I’ve been doing drywall for 12 years and not once have I ever ran to go cut a sheet or carry two sheets at once .
joseph kelly im new to doing drywall. So no need to rush around ? I feel like I have been trying to and i keep making mistakes.
Ikr
Derek K I got a few months in drywall and I can tell that you’re seen this video because you feel pressure, man just chill and try to learn one thing every , just chill , and don’t try to rush things, soon or later we going to shine bruh
Psytrance Monterrey Mexico i like the sounds of that. 🤘🏻
Derek K I know what you mean . My way of thinking is I have to last the rest of my career in construction . Don’t want to be burned out .
U guys r awesome. Luv the wrk. Thx 4 all the great tips on drywall. Keep the vids comn. Hava good day.
Forget everything you just watched.
I’m 18 and the fact that I have 1 year in construction and see these types of videos makes me feel better in the sense that I can do what they do but of course, need more practice to be faster
Hi Antonio, yeah practice makes you better at everything! Its great what your doing, I'm going to do a little video with my best advice being a young person in construction. Let me know how everything is going!
First day on the job I see and those are the straightest 2x4 I’ve seen in a long time I didn’t think they make them like that anymore.
😂
Looks like a bunch of clowns running around with something to prove. Are we sure that's drywall dust on mates mustache? 😂
Motivation video right here thanks bro🙂 now I am ready to work like this
Go for it Cesar, !!!
Thanks!!!!!!
Great team
Crown molding yes I know that but depending how the weather is in any country, that to open
Hold on no dabbed walls? 😂 no sockets? Lol living the life!!!!
These guys running around like they have mad stock in the company or something
That's is exactly the case. Often payed in percentages... thanks Garrett
Here in the Netherlands I've never seen construction workers going so fast:)
That’s because majority of residential guys get paid by the sheets they hang not by the hour

In UK we have stand the board upwards. Around the doorways, why they wasting so much of the board by cutting out the 1/3 of it. Isn't it better to use the strip going over the doorway by 250 mm and just cut the smoll piece out? Also, those huge gaps on the ceiling around the perimeter, are the going to fill them in?
if it is the same as Canada it strengthens the wall by having the board lateral rather than horizontal. plus makes the plastering easier.
Learn so much thanks guys
You guys are fast in order to be fast you have be top of your game and to know what you doing
Thanks very much I'm glad you got some value out of it. Please subscribe
Maxkil already done it
Well you guys are tigers!) Respect!
Can I ask the glue u use to hold it on the wall while u screw it
What glue are you dabbing on the 2xs
I need a fail compilation from these guys
Good hustle boys!
This is obviously piece work, what is goin rate per sqft total there....labor and mat?
I got a question why do you leave the gap up top instead of the middle, is it a preference or an actual good reason
Gets a drywall cornice over the top.
Excelent work. I have read many comments over here but I cant find any related to why there is no isolation in this particular case, maybe.
Lol the comments are entertaining. You mean insulation?
yeahp, insulation*
at first i was thinking same as all about the gaps, but after knowing it gets molding, it make perfect sense, saves time on drywall and finishing that corner, this method is fast with the cordless makitas and everyone mostly working alone, i did notice the light faces, when you 2 side are you just marking the light plates for when ur done? here in texas the way the gaps on top wouldnt pass regulation code, bu its a nice video to watch.
Marshall, you said it spot on.. why doesn't other people think like you... It's actually a good way to do it. The molding is made from the same materials as well so it's not like a gap when it's done. The electrician has everything marked out , points and switches are always at a standard height. They also don't have the box around them... So yeah...There's a few differences but faster in every way.... Once again thanks for coming on.!!
That's what I was thinking.
Still do it right.
@@Maxkil and 240 volts, which is different to Texas
Ive been looking for the cornice you guys use down there, and cant seem to find it in north america. Must be nice not having to tape lid angles . Good work!

Great job guys! Talk about your tools please
willl do in the future... oh wait it is the future
amazing building saving timber .
Give me a job. I'll be the glue dabber. I never liked seeing help run like that because of tripping etc but if you're the only ones there it's all good. I'm impressed.
yeah nobody else there and only our things on the ground
I like the blocking in the walls 24” oc is perfectly fine. Probably not getting 60 mph winds and -50f below like we get here in the midwest!
No snow there. Australian houses are underbuilt but do just fine.
