- The Tikka T1X is an excellent rifle for NRL 22 competition. But is it the best choice for the Base Class competitor? In this video we'll discuss the pros & cons of this rifle so you can make an informed buying decision.
Tikka T1X MTR 22" threaded barrel
Vortex Diamondback Tactical 6x24x50 scope
Vortex Pro Series rings 1.00" height
Diversified Innovative Products 25 MOA scope mount - Sport
Great video my friend! I'm getting mine in this week and going to mount it in a oryx chassis with an arca rail and a vortex strike eagle along with the 20 moa rail and a atlas bipod...can't wait and your review really helps me with the ammo selection. Thanks!
Excellent presentation 😉 thank you 👍🏻
Thanks for the vid! Very informative and insightful, especially regarding the upgrades/accessories. Thoroughly enjoyed it...even more excited to purchase this rifle.
Thanks for the kind words.
Great video 👍 I just picked up a CZ 457 American and I love it. At the time I did look at the Tikka t1x and it was a very close 2nd. I liked it enough that I will be picking one up as well.
My last grouping with mine was .748 at 100 yards with bulk federal black pack! That bulk ammo is weirdly great. With Eley ammo my last two 5 shot groups were .616 and .87 at 100. Friggen love this gun.
Great breakdown and informative look at a really great rifle!
Thanks mate!
I have mine for about half a year. It shoot wonderfully. What I found that even on 100 m, it shoots SK Standard and SK Rifle great. No need to go superexpensive Eley Tenex or Lapua, as with CCI SV and SK I had best groups (submoa). Actually, Lapua Center-X did not shot so well for such price, not from my gun.
For fun plinking at shotgun shells and sugar cubes Federal RTP or Federal champion bulk are accurate enough and very, very cheap. With that ammo you can definitely take down fox or rabbit up to 100 m without any problems.
Yup, the length of pull is short. Thank God because it fits me!
nice video. Cant wait for the comparison of the CZ
In a few days!
Auto match seems to shoot decently in most guns and in these times I'm happy to find it
Yes it is
KRG Bravo stock and your away on a hack 👌Great review
Great vid! Just picked up the Tikka T1x as well. What bipod did you end up going with? Thx again!
federal auto match is a CLOSE 2nd to standard velocity in my opinion due to the price. only downside is its supersonic.
This rifle is inexpensive to own and tons of fun. It's well made in terms of it's price and shoots accurately with CCI ammo. The only complain I have is it does not come with a picatinny rail and you will have to make some effort to find what you want.
DIP has them easy to find
www.diproductsinc.com/Detail.aspx?PROD=1406429&CAT=3601
The Rifle is now $539
Plus rings and a 2x7x33 Leupold Scope...I'm at $893
Cant find the 16" version anywhere oddly.
Should I remove the plastic thread protector when I shoot this Rifle ?
Please do a comparison of the Tikka T1X vs CZ 457 22LR
It's coming soon!
I would also like to see that video. I love my CZ 455, but I am currently looking at the CZ 457’s. I might change my mind.
@@aplauche9416 It's in the can. But I edit and upload on a Windows PC and for some reason Google has locked me out on any Windows device. So I've had to take a crash course on iMovie, editing, etc. and I should be uploading in a couple days.
I have both and they shoot equally well. It’s the loose screw behind the trigger that’s the problem (me…. Haha ha ha). I love both platforms, but right now I’m just loving the T1x magazines. Can you say, “Magpul?” Anyways, that’s just an uneducated guess. LOL My 457 is a synthetic and placed into a KRG Bravo for the adjustability for my clients and juniors to shoot.
I have the T1X and the CZ 457, the CZ is better in my experience.
Can can u get a bigger magazine for it ?
10 rounds are standard, haven't seen anything larger
Anyone selling a tikka. Just trying to get my hands on one
Im sorry.... I laughed at the fact that you compared how smooth the bolt is, to a voodoo... then threw a remington 700 in there... R700's are garbage compared to a tikka, stock for stock.
