you should try blackened cat fish tacos, one of my new favorites
I like to use the air fryer on my fish after trying it one time! I use W sauce as a binder then just throw my favorite seasonings on it, and do 350 in the air fryer for 4 minutes then flip it, put a little butter on it and then 3 minutes at 350, it’s almost like a cross between blackened and fried fish! It’s honestly incredible and less to clean up than frying it

Catfish- clean it, wash it off, put filets in bowl of milk, get a bag fill with flour, salt + pepper, old bay, then put filets in and shake it like crazy while fryer is heating up, crisp it up and eat.
Also blue crabs- ive only seen one popular person do it similar, and ive had it all ways and nothing compares to what i learned from my dad. Heres what u do-
Get ur blue crabs alive, put in freezer. Then set up outside a table, a water hose, a trash bin, a cooking pot, pair of gloves, old bay, and a butter knife or two. Then grab the frozen crabs, one person rips the backs off, quickly, next person takes the crab and scrapes the lungs and privates off, next person takes the hose and sprays the organs out and layers them into the pot, each layer gets a coat of old bay. For the pot, needs to be tall enough for the amount ur cooking, add about 2 inches of water to the bottom and some type of steel tray to lift the crabs off that water. Steam them on a fire or whatever propane fire something . Time is depending on temp, a slow 30-45 min cook is best. Now while it cooks, you setup the table, grab some old newspapers and lay it across the table, napkins, drinks, melted butter or preferred dip/sauce, butter knives, more dipping old bay, and a tray to collect 5-10 crabs at a time while the rest stay on low heat to keep toasty. The shells can just be dropped on the table, when done just fold the newspapers and throw away.
Growing up, 5-10 times a summer we would eat crabs, its not an all day thing but its nothing quick. Spend hours sitting there picking every last bit of meat. Well worth the cleaning process instead of just throwing them in to cook, just to taste horrible in comparison. Idc who you are if u like steamed blue crabs alive, u will love the way i just detailed. U would not go back to not cleaning them. And its not even “cleaning” its just preparing to eat them with ease and satisfaction and not being lazy. This will prolly go unnoticed. Regardless it would be cool to see this style get popular. After trying it multiple times the typical way like restaurants, idk how yall do it. Theres so much fish taste and no good flavor. Peel them suckers open before cooking and season like you do any other meat. Watch the taste buds fall in love with what they just ate. Promise it, if u like blue crabs at all, then there is ur best style. Random i know but came to my mind. Nice vid tho

Day 97 of asking for a flair catch clean and cookbook shewwwwww
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 teaspoons lemon juice
1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
1/3 cup finely chopped pecans
2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
1 tablespoon dry bread crumbs
1 tablespoon dried parsley flakes
4 catfish fillets (6 ounces each do this Cajun pecan catfish it’s delicious
I love the mini mite usage. That’s like the only lure me and my pops use when we fish for bluegills. Besides worms that is the best lure.
Mini mites are amazing! Very underrated. You can catch everything with them. I have even caught big catfish and Northern pike on them.

A tip to remember when you're catfishing. If you ever get stuck by a catfish, take the slime coating from around the catfish and rub over the puncture area. It will keep the pain subdued at least until you can get some ointments to help ease the pain and reduce infection.

Blackened catfish tacos are one one my personal favorites
I make Tartar Sauce sometimes and it’s super easy it’s just chopped up pickles in mayo with a little bit of mustard and if you wanna go fancy go half mayo half plain yogurt.
Favorite catfish recipe. Use skinning pliers to pull the skin off the fish were you typically make your cut for a fillet go ahead and cleave clean through the fish, kosher the fish with salt lemon pepper cayenne pepper and some lemon juice and honey, let sit for 2-48 hours, smoke with mesquite, enjoy or, pull the meat from the bone on a hot cast iron, onions first till translucent, add beef base, put in fish meat and taco seasoning, Whatever you do to tacos, do that but use peach and or mango salsa. It’s straight candy boys, straight candy.
I shoulda mentioned the lemon and lime juice. High citric is good in this, even pineapple.
@FLAIR. Catfish Alfredo is good. Why have you not used the grinder to make fish patties with some egg and potato? Grind or blend those up and you can deep fry or pan fry patties. I make fish to taste it but for you guys that like lots of flavor I would add seasoning of choice. If you make the Alfredo make sure you dunk in some buttered Italian herb and garlic bread.
Final suggestion...catfish cacciatore w/kidney beans, deep fried cheese curds and rice. You're welcome ;)

A really good catfish recipe is catfish cakes. It's where you take a cup ground/mushed/chopped catfish and a cup mashed potatoes, just make sure the mashed potato to catfish mixture is even, pop an egg in there for every 2 cups of fish and potato, add seasoning how desired, and then make them into patties and pan fry them in butter. Sometimes just some plain old salt and pepper is good on them but Dux all meat would be good on it like always