Is there any particular reason why they prefer hand saws as opposed to a spiral cut out too? They make cordless ones now.
David Balderston in most of these jobs, hand saw is faster than drywall cutter, handy, cheaper and no maintenance needed
Hi David.
Yeah like Adam said, we also don't have too much to cut out like electrical boxes and lights like you do in the states.
That had occurred to me after I asked this.
Won't knick a wire with a meat saw
These fellers are bad ass! I'm seeing nothing but quality with quantity and they're both on the higher scale.
where are you guys in such a hurry? boss is chasing you? 😅😀
hehe, home time once the whole house is done and everyone earns a stake in the meters installed
Does the blue glue dabs replace screws or do you use both? I don’t think we have anything like it in the UK.
Cameron loggenberg screws r more likely for temperate fixing to allow the glue cure.
Cameron loggenberg I am also wondering because I have not seen such a solution in Central Europe. In Poland, everything is bolted rigidly. Both on the circumference and in the middle. Nobody uses glue. And of course, 90% of the structure is steel. No one uses wood. I wonder what is the advantage of such a solution? I am a supporter of wooden structures myself.
Matt Diamond apparently, any method we use in actual work is a result of COST!
Australia maybe has the most expensive labor price than any other countries. So glue is better than screws than nails.
Besides,we do only use screws in some special circumstances. One typical case is fire rated plasterboard wall. No glue, only screws at about 200mm span.Anthother case is wet area plasterboard,if you going to cover the plasterboard with heavy wall tiles, you definitely need to do more screws, while the glue seems to be not so necessary.
honestly,I think glue is more important than screws as it has larger contact area than screws. And when screw goes entirely through the face paper,it almost holding nothing……this is based on my years experience of
demolishing.
Adam Guo I understand the principle of glue. Similar to woodwork where the nails and pins usually hold the pieces together while the glue is curing.
Just interested to know how good it is because some of the videos where old drywall has been taken off show a clean area where the glue was as if it wasn’t hard to come off.
Yeah that's a good point Adam, in the states I think everything needs to be fire rated. So hence no glue ever...
Your right....Maybe that's why....
I like that glue mothed less tape and float
Hi, you work fast, respect, what kind of blue mix you put on the stand? Thank you)
glue
Usually Boral or Gyprock stud adhesive
sorry Roman just saw this comment, its called stud adhesive my friend
@@WogChilli thanks
@@Maxkil no worries bro, hey how do you go sheeting into old hardwood? Do you snap many plasterboard screws on hardwood frame? Any tips?
I do all that work finishing and drywall, but I don leave does big gaps all around the corners ceiling
That's to open.
thats for molding, it wont require any taping or mud
What’s up with the ceiling gaps?
The gap between the wall and the ceiling...they don’t meet together why??
I’m in the pnw Pacific Northwest!
Everything is tight together. Completely touching!!!!
Whats your reason for this gap?
I think it’s something to do with crown moulding and air conditioning down in Australia?! That would never pass around our ends of the world lol. We always start ceiling, partition/external walls then inner walls. Can’t afford any gaps what so ever ideally
It’ll be corniced no need for square set finish
Ever had the blade jump on the square and cut you how you were cutting in the beginning? Those blades can easily jump on them t squares and cut right into a finger
like how they slice one side and just snap it, tearing the hell out of the backing
No I doesn't tear the back
i wish the drywall guys i have to work around were this fast
Dylan Hamer well what kind of guys did u have,no ofends but her in us the best guys for drywall are mexican, each guy can hang around 60 sheets at day
Depends on there wages. By sheet or hourly. Watch them go when its by the sheet. Shit I hung 62 including ceilings. People change when it fluctuates whats going in there pockets.
Noob question, but what goes in between the drywalls, do they fill it with insulation? And what goes on the outside, just paint? How do they hide the nails?
They tape and mud over the nails and for the s pace they insulate
What glue are these guys using?
Wat with the big gap between ceiling and walls see daylight thought them ?
crown molding
What is the blue paint applied to the wooden columns?
Glue or "glue nails"
"Liquid nails"
Love to know the brand of drywall glue you're using...
I saw Gyprock somewhere on the back
@@sverduijn1 csr
I've been doing drywall for like 4 years and trust me it's more efficient to be fast than slow cause in nzd pay is based on meters per person
What glue are you using on the studs?
