    I found the perfect solution to reassemble the motor, use 2 rubberbands to hold the magnets in place while closing the cover. Then cut the rubberband and slide it out. much better than fighting with messy tape. I was able to close it in less than 5 minutes.

    For anyone that wants to know how to reassemble. If you wrap tape around the bare wires and pull down on it and stick it to the outside of the case, you can then drop it into the brushes, then pull or cut the tape, and it does seem easier to drop the barring in first.

    How did you removed the gear on this motor?

    How the heck do you put it back together? That's what I need to know.

    2018 and I rebuilt this motor a few months ago. If anyone wonders how to keep the brushes back: Painters tape. One per brush. Put the body in, then pull the tape out.

      Luis Lopez this particular motor is sealed with no holes to access the tape. I did think about drilling big holes on the back cover for air flow and access to the brushes. Thoughts?

      @LuisLopez2 Před 5 lety +4

      No need for holes...There is enough of a gap when you put the cap part on (the side holding the brushes) that you can pull them out before bolting it. Maybe I'll make a video showing what I mean. I have done 3 times already.

    Can you replace the brushes

    • @mjbop1
      @mjbop1  Před 4 lety +1

      Jason Sechrist I would think you could solder in a new set. The trick would be finding the right size.

    Hey sir. Can you tell me if can put a third battery on my scooter? So it becomes 36 volts? Does the motor take that much volt?? Please tell if you know. I have a spare battery i want to connect. I need more power. I have to give speed with my foot. And thats boring.. Old scooter. Are they like that when they are new also? Ore are they powerfull enough so i should not need to kick??

      You can add a more powerful motor as I did to my 24 v 450 w motor. I kept my 2 batteries but added a 500 w motor got more power BUT my mistake was buying a 10 ah batteries instead of a higher ah to give me more distance , more power due to motor but not distance since it'll take more energy, so I lose distance, My next batteries will be a 12 or more AH. 3 batteries can be placed with the 500 w . This what I have learn in electric, 12 v x 24 = 288 w . a 500 w would be 12 x 36= 432 so is not above the watts of the motor. This way the electrical volts will not burn the motor by staying below the wattage of the motor. I f kept on these lines, you'll be ok

      @@ccccen How do you think lipo batteries with high discharge will work? I see China has alot of motor for good prices. I want it to spinn when i give trotthle. I managed it with normal 200w motor and 48 volt. But the powermodule i have not figured out. I have seen some else on China marked. I have a 200w controller. Takes 48volt. I tried to solder bypass on the original. But it only lasted few meters. And i had to kick up speed before it could give trotthle. EU stupid rules that makes it so. Cant get motor to work here before i have kicked it up in speed. Even outboard motors like mercury 20hk, is taken down to 10hk. So i cut a piece away and get 15hk. But need new carberator to get 20hk. But it is a trick so we can buy big motors for cheaper money. We pay tax each hk and for polluding and more. EU. And we voted no! Still we have to show our cars every year for EU inspection.

      @@tykenminatorE.U. have dumb rules. From what I see you more volts than motor. 48 v can power a 1000 w motor nicely. like I have a 34v and a 500 motor in which I will have more speed but less riding time due to the AH on the batteries a 10 ah, if I want more riding time I'll will get a higher AH on my next batteries to get more riding time. 48x12=576 you're pushing too many volts to such a little motor in which can burn it out, in such a case you might need to change your controller at throttle or at controller box . At 48v you come out nice with a 100 w motor.

      I know it was to much. I dident have motor. I am trying to make som that is emp safe to ride in case of worst case scenario. Do you know the electronics on a Kawasaki KXF 450 F.i. Is the CDI box all that needs protecting? They are very much like Hondas bikes.

    For the life of me, why dont they make access holes for the brushes like some powertools? Makes no sense to me. Chinese motors, Chinese serivicing, chuckit buy a new one.
