Calling the thermal katana "Errata" is so good. For those who don't know, the term "errata" is used for information appened to a written work after publishing to correct mistakes or re-include missing information. It's not uncommon for TTRPG's to end up receiving errata pages after publishing, especially back in the day. The original Cyberpunk 2020 has a few errata pages for some of it's sourcebooks, for example. So not only does "Errata" work as a cool unique name, it's also CDPR's way of acknowledging the weapon was supposed to be there in the first place. I love little touches like that.

@@Haeyvin easiest way to do it is to hold down the key for the weapon. Let's say you have a knife in your first weapon slot, hold down 1 and it will play the animation.
Hey, for the weaponized car. IF you do the delamain quest, the northside cab will take you to where the car is and will stop not very far from it so you can pick it up after doing the mission. cheers and have fun !!!
Just a quick addition to this, if you're doing a new character, I think you'll have to do the meeting Takemura in the diner job before you can find the car. I did the Delamain quest here before that, and the car did not span. Did the diner, talked with Takemura and Johnny, drove back and the car was there. I think it is because Johnny is the one telling you to find the keys or something.
another thing I've noticed, they *mostly* fixed the physics of standing on moving vehicles.. so you actually can.
so your tidbit goes well with this one for all the lazy punks like me who just rather ride the del until its tuckered out. now we don't have to sprint 500meters to some proper pavement for our car to find us lol

I've long completed Delamain, started Phantom Liberty, Talked to Takemura at the diner. Nothing here in the warehouse. :(
I haven't done any of the car stuff in my new playthrough. The driving still feels slippery and floaty, and just overall awful. Wish there was a mod to fix the feel of driving.
The Trauma Team game is such a love letter to Contra, and the one where you play as Johnny a love letter to Doom/Wolfenstein. Man, I really love CDPR.
I actually feel like it's closer to Metal Slug in some ways, albeit without the titular vehicle. Though tbf, I'm pretty sure Metal Slug was just SNK looking at Contra and adding their own spin to it with an unique tanklike vehicle (and others in later games) and rescuable PoWs that is what drops the alternate weapons per stage.
Thank you so much for telling us about the first equip feature. It's such a small thing, they didn't need to do it. But a lot of the first equip animations are so smooth
especially with the knife, I like doing the first equip before throwing it at someone as a combat opener then just slide in with a katana.
Agreed just there is a little mistake. On the console the button needs to be double tapped as holding just brings up quick select. Essentially do the holster backward.

@@das_hansyes thank you sir. I heard in another video that you double tap Y or Triangle. Much more descriptive than saying double tap the equip button
You can just hold 1,2,3 key when selecting your weapon and it will draw with animation (PC)
The tribute to Ken Block just makes me love this game that much more.

You do not necessarily need 20 technical ability to get the sword.
Checks for attributes scale, so if you're still at a low enough level, the check to get the katana will be lower.
I missed it when I went with Judy to the old electric plant, but went back shortly after and only needed 10 technical ability.
Most of the attribute checks in the game work this way now. How much you need scales based on your level, but there will always be "doable" checks if you have at least some points in a specific attribute.
It seems that with the new patch pretty much everything scales with the player, including ability checks.
Yeah can confirm. I got in with 13 in tech and I was about 30 or so rank and yeah I was playing a new save but couldn’t wait till 2.0 so I was dabbling but not wanting to get too far. Disasterpiece was one of the first quests I did for the update and that sword is very hard to miss sitting in the furnace like that

You don't need any. There are other doors to the furnace room.
In order to get the Hoon vehicle you need to do the mission that takes place in Tom's Diner. After that the car will be in the location mentioned at timestamp 1:58.
Yeah, I had this experience too; completing the prologue is not enough on its own.
im far past that point (im at the final mission) and the car has never showed up for me. Ive checked back multiple times at multiple different points in the story and nothing. I think the quest is glitched for me.
I don't think you need to finish that mission but just need to reach some required level cause I got that car mission accidentally when I was doing the Epistrophy (glitched delamain) around that area.
I saw a comment saying they were street cred 34 when they got it so i kept going to the spot everytime my streed cred went up by 5. When i hit 30 the car showed up