So what is the glue?????
yea did see them cut one eletrical box ? maybe sparky has a map and cutin later
Yeah that's it mate here certainly does
Even if it gets crown molding you might want to have an air stop. That is unacceptable by anyone's standard. also they have the 300 dollar makita cordless screw guns but are too cheap to buy a router?
Uhg. Put the walls tight to to the ceiling
or keyhole saw??? Idk it’s weird to see a saw that big, for 1/2” it has to be 1/2” aint no waaaay that’s 5/8”
You guys don't have wall boxes for electrical outlets and stuff? The wires are just exposed in the wall?
that's right, our fire regulations different to everywhere else
Where is this? Not California (Earthquake Central). An earthquake will pop that drywall right out. The glue only sticks to the paper. We have to use nails or screws in the field. The wood studs don’t appear to be 16” apart, there is a huge gap in the corners where the ceiling and wall meet. The drywall on the walls help hold up the drywall on the ceiling corner. How do you mud and tape that big gap? Curious to know what City, State, Country this is in, anyone?
The glue doesn't just stick to the paper, pretty sure they tested it bud.
Pretty sure we noticed the gap between the walls and ceilings as well.
There is a plaster molding going there.
Maxkil,
Pretty sure is not absolutely sure. The glue only sticks to the drywall paper and the wood for a short time. Wood moves over time and with change in temperature. Metal studs don’t hold glue either. The glue loosens up every time. When you demo an existing house ever wonder why it’s so easy to remove drywall bud?
@@bdog0720 I thought it was quite difficult to remove the board from the glue
We drywall and tape lots of RTMs, (Ready to move) homes. After arriving at the destination the house has experienced many hard bumps, jolts, shaking along rural gravel roads with potholes and washboarding.
We have to revisit the houses to fix cracks and screw pops, after switching to adhesive in field we have much less issues.
Adhesive may not penetrate like a screw, but it holds over a large surface area, vs screw holds only with its 1/4" lip and threading.
How much you lot get a sheet on price
Whats the blue shmoo on the studs for?
It's a glue holds it to the stud. Not suitable in fire wall application hence why it's not done in USA.
Called stud adhesive
I use the glue here in USA. It really helps for screw pop...
Nice song.
Can't imagine my self working without a gloves
Why are there not any electrical boxes installed?
This is in Australia and I guess they use surface mount boxes for both switches and plugs ! Wires are in the wall and the electricians just need to pop a small hole in the wall and fish out the wires ! According to their codes .
Essa massa que vocês passam na madeira para que finalidade?

@Maxkil how loud is drywalling? could someone with sensitive ears make a career out of it?
Jajajaja come to California and we showed you guys how to put 100 sheets in 1 day with only 2 guys
What thickness is the board?
10mm
Weird system but if it works it works
That makita makes it look too easy. Why don't you guys use rotozip for cutting doors and windows?
Yeah they do use them now. Pretty quick
How long are those drywall sheets. 16 ft?
Hey mate. 18ft sheets are the longest they come in.
Only 10mm thick though
Maxkil shoot. Here in nyc. Our typical sheets are 8x4
Y is there a gap in the ceilings to the wall
For cornice. Not a square set job.
Why don't the sheets fit to the ceiling?
why they are running at the job site???
Paid per metre not by hour. No hourly rate workers makes people work harder
Because they hang from the bottom up?
Your codes are deff different their. Board here needs to be tight. Even if it does get crown molding. And it has to be taped. Need a one hour fire code rating.
Where the pink cotton candy? Or the pink panther? The pink itchy pillows?
Idk how they make walls done without putting insolation inside the walls its something unusual and not profesional unless the home owner want to save money😂
most of the cheap volume builders dont put insulation in if they dont have to. its crazy, but its how they get their prices down so low.
Why is there always a gap between the ceilings and walls
I will like to see them 20 years later:))))
You should subscribe then
Well said. 🤣😂
Probably still going and even more efficient
iv been doing this 20 years at thr speed they are working and yeh..my joints are shagged lol
Hi, I was just wondering why there are empty spaces on top where the ceiling sheet meets the wall
Crown molding going up there
Why do you guys start from the bottom though
Because normally we have cornice going up and doesn't need to be tight at the top in most cases. It's easy for sure
А чем они промазывают дерево перед регипсом?
How damn long are those sheets?
