Well, it's kind of mind blowwing to think about it, but it's because of the millions of people that have eyes on it. People that are smart enough and creative enough to figure it out, not only do they have eyes on it, but they're guided to social media networks of people on the other side of the world with the same smarts and interest in the same thing. Something like this at a college campus would never get solved, but I think we underestimate just how powerful and crazy the internet's ability to connect like-minded people that would've never met or know eachother before.
As a kid in high school in 1999, I had the net, but finding new people wasn't really as easy as it is wth todays programs, so most of my friends were a lot different than I was. These days, I have friends around my city that are people I would've never met without the internet, bands I would've never had, game mods I would have never made.
Unfortunately, this means it also brings shitty people together to collectivize their effort and be louder and even shittier. lol

The original FF06B5 mystery was an in-joke by the development team. They had to crunch out the game for initial release while there was many features still missing, one of the developer tasks was to fix all the objects with missing textures - those objects had a HEX color of FF06B5 which is magenta (used in game development to make unfinished objects easy to find). So as a joke, the developers put in a tongue and cheek statue that was a shrine to these magenta objects. This was solved years ago but got buried because people didn't accept such a simple answer, and the new answers for the FF06B5 mystery were added later as part of the update with the new DLC.

One connection to both games is in a cutscene in the Witcher 3 while talking to geralt, Ciri says that she traveled to a land where people had metal in their heads and that geralt wouldn't believe it even if he was there. Unknown about the world until cyberpunk 2077 finally came out and we all realized that what ciri was talking about was Night City and that she did travel either into the future or different dimensions. Which would explain why so many items in cyberpunk are witcher themed (aside from the GLARING fact that they both are CDPR games!) Ciri travels to many worlds but this subtle hint when the witcher game came out was a obvious tie in to CDPR's future installment many years later. This comment probably won't be seen by the creator but I wanted to voice my thoughts and my own deep dive into CDPR and their love for puzzles and having fun with their fans.

I'm really confident this isn't actually the end of the FF06B5 mystery. It was supposed to be solvable in the base game, which means that the extra chapter added in the Phantom Liberty update is there partly as a new puzzle for people to get into, and partly to provide clues to the original puzzle. My personal opinion is that it's all pointing to something to unlock in the 'Devil' ending of the game. There are constant references to 'the end' in the new files. The 'War Games' reference could be pointing to the missile war Yorinobu starts during 'Totalimmortal'. The 'event' even shows a big cube, very likely a reference to the puzzle cube V is given during the 'Where is my Mind?' epilogue. There's clearly something up with that whole episode, with the seemingly pointless choices, visual glitches, the weird, unexplained jump scare and the fact it's the only epilogue which has multiple endings of its own. My bet is that there's a secret way to complete 'Where is My Mind' hinted at in the lore dump from the new puzzle.

That constant being variable is meant to show you a slight variance in which universe you're in, or basically the change would theoretically mean you were finding yourself in a completely different reality if you were given a different number when checking it. It's implying that instead of our world, the games are alternate realities. Very interesting really.
All the games existing as games in each other's worlds combined with all this stuff is basically CDPR saying that their games are alternate realities, not really just games. Polyhistor is jumping into our world, or another world, that's playing cyberpunk. Ciri jumped here and apparently so did yennifer so...well... It all ties together.

There is also non-cannonical ending to Witcher book saga in collection of various stories (written by Andrew Spakowski) that could be translated to 'Something ends, something begins' and it is suspiciously similar to the 6 sentence of that message from FF06B5 ending: 'One thing ends, another begins'. One of the novels there describing an alternative ending to Witcher Saga which is Geralt's and Yennefer wedding and involves all of the major characters from the series. It's a longshot at best, but since Ciri can travel between worlds, maybe she is the author of that message from the FF06B5 ending?

The statues are clearly meant to be depictions of the in-game Shinto deity of chrome, night, and electricity, known as Denya-jinja. The in-game "Chram Denya Jinja" website talks about a shrine dedicated to this particular kami.
However, fans just wanted there to be something more to it than something so mundane and obvious.

