gotta say, this is the first of your videos ive seen, and im a huge fan of the sheer energy you put into this video. subscribed based on the intro alone, just really want this kind of game making content in my life, can tell youre a pleasant guy who's just having a blast in his hobby
This is the first time I've seen one of your vids, but it would be nice of the color of the crystal coincided with the level of danger for each area
Or maybe a specific type of crystal for each boss including the rolly poly, but then a mix/match of the crystals at the worm boss to show it's all mechanics mixed together?
I thought the big guy looked somewhat familiar. Secrets of Grindea is great! Strongly recommend!

Love the head wiggle on the worm!
Looks great, but you really need to add some feedback to incoming damage on the player and outgoing damage on the enemies: maybe modulate their sprite to red or white for a split second, maybe add some particles.

Hey just a heads up but ( 2:00 ) I think there's a big difference between taking inspiration and using the original art someone else made and redrawing some parts of it to fit your game...
I take it you asked the grindea devs for permission (or so I'd hope) but you didn't really say so in your video so imho you should probably communicate better what you're doing with it or keep the concept and rework your art, because otherwise this is borderline plagiarism (if not outright).
Not trying to say this to be mean or throw shade, I know this kind of thing is somewhat hard to wrap your head around with the way the internet works (with the infinite content you can find seemingly for free), but I hope you understand why you should probably rework the art or ask the devs for permission, or if you did that already, communicate it better!!

Really good, my feedback is that telegraphed attack is a little stiff. Maybe you can get some inspiration from telegraphed attacks from other top down games like tree of savior and so on so forth.
Damn, the subscribers just keep on flowing in nowadays.
It look little bit weird, when to worm just moves towards you slowly (you can see that at 5:50), so I think it should not be able to move at all if it's stuck to the ground, I saw that you had some jumping sprites where the worm was in the air, so it should only be able to move with that jump attack, because it doesn't really make any sense that he just moves the hole he's in with him and it looks pretty weird.

Hi, I just tried the alpha on itch for a bit and it seemed pretty cool so far, but I had encountered a bit of an annoyance, basically there's a weird error or text thing in the top of my screen, and i dont know how to get rid of it or if its intentional, help would be very appreciated, btw nice devlog😅
Edit:the game magically fixed itself🎉
