- Pushkarev was a prisoner in a Russian penal colony and was hired for the war against Ukraine by the Ministry of Defence of Russia. He tells about mental and physical abuse that he and his comrade mercenaries had to go through. One day he decided to escape and surrendered to the Ukrainian army. Now he tells other prisoners and all men in Russia - 'Don't go to this war. Nothing good awaits you here.'

To be fair, the man is obviously reading from a prepared statement. I highly doubt that what he told the interrogator was written in the statement verbatim. The interrogator is only going to write down the facts of the matter. This leads to them looking more matter of fact than they would if he was simply recounting what he did.
The same thing happens when making statements to the police. Anyone who has both given a statement and actually made sure to read it will be familiar with how this works.
Don't get me wrong though. This is not a defense of this mans actions or crimes. I am simply stating that this is what happens when you read from a prepared statement.
edit: If you want to see true callous evil watch the documentary Enemies of the People. It has candid interviews with Nuon Chea, Pol Pot's right hand man. It will chill you to the bone just how little he cared about what he did.

@@tiffanyshanley1419 You can watch his eyes move from his left to his right at many points in the video. This isn't to say that every last sentence was from a prepared statement. I think the latter half of the video has him elaborating on top of reading what was prepared. You can see it in the movement of his head as well. It is straight on to begin with, then later you can see far more movement.
edit: keep in mind that he isn't a politician who uses a teleprompter al day every day.

Wagner did something similar in Syria, where they would kill and dismember Syrian deserters
(He is likely embellishing the story somewhat since Wagner wouldn't waste medical supplies on a deserter)
Similar stories emerged in Japan in ww2. It's believable.

My father (rip) was a Royal Navy gunner in WW2
He was involved in the battle of the Atlantic against the U-Boats and also in the battle for Crete against the Luftwaffe and the Italians. .He never had a bad word to say about either of these armies.. However he was also on the Murmansk supply convoys to the Russians.. he had nothing but hatred for them .. They spent months getting supplies to the ungrateful bastards only to be held on ship at gunpoint. He Went through the Arctic seas for months at time for those ORCs not to even let them off ship... Fk all has changed.

This man's testimony will be heard in the Hague at Putin's/Russia's war crimes trial. I have seen some horrifying testimonies from the Russian POWs, but this is beyond horrifying, if that is possible. His karma made him choose a difficult life to be born into, but he is overcoming that and earning peace and balance.Thank you UATV again for your difficult work.
