    This race is done by a car enthusiast channel, of course its going to be bias, same as the biker channels are. Truth of the matter is round a track top performance cars and bikes are very close, cars having the main advantages under braking and the bikes under acceleration. however value for money for the performance, motorbikes are unbeatable, but they take a lot more skill to drive fast and are a lot more dangerous. ride safe, peace!

    • @Ninja8492
      @Ninja8492 Před 9 lety +2

      Ajay Kumar The fact is that it's obvious... and it's not a good comparison. The car is not quicker than the bike because it's a good car, but because it's wet... I mean, with wet track even a 60 bhp car could be quicker than a bike (if you race on a circuit with lots of corners for example). So the point is that this comparison is meaningless

    • @ajay0841
      @ajay0841 Před 9 lety

      If this is obvious, then a liter class super bike beating a car when it's bone dry is obvious too. It's obvious that a bike will be quicker unless you consider insanely expensive HyperCars. One race in the wet and everyone starts complaining.

Of course every car has more grip on a wet track than a two wheeler, just redo the test on a 30°C summer day and let the motorcycle warm up for 3 laps you will get a totally different result. Its not surprising that a motorcycle is better in accelerating than in that sharp corners .

      Skare147 rocket is aways trying to compare the two. Those of us that both drive and ride understand the incomparability of the two. For little boys obsessed with cars they can only dream about, the idea that some one could have more excitement and exhilaration on a different machine, for just a few pounds, well it kills him.

      First of all, comparing a bike and a car in wet conditions is completely retarded. If you think the M5 stands a chance against the s1000rr in dry conditions. You need serious help. If you try pushing the bike slightly too hard in the wet you're going down. Same with acceleration. The contact patch is just too small. Cars have much more contact patch. Both machines are awesome and would be a lot of fun to drive. But the bike would be much faster around a dry track. My 2 cents.......

    • @JethroRose
      @JethroRose Před 10 lety +1

      a car can beat a bike in a straight line, but it won't be a stock car outside of something like an F1, Veyron, etc. a proper sports car will brake and turn harder than a bike. but... you can get insane performance from a bike for under 20 grand. to get anywhere near with a car you're looking at nearer 200 grand. and bikes are more fun anyway. because wheelies.

Yes, 20 grand vs 200 grand, you don't get leather seat, trunk, air conditioner...in a bike! can't compare the price between 2 completely different things man! We're talking about speed. What a stupid video. So what did we see here? Motorcycles are much faster due to their superior power to weight ratio. However on a dangerously wet track they'll have to slow down enough that a powerful car can almost catch them.

      thatabu if a car loses traction it will oversteer (in the M5s case) and the driver will handle it easily (especially if he is a racing driver like here) the bike will oversteer and hav the risk of falling... how many car drifting videos r out there compared to bike drifting videos? loads more as bike drifting/oversteer is loads harder to control than that of a car... dry conditions wud make a huge difference

    RWD isn't a problem in snow.
    Unless its really slippery and up steep hills, you won't have any trouble as long as you use winter tyres.
    I drive a RWD car in the winter with lots of snow, and despite no LSD (Which I sometimes miss) its fine for driving around. It won't accelerate like a bat out of hell, because of the traction limitations, but if you keep TC on its dead easy.
