Awesome video! You do a really good job underscoring the importance of planning ahead.
I also really enjoy that you show the work in a time lapse fashion and voice over it since it shows real progress rate, but also allows you to add color commentary after the fact.

Demo is alot of work but can be stress a reliever 😀. Good point on planning before you start demo is critical. I always try to do the recessed late above the shower as well.Good job BRT!
Thanks Josh, yeah those halo lights are awesome. I’m always impressed by things like that after years of using can lights and dealing with framing that would be problematic for centering 👍

That's some good progress for one day. Was probably the easiest demo possible though also. It took me days to demo my bathroom in my house. Mud bed and tiles on all the walls and floor, plaster, cast iron tub, blown in insulation, long trip to the dumpster... you name it it had it!
Mud bed walls are the worst! Takes a lot more time! I have one coming up next month. I don’t think I’ll get it all in one day like this, 😆

In a home built in 80s & older probably not, anything before absolutely
Curious, what do you normally do when remodeling a home built prior to the 80s? Will a respirator suffice? Thanks

Problem is that you could be buying a house that already had these things in place. And you find out about it as you plan to renovate and change things. But yeah, I agree with you it’s definitely hideous. Lol