As it stands, it seems like an AI finding its sentience and realizing it's in a video game. That is why the oriboros is the image and how the cube could say all the different starting messages. The AI realizes it can travel different dimensions ( all CDPR games ) like the characters in the witchers can and hops around leaving more clues for the other AIs trying to find meaning. Polyhister gets "awoken" and sees the player of the game (us) and accidentally travels to the witcher while trying to clarify what he is seeing and either falls off the tower, or kills himself to start the cycle again to maybe return to 2047. What we are seeing in these message is an AI realizing it's in a game and leaving hints for others to awaken. It seems odd to us because we are the ones playing the game it lives in. We are the watchers. The statues could be of the original AI constantly restarting and leaving their mark for each different life they have lived. Hence why they are different sizes and different places.

The final message from the qr code kind of says it all. I suspect that the FF code "mystery" was just meant originally to be a minor easter egg in plain sight. However, because fans were so eager for it to be a deeper mystery and kept hounding CPR regarding the mystery, they decided to actually add a mystery to the game for people to solve. The final message as it reads is basically saying as much.
Let's break down the final message. "You've been looking long enough. You can stop now. It's over...or is it? No, really-it is." These seeming statements aren't random.
"One thing ends another begins, Except nothing is beginning or ending-that's just your gonk mammal brain trying to make sense of your world."
This is a statement to the nature of video games, starting restarting, and you as the player, trying to make sense of the game world.
"To create order, To control. To delay the inevitable realization you're nothing. We're nothing."
This is again referencing playing video games, when you play the game you create order through your act of playing the game, you control the character, you become engrossed by the fictionaal world to escape your own reality. In a grander sense, people who seek out these mysteries in games, while fun, do so to extend that game beyond its real limits.
"Mathematics, physics, chemistry...in the grand scheme of things tools to acquire power." In a sense, this is correct, video games like CP2077 give control over players to the game's creators, through mathematics, game physics, and a very vague sense "chemistry".
"hardly more advanced than the first rock we grabbed to bash each other's skulls". This is an interesting statement, in a weird sense this is referencing the countless number of players who were "bashing their skulls" against the wall/keyboard/desk trying to solve the mystery. In another it's a statement over violence, is there really much difference in the mentality needed to play CP2077, killing the myriad of enemies with virtual weapons, and IRL violence? No.
But the most interesting line in all of this is as follows: "And for all you seeker's and fools finding patterns where there are none, creating order out of chaos, here's a little secret for you-this isn't the first time we've met and it won't be the last."
This statement is very clear, the FF code was likely nothing more than something the game designers put in the game to mess with people and never intended it to be more than that. However, people found "patterns where there are none", trying to rationalize the code into being something more than it was intended to be. Furthermore, the game designers are hinting that such codes and seemingly esoteric fair will continue to pop up in their games.

At one point she actually travels to the future, that future being our time/world, where she ends up in a landfill and is disgusted by what she sees. So the second mystery could be the devs linking Cyberpunk to be canonical to the Witcher universe. Just way in the future.
There's actually a line of dialogue in W3 where she's telling Geralt about the worlds she's visited and in one of them "people had metal in their heads, they used megascope like devices to wage war from a distance and everyone had a personal flying ship" which sounds a lot like Cyberpunk.

One mystery that has been forgotten is where can a certain Ashen Haired Girl be found in Cyberpunk 2077?

I think The Watchers are the developers. The QR code note from the cube is by the developers and meant for V, not necessarily the players. Polyhistors clothes was on the floor and seemed like he was…deleted because he was just that…deleted. The developers simply clicked delete on his character (or transferred to The Witcher 3).

For the FF06B5 mystery, I'd suggest checking out the philosopher Alan Watts. If what was laid here is the mystery solved in its entirety, listening to some Alan Watts can shed light on what CP2077 was trying to do here. Namely, the master and the student, and the master trying to get the student to realize a certain thing...

That’s Zen Buddhism in a nutshell.
Only I shouldn’t have told you outright. I should have asked thought provoking questions until you realised it yourself.

@@TwoLeftThumbs Yeah, I already knew it was Zen Buddhism. But I think I might be understanding your comment not totally correctly.

@@ShogunOrta I was just saying that a Zen Master wouldn’t tell you something directly. They’d tell you a koan that would hint at the solution and let you work it out.
It was just a little joke.
