But v8s do hold the world records for quarter mile passes on the drag strip

And they barely hold that record. This civic will spank 99% of v8s on the drag strip and probably 100% of them on circuit track as well as the street. Most v8s barely make 200-300 hp lmao and are heavy ass boats. Like 3500-5000 lbs cars usually. . Low rpm low acceleration. Lots of oversteer and body roll. Meanwhile my civic is 1100hp at 1500 lbs curb weight
