Being one of the 2 directors (the Cavity Goon, James Murray was the other), was like being able to go to work - "play" - with some of the most fun, energetic people I've ever had the joy to create with. The stage which held "Flossmore Valley" was our sandbox and together we loved every week as we brought Timmy and his friends to life. Our goal was to be entertaining (my montra: "You can't teach somebody who isn't in the room: With T.V., if it's not fun or interesting, that "leaving the room" is just a remote click away.) and also personal, especially where it concerned our young viewers and what might have been challenges and victories in their lives. In my 45 years as a DGA director, this series is one of my very favorites.
Timmy the Tooth sounds like a member of the mafia.
Best way to celebrate someone's birthday is gaslight them
The genuine excitement in his voice when he said "There's stickers in here" was amazing
I can't believe I'm genuinely laughing at a bit from Timmy the Tooth.
Mustache Man ditches reading for anthropomorphic talking tooth.
I’m so glad Timmy the tooth doesn’t have any teeth of his own. The idea of my teeth having teeth fills me with existential dread.
Timmy's delivery of "remembered he forgot" explains SO MUCH of your comedic delivery and timing, it's crazy
Who remembers when you forgot to rewind the VHS, so you had to take like 7 minutes for the movie to rewind before you could watch it
“I bought the vhs tapes, and he converted them to the computer”
I cant believe NBC tried to stop you from talking about dental hygiene
His reaction when he says 'there's stickers in here' might be the purest cute I've ever seen :p 💜
i used to watch these vhs tapes when i was sick so i genuinely thought they were a fever dream until my grandma gave me all the vhs tapes when we moved and i found the collection
Man, Eddy’s really committed to this “tony exists” bit huh
Listen at least Timmy doesn't actually have teeth.
To think I could have died without ever learning that Timmy The Tooth ever existed...
I literally have not thought about Timmy the Tooth in 25 years. You've unlocked a long sealed off core memory. Neurons in my brain are freaking out right now.
I never could stand that trope in children's television (believe or not, it is a trope, there are a lot of old children's tv shows that have done this trope in at least one episode), where everyone is a dick and ignores the main character so they can build up the hype of the surprise party when it is revealed. Especially when they way too often play it off like the main character is in the wrong for being upset that everyone forgot his birthday. Like what a terrible message for kids.
"unironically i loved this show when i was 4 or 5" i cant imagine a toddler ever doing something ironically...
I love when he says, " there are stickers inside!" because everyone would do the same
