Kamut Flour Tortillas are hands down the best Alkaline Vegan Tortillas you can make. These tortillas blew my socks off! I used white kamut flour. White kamut flour tastes very similar to all purpose flour. After tasting kamut flour tortillas, I don't recommend making alkaline vegan torillas using regular kamut or spelt flour. White spelt flour tortillas taste good as well, but not as good as white kamut flour tortillas.

Maaaaann….🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉…I’ve been scouring CZcams for the perfect Alkaline Bread/Tortilla for months and I haven’t seen one and in the Trials of finding a few I have made those versions and they never EVER came out right EVER. It’s hard to find the type of flour and keep it Alkaline and especially have Great taste to it at least to enjoy. I made that Fried Rice recipe you did 2WICE and obviously if I made it 2WICE (Back to Back I might add 😅) then it was definitely on point 🙌🏿. I most definitely know from the look of this that I have FINALLY FOUND A BREAD THAT I CAN ENJOY FINALLY THANKS TO YOU! It kinda reminds me of making BAKE when you Rolled the dough and tucked it up under keeping the round part of the dough at the top while tucking under ..but BAKE is done the other way like that …if what I typed wasn’t confusing 🤔💆🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️. Anyways 😅…I’ll be buying this Flour and trying this next weekend I can’t wait. This tortilla is by far the best Alkaline Vegan tortilla I've made/eaten so far. It tastes a lot like regular flour tortilla and it's so easy to make. I hope you get to make and enjoy it. You won't miss the original flour tortilla once you taste this version. Oh yes, I know what a Caribbean Bake is. It's very delicious 😋
I'm still working on an Alkaline Vegan plain white bread loaf recipe. Alkaline approved ingredients are just too few and there are no viable substitutes out there for making bread. We can't use chia seeds lol. We'll see how it goes, but a light bread loaf may not be possible. It almost always ends up very dense... unless you add some baking soda, which most Alkaline Vegans don't use. In the mean time, enjoy this recipe. Let me know how it goes if you do make it. I used spelled flour and traded my avocado oil for olive oil I did use my seamoss and I added just a little bit of seasoning towards the end in my dough to make my tortillas came out great thank you chef

This is one of the most delicious flour tortillas I've ever eaten. Not because I made them. White Kamut (not regular Kamut) flour is amazing! It tastes so good. You'll be shocked.

Try einkorn flour too it has never been hybridized. It's low in gluten so it might tear. I add spelt and they are good

I use it when making ice cream, hot Cacao (in place of hot chocolate) and in my smoothies to change up my routine from time to time. So disappointed as I thought it was approved 😭

Okra gel. Chop the okra into bite sized pieces. Add water based on the amount of gel u need, boil, then strain it.t should be a snot like consistency

You can skip the sea moss. It will come out just fine. It may not be as flexible, but it still will taste great. Just don't use cold water or cold aquafaba.

Hi Shae, I tried freezing them and they held up well. They were very brittle though, so you'll need to handle them with care before reheating.

Skip the sea moss if you don't have it. Use warm water. It will yield a slightly different texture, but it's equally as delicious.

No, you don't need yeast to make tortillas. It's more of a binder. You can also make your tortillas without it.
