- I hope you enjoy this soft spoken video unboxing both Series 1 and Series 2 Animal Crossing Tomodachi Doll sets from Japan, these tiny flocked figures are so beautifully designed. While filming this video I got to appreciate all their details even more than when they arrived! I need to figure out how I'm going to display them. Definitely going to utilize those tree props and stand I made, I'll create some kind of cute scene 🥰 So where can you get these figures? I preordered these first two sets from Big Bad Toy Store, but recently I noticed they've popped up on AmiAmi as well. If you're in the market for just one particular figure I would check out ebay, I've seen many sellers splitting their sets up, although it can be a bit pricier to buy just one. I suppose the ideal situation would be if you and a few friends wanted to go in on a set together and split up who gets which one. Series 1 actually included two Marshals for me, so I gifted one to a friend! She was absolutely smitten with him, he's her favourite villager.

I just want to say that I really appreciate that you keep some of the actual "unboxing" footage in the video, the way you delicately take them out of their boxes is so relaxing!
Aw I'm glad you liked that! I had to cut a lot out since it can be pretty loud or unpleasant but it's nice to keep in the quieter parts :)
They put sweets/candies in the Japanese ones so they can be sold in the sweets aisle in supermarkets ☺️

I love you for doing these videos. It keeps me from buying so many little toys but I still get the thrill of it. It took me a long time to realize that wanting these awesome trinkets is more fun than actually acquiring them.
I'm not sure if you already know, but Japanese small toys first started as a plus one for kids snacks(just like how McDonald's give out kids toys when one orders a kids meal). Then the toys accumulated more popularity than the product itself so the companies developed further into making better toys. Nowadays, the toys have completely taken over as the product but they still come with a small candy or gum because they need to be categorized as "food with toys" in japan (i think perhaps for tax reasons or such? Not quite sure I'm korean so i might be wrong). That's why there is a candy for the first series.
Not sure why it's not in the second series but hope that helps explain why there is a candy in the first one!

When you were saying "series 1 and series 2" it gave me so many tingles and made think of the eye doctors and I realized you have the perfect voice for an eye appointment role play! I lucked out with Raymond, too! I got the game a little later than most, so I wasn't familiar with how popular he is. He was the first camper to visit my island, and when my friend (an Animal Crossing veteran, at that point) saw him on my island, she freaked out! He's one of my favorites, for sure. He gave me his photo recently, too!
