Though the trans movement could probably be described as "homophobic" in some cases - but that is tiny. The irony here is that leftists and liberals support the mass immigration of patriarchal religious groups who will ultimately subjugate them. I oppose immigration but agree with the Muslims and the average black or asian Christian immigrant on a lot of things.

It’s shoved down everyone’s throats and if we aren’t 100% on board with every single bit of it, we’re labeled as bigots or phobic or whatever. It’s exhausting. It’s creating more hatred that wasn’t even there.

It’s ironic that Wokeism is arguably more racist, sexist & homophobic than it claims to be because these woke people who are getting offended on behalf of people who probably weren’t actually offended by something themselves and basically self dubbing themselves as the ambassador for a certain community. Like say for example a comedian makes a misogynistic joke, but the women in the audience found it funny, but a random guy comes along claims to be offended and thinks that the women should be offended too… that’s arguably more sexist than the joke.

I had a friend who was a lesbian, then was a nonbinary, then was a trans or whatever. She said to me "I feel like a man." My honest question was "Ok, how does it feel?" She couldn't answer it. It was an honest question, I'm a man, but I wouldn't know how to define what "feeling like a man" is, because I cannot know what it would feel to not be a man, so I have nothing to compare with.
Furthermore, we had a discussion in which I said that I'm attracted to MEN (because I'm gay) and she went on to explain that I SHOULD also be attracted to "trans men" because they are men also. I said I probably would NOT be because I'm attracted to MEN. Then she went on to say "Oh, that's called 'genital preference'". I was like "Uhm, no, it's literally not. I've had sex with men without even seeing their male genitalia, so it's not a preference for the genitalia, it's a preference for them being MEN."
And so we went on in circles for a while. Eventually I ended that friendship over something completely unrelated, but god, was that a relief now that I look at it in retrospect.

@@WoodlandAsh My apologies, this could have been worded better. I have problems only with those who demand special treatment. You speak of equal treatment and I FULLY support that. It is just the entitled acting folks who seem to do it more to cause problems and stir the pot. For example, as a teen I encountered my first trans person working retail and had never really had a discussion about it growing up so I was taken by surprise but I very quickly collected myself and treated them like I would anyone else without thinking twice. But folks, in any situation really, who demand respect and acknowledgment I have a problem with. Lately it is the alleged trans folks and bizarro pronoun folks that I just have no patience or respect for and I will not cave or cater to their feelings. Do I feel bad they are not getting the help they clearly need? Definitely. Will I cave to their feelings? Nope. Being Gen X, I saw the struggles the LGB community has gone through and I have all the respect for the trans folks who actually live as their identified gender because that takes work and proves they needed it. But X and frog and fairy pronouns and men calling themselves women, pfffft. The ignorance of physiological science to play as the other gender, nope. Boundaries are being crossed but I will support those who deserve it. I will not have ideologies and beliefs crammed down my throat and forced in my face any more than LGB should have to deal with. Same goes for religions, not going to tolerate having those beliefs forced on me or others. Live and let live or face the criticism and rejection. Hopefully I cleared that up.

    It's quite simple really.
    One example:
It's not ok for a straight couple to eat each other's face in public at a schoolyard. Even local gays agree on that one.
But applying the same standards on a gay couple is grounds for hate, assault, damage to property and attempted legal action for homophobia.
I don't care what partners people choose, so long as everyone consents and is happy with the situation.
I will not budge from this line in favor of "gay equal rights", and risking getting attacked over it definitely makes me grumpy towards the people doing it.

One of the common issues with all of this is using terms in a way that is not appropriate. A lot of conventional "homophobia" was never about the irrational fear of homosexuals. The term, like "transphobic" is used to slur and deflect from the actual issues. Previously, those issues involved quite a number of people who predicted the current gender insanity as a result of the far left activists grip on the gay marriage "movement." One of those many predictions was the mainstreaming of MAPs, the term by the way is part of that very prediction. We are watching the results happen in real time. Yet there are also plenty of people who STILL will say that that is not really happening. How many gays are watching all of this going, "holy mudpies Batman, how did our desire for equality turn into this insanity?" People have been warning about this level of crazy for a couple of decades, but they were dismissed as "homophobic."

I think the term phobia is used and appropriated by the left to mean a dislike or hatred of something. It just seems they abuse the term to somehow insinuate that any hatred or dislike the left disapprove of is some kind of disorder and sickness of the mind.

There’s a new generation now who have grown up with these ideas. Mention the name Gareth Roberts (the author being interviewed in this clip) to the ones that both like Dr Who (which he used to write for) and are ‘on message’ and their reaction is very clear. They see him as an anti trans bigot who is completely and permanently cancelled for whatever he said on Twitter some time ago.
He’s basically torched his professional career by speaking against gender ideology and transgender ideology. Any chance of writing another episode for television of Dr Who is gone along with umpteen other slammed doors.
A recent interview with Russell T Davies made it clear that there’s a presumption within his profession of writing and producing television of being very left wing. With a very clear indication that anyone who was known to not be very left wing would be shunned. These people talk about diversity in terms of immutable characteristics, but they gatekeep to ensure that diversity of opinion is.
People like Russell T see themselves as the good guys fighting bigotry, oppression and all the ‘isms and ‘phobias of the evil right wingers. But an increasing number of people see them as the villains. Dangerous, destructive and subversive.
