- Yes I DID wait until December 1st to post this 😂 Tonight's video includes whispering, page flipping, tracing and lots of fun holiday magazine pictures for us to pour over! Also including my very helpful assistant, Jesk. Great work on this on Jesk let's keep it up.

I’ve never needed ASMR as much as I’ve needed it the last few months. In October I lost my brother and then November 23 I had to put my beloved bishon to rest. And it’s been really hard for me to just lay down and relax. And just turn off my mind. Your magazine flip throughs are some of my favorites. Thank you so much ❤

Michigander here, I loved that part too. We use the pointing to the hand thing all the time to show a city or give directions. Its such a normal thing to do here, its weird to see it being explained like an interesting idea 😂💛
When I was in college it was super popular for people to take it a bit further and get a little star or heart tattooed on their hand so they didn't even have to point at it, just hold their hand up.
Definetely can't forget about the Upper Peninsula of Michigan--we exist too haha 💕

My mom is from Michigan and our entire extended family lives up there, so she also taught me how to use the mitten when describing locations - I have a birth mark right where Grand Rapids is, which is really convenient since that’s where most of them are located 😂

Lol I'm from Grand Rapids in SW Michigan and yup, the hand thing is real. Those that live in the U.P. though (upper peninsula) are off the mitten, it's true. I feel we rarely see the yoopers down this far south though, there's an assumption that those in the U.P. live in the woods, very rural, lots of National Parks

There is another "mitten" kind of for the Upper Peninsula of MI. And I never really thought about it, but it's probably mostly just people from MI that use the mitten map lol. I've heard of people from other midwest states doing it too

LOL, as soon as you started talking about Michigan, I knew you were gonna talk about pinpointing locations on the mitten. 🤣 I don't think it came as a surprise because I live in the States, but it certainly never hit home until I lived there (right in the crook between the pinky and the rest!) and someone online called me out on it. XD

So, funny story. My two year old loves Country Living. He found one at my grandma's and got immediately attached to it. He looked through it over and over until it was literally in shreds. I've tried saving toy catalogs for him, but he doesn't want those. He likes Country Living and also my father-in-law's farm land auction catalogs 😅. He's a strange child. Anyway! I'll have to show him this video sometime!

I really love the hot chocolate breathing visualisation. You imagine you have a cup of hot chocolate in your hands and take a deep breath in, imagining how it smells. Then you let your breath out really slowly like you're blowing on the chocolate to cool it down. Hope this helps!x
