1. Mankind has created many gods. In fact thousands of them. This is very strong empirical evidence that people are very good at creating gods.
2. People desire very strongly for there to be a god(s) because it gives comfort to their miserable little lives and they don't have to use any brainpower (if they have any) trying to understand the mysteries of the universe. They already "know" the answers: god did it.
3. Many previously unexplained phenomena had in the past been attributed to god(s), but have now been determined by science to be purely natural. So that is proof that man invokes gods to explain anything he does not understand (yet).

The problem is no one can justify God's existence without sounding ridiculous or like a preacher. One always ends up quoting the Bible which is the very element of contention. And that is the problem.

The question was where did god come from and how does influence the physical world as a spiritual being if there is zero evidence to support that physical and spiritual matter are capable of interacting. All Ken said I'd that god doesn't exist in our physical world and isn't influenced or limited by it's constraints. But that's part of the original question, how as a spiritual being is he capable of influencing a different plain of existence. Also god not being influenced by the space and time within this plane of existence doesn't mean he isn't bound by such things within his own plain. His computer analogy was also wrong.

While I can only imagine what it’s like to be in their environment, as an atheist myself I always feel like I have to be prepared for the questions people have for me once they find out I don’t believe. There’s inevitably someone that insists on changing my mind. Point is, eventually I was prepared and what was once an emotional subject became... boring.

Years back when I was a teenager I was at my church and my pastor had just got done praying over me . She then had announced that Jesus was there . I could feel him behind me . He was filling me up with pure love . I had even reached out to hold onto his hand . It was the best day of my life. I pray this speaks to you .

I have been curious as to how common atheism is in other parts of the world. There is a fundamental misunderstanding of what/who an Agnostic is....
Agnostism is about knowledge, Atheism is about Belief the two are not mutually exclusive.
If you are just an agnostic you are not in the middle ground between Theism and Atheism you are just not answering the question of belief(which is just a level of confidence on claim) which is fine.

Hello, I want to explain why I am not believing:
What is the boiling point of water ? If it is pure water under 1 atm atmosphere pressure, it is 100 degrees Celsius. You can repeat it 1000 times and you will find out that it is always the same result. But as soon as you change the atmospheric pressure, e.g. by doing the heating on mount Everest, you will find out it is boiling earlier, you can again repeat it and get the same results. By adding salt, you will find out that it is now boiling later. But under same conditions you will again get the same results. That's why it is possible to make measuring devices like a thermometer. Imagine you try to measure a temperature and you get different results under the same conditions; the measuring device would be useless.
So under same conditions you get the same results F(x), under different conditions or initial variables or parameters (x) you get different results.
Now to the problem, religions are promising two different results, heaven (F1) or hell (F2). What are the parameters for going to heaven (or hell), being good, having faith, being patient, being helpfull, being adequate intelligent (to have faith or not to have faith), live long enough to go to hell (babies go to heaven) etc.
So, if there are two results, the initial (given) parameters (or the resultant of them) cannot be the same. So if the initial parameters for heaven or hell are differntly distributed to people, can we speak about a fair god ? Do you believe in an unfair god ? I don't.

The major problem is that every religion considers themselves the true religion. But if one religion isn't true, then none of them are. Strictly by definition I would be considered an atheist, however I don't call myself that, I don't call myself anything. I do not believe in "God" and I am not an atheist. Humanity can in fact be ethical without being a part of an organised religion.

In every society, there is a group of religious people. I think it is one of the ways people try to find meaning in life and maintain their sanity. At the same time, atheist consider religion as something unnecessary in the society. Neither group should impose their ideology on the other. After all, everybody is free to choose what they consider right for them.
Just have to reconcile that sort of thinking. I think what is true is more important, and giving equal footing to those ideas is a bad idea.

I find the design system defense of God's existence null and void. If we are to argue that God exists simply because there must be a creator of the things we know to exist, then that means that God's very existence is also in question, someone or something must have created God, and that must be a bigger God than the one you claim to exist. If we adopt that argument, then we might never reconcile the superiority of God per se, as God would seem to be answerable to another power, one that brought him to existence.
Atheism is not a believe system it is just a lack of belief in God or any other gods.

For Ouma prayers is not a way to arm twist God. The Bible says whatever a man sows he will reap. if you sow laziness you reap failure. I remember i once got in a exam room and i knew i had not read enough, i just got candid with God and asked Him to remind me the little that i had read and give me clues in areas i was blank ndio nisikaukiwe. Beautiful interview. I'm an African American female and I identify as an Atheist. My paternal side was mostly secular and my maternal side was mostly Christians who were Christians on Sunday or when they felt the needed to be. In the African American community it is still taboo to come out as an Atheist but they are here and there are a lot of them. If I tell someone I am an Atheist they think I worship Satan. They are more shocked when I tell them Satan doesn't exist. My deconversion happened when I stepped in a college 20+ years ago to study Cultural Anthropology with emphasis on Religion and Spirituality. I had to study many beliefs. When I realized I couldn't believe in those beliefs I evaluated Christianity and Islam further. I realized I could not believe in any supernatural claims of any religion. After reading the Bible my non belief sealed. I could no longer believe in a Jewish savior God.
I grew up without going to church until I was 19. Sometimes I feel as if God doesn't exist or else he forgot that he created me.....a times I feel as if he/she does exist
