Now is the time to advance into understanding Dialectical Materialism. Do not confuse Dialectical with the group Scientology. Two different subjects. Dialectical Materialism explains how we are and is part of the Natural World and how to understand evolution and other scientific dynamics. Great Subject. Theirs is dialectical, you want Dialectical Materialism.
Try reading on the subject of Dialectical Materialism. Reading is fundamental. To grow one must have above adverse reading habits to build skills. Good luck.
I'm from the USA. I want to group chat with people from other parts of the world who are devoid of this religious dogma. I cannot have athiest type of conversations with most people I encounter. I am looking forward to a great new beginning with like minded people.
The black community is strongly oppressed when it comes to developing freethinkers. Religion in the black community is dangerously rampant and destructive. I love seeing black atheists who take the courage to denounce the silly mythology of Christianity, Islam, and so forth. Good for her! 🎉😊
Those family prayers before dinner be hella uncomfortable for me since I'm the only atheist in the family. While everybody head bowed and eyes close I'm just staring at the food like👀👀👀
Amazing! My parents lead the church I went to growing up and it has taken most of my life to break away from the indoctrination. Even now I’m still fighting the lingering vestiges of my old belief. It’s incredibly fascinating to hear someone who largely grew up without belief share their perspectives on the matter. I hope to do the same with my children as well. Thank you!
What a clever smart young woman. She brings hope to an old man like me. In the words of the rock and roll classic, the kids are all rights. Hope to hear more from her.
Inspirational! We need so many more minorities and women. Let us hope we all can join in the human family we all are under the banner of Secular Humanism.
So well written. I love her references to how religion might have been a necessity for the times but today we have resources and knowledge. There is no excuse but fear that keeps us under mystic relics of the past. Following one person (saint) as the highway to heaven.
Wow!! And double Wow!!. I love your unapologeticness if there is such a word. Too many of us including myself, call ourselves agnostic or humanist, when really we are Atheist. It's our Atheism that makes us humanist. However! As you say, Atheism conjures up an image of baby eaters. If a person can label themselves Christian, I see no reason why I cannot label myself an Atheist. Thanks for your inspiration.
Not all encompassing but I’ve never knowingly met a black atheist. My wife is Filipino, the same can be said for her and filipinos. I always think it sorrowful that the original inhabitants of the Philippines were killed if they couldn’t see the light. Now she is devout. It literally scares her to even question it at all, so I still go to the church with her. It really goes against my grain coughing up 20 bucks everytime we go. I just go for her. The things you do for the ones you care for!
Imagine someone being given a board that said “unapologetic white atheist”, an American Indian being given a board that said: “unapologetic red atheist”, or an Asian person given a board that said “unapologetic yellow atheist”, and people clapping (3:35-) when he or she received this award. Only goes to show how linguistically ignorant, we, Americans, presently are.
You may have had a good idea here except for the fact that this has nothing to do with linguistic ignorance. Many people identify proudly as "black" and "white." While I don't know if any who identify as "red" or "yellow" there might be. Referring to people in the way they WANT to be identified shows knowledge, respect, and wisdom. Not ignorance!
Feels good to see other black atheist, we're a minority of a minority.
Crazy ain’t it Fam? Salute my brother✊🏿

Same here, although being an atheist doesn't close my mind completely to being spiritual - as long as it's a rational, secular spirituality

First generation Black Atheist and line Atheist in my immediate family.
I think I'm the only one in my family that doesn't rock with religion. It's much more liberating to live in truth
She is very well-spoken and mature way beyond her years!!! She can be a great leader for the Atheist movement one day. I hope that comes to fruition.
This was great!!! My reason for being an atheist though is bc I don’t have any evidence that the supernatural is real. It all sounds crazy to me🤷🏽♀️
DITTO!
Same.
I like the way you think!! 👊🏿💯💥
I'm from Maryland too, it's so isolating. I'm trying to find other black female atheists rn

The Latino community has many of the same issues she mentions in her speech. She's very impressive.
Talk to em sister.....
Dump the superstition and embrace reality..
GREAT speaker! Listening to her speak gives me hope for the future.

Yaaasss sis 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
I've honestly never met a black atheist personally, not to say they don't exist but it's not something I have ever come across.
Not all encompassing but I’ve never knowingly met a black atheist. My wife is Filipino, the same can be said for her and filipinos. Speak what you believe. That is true freedom.
I am atheist and anti theist
As a non Christian l have experienced possible events that l simply cant explain are there entities that roam around.
Well I be damn, Hey cousin
❤
11:40 Christianity made the holocaust inevitable.
In the UK, she'd be known as an Unapologetic Atheist...
The recent backlash to this year’s Christmas adverts would suggest otherwise...
👏👏
Ex christian... definitely. Agnostic maybe, but definitely don't believe in a god or mythical book
Off topic, but has anyone ever blamed Jesus after not winning a grammy?

I think the point you made is evidence that you missed it.
Please, don't say "freedom from religion" but say just freedom. Maybe it better to say "freedom to be what we like to be"?