18ft bro
@@Maxkil Damn they be some long as sheets.
No insulation ?
Just glad I'm not the taper who has to fix their sloppy work lol

6m boards in Australia.

No Insulation ?
Henry Bauza probably one siding
How is there no dust lol
How long can they last mentally? Working just like that is totally insane...it's impossible working in this way every day for 8 hours... in the long run your mind and your body will ask for the bill ...
I will let you know when they stop. Once in routine your body gets used to it and doesn't seem that hard
Ever run a production cnc lathe? Done it for 5 years. I hate it
Ahaha ever heard of measuring up screw running back and forth all day like that just measure the whole house up
Lol wtf? Clearly have no idea what your talking about.
irrelevant if youre working commercial no body uses half inch board and no company would allow for those ten inch gaps in the ceiling lol
Luis Munoz crown moulding genius.
can i work with you
come to Hawaii and we will show you faster hangers with 5/8x12'🤙🏽
aloha will come to hawaii when restrictions lifted
Where is the insulation on the wall?
Rajat Chhantyal domestic jobs here internal walls are not required for insulation except the wall of garage. But I do insulation for all bathrooms for all of my jobs in Victoria……
damn some of those boards were super crooked. leaving 2 inch slanted gaps at the ceiling angle
yeah getting cornice
@@Maxkil yeah but if anyone wants to take the cornice down they will have a huge gap to fill if they just want flat corners
It's very difficult to get down as you will see in my other videos. People rarely change that. It's in nearly every house
Why are there gaps everywhere is my question!!
Why not? Two sheets stacked like that 10mm off the ground leaves that gap. Here in Australia it doesn't need to be tight to stop the spread of fire and smoke . It gets covered by a plaster crown molding. Much faster
°-° all them gaps though .... I work in the beautiful city of Austin, Tx and that would have gotten me fired first day. Those gaps look like they have 1.5 inches .... Everything else is okay.. they are using glue instead of extra screws. But where is insolation and electrical? Can someone explain plz?
Nice, I've seen pics of Austin, definitely a place I want to visit....so Don't know why no insulation on walls, but ceiling gets done after... The gap at the top gets covered with a gypsum crown molding coming out and down 90mm.
Electrical is there but still in walls , there are electrical plates / brackets on them all and the electrician has it all mapped out.
stupido
why not get a router though?
Too much dust
速度有这么快吗???严重怀疑澳洲装修
Get a router and you won’t have to go run to cut a sheet lol. Put them saws up
The running back and forth and working frantically like that is kind of ridiculous. And screwing off is a lot easier when you have those auto feed collared screws
Big Conner gaps
no electrical boxes. fire hazzard
Yea not bad lads we should race one day #QLD
That'd be cool..Where you from?
@@Maxkil Toowoomba Qld we do a house a day 1000 metres + Il try sort out a video send to you somehow
Tell me which day and I will come out and film you guys for the day... Would be fun. Always like seeing different crews
Yea too easy were you lads from
From Brisbane as well
Lame the stack was outside. But I liked the two sheets at one time.
drywallers are killing it but i would have to say the framing is odd. looks like two feet on center for the studs.. not much for sturdiness there.
it doesnt hold anything except the drywall though. the ceiling spans outside wall to outside wall with trusses. so its basically just partition walls like an office. This will be in one of the new estates, and is the cheapest of the cheap volume house here in australia, but its good for 20 or so years before it needs a serious overhaul.
That's a great reply, you explained it much better than I could. Thanks again!!!!
This place has no electrical?
John C right. I was wondering. Why am I not seeing them cut any light switches or outlets out?
Electricians has em all maped out most likely. Fucking paradise if you ask me
You don't see the cable that's in the walls?... in Australia we don't have electrical boxes for our power points, nor our light switches or even our lights for that matter.

This is more production style. I cringed when he hit that screw with the hammer. Not gnna lie.
Just a little knock, sinks the screw perfectly wont bother the taper
@@quentinrichard738 Yeah I get it, I mean we've all done it. It's tough bc you have to get a regular screw to sink it or back it out. I usually leave them until I inspect before tape and mud
I would have fired him. We're using screw guns for a reason. Those damn hammer strikes destroy the drywall, and the dimple left behind is a potential problem down the road when that connection starts to turn lose. Don't use hammers on drywall!
Yeah same I just go back before tape with a drill.