i think you may have missed that small aspects of what you mentioned were in the game prior to 2.0.
The police had gunfights with gangs in set locations already including one of the spots in the clips you used.
The map was definitely improved but you were not restricted to just seeing the fast travel locations prior to 2.0...
also not before 2.0 but a correction on your point:
Black lace can be obtained outside of the dumdum interaction, ive gotten it from loot in multiple contexts, and it is also sold by some vendors.
The Type 66 Hoon is only available after you meet Goro Takemura at the Cafe (Playing for Time). Otherwise you'll only be able to get the car key and it won't spawn even if you meet up with him after acquiring the key. I found this out because I had to reload a save several times until I talked to Goro first... then the Hoon spawned with no hitches
You could filter the map prior to 2.0 you just probably didn't see it. I could find the odd fight between cops and some gangs prior to 2.0 but there weren't as often but now it's great all the random stuff going on and the city is way busier it's been brill.
They did add alot more with 2.0 but you're right that some of them have been in for awhile now. The Badlands stuff though seems all new, I even had border patrol chase me during the 'Dancing on a Minefield" Gig.
Within an hour of watching this video, I played around in the new zone a bit and found some Black Lace Mk.2 from a air drop event (Those red flare drops). So could be noted you're not limited to a single Black Lace and you don't need maelstroms or street kid for it ^^
This is true. I have also played around in the new zone and I think I have 3 or 4 black lace. Haven’t used them yet though
you can even buy it from some vendors in PL, just mentioning.
The animation also works if you hold the equip button so for example hold 1 or 2 and the new animation will also play

on PC you just need to hold the slot button tied to the weapon so hold 1,2 or 3 in the keyboard it will play the animation
the cops fighting the gangs was already a thing in the base vanilla game. The "duplicates" of the cyberwear arms all have different attributes (shock, thermal and poison)
About the police callouts when you're wanted: If you start a police chase and make it to Pacifica, they will literally call off the chase and let you go. I thought it was a nice touch to add to the statement V makes earlier about Badges not being wanted in that district.

Some clarification on the 'Hoon' weaponized car and any other vehicle that can just be found and kept - You *have* to wait until after Delamain texts you saying that your car has been fixed, this being after you've at least gone to him regarding the incident report with one of his rouge cabs. You will need to do a few things to pass the time after filing the incident report before that text pops up. I helped Judy get Evelyn and I initiated the first quest into Pacifica, but it might vary for everyone.
Edit: Others are saying it'll appear after speaking to Takemura at the Diner. Hope that helps.
So after act 2 starts
idk, I did get the car after I started the epistophy quest but I definitely got the hoon before my car was fixed.
@@mondoclaus I tried a few times to go to the location and it just would not spawn until after I got that text from Dela. So idk. A friend had the same thing happen to them, too so I figured it was consistent.
I got the car after I talked with takemura the first time after the heist so no you can have it way early, I tried right after the heist but it wasnt there, I talked with takemura and go back to its place it was there

The new cyberware is so fun and in depth.All the speed boosts you can get with cyberware and perks can make you too fast (at least for me haha)

Can't agree more. Now that I've had time with the update - I really enjoy the revamped Cyberware and skill tree. Also? I love that they finally did away with stats on most clothing. The new skill tree actually corresponds to the Cyberware in a way that was hit or miss before and I *enjoyed it prior. Just that it is far more impactful and satisfying. And I'm dying sooo much more often than I ever did before. Which I love.

Event at 8 seconds has existed all along. I’ve hit up that spot since as far back as 1.3 so I’d assume it’s been there since launch.

They updated black lace in 2.0 yes but it is no longer rare you can find it within airsdrops in Dogtown and sometimes on Enemys.

You can go back to Saburo to get his knife or katana in case you missed them. You just need your starter car, double jump legs and a bit of know how. Can even be done in console afaik.
The new Ken Block car mission is also named after the Queen song with the same name
FF:06:B5 has been solved. you wait in the magenta room in arasaka tower 3d till a lock appears, enter a code and blah blah. basically you end up with a free monster truck.
I love all the new features but I was really, really hoping for more customization in regards to cyberware.
Like it visually changing your character, you know, like all the NPCs in the game.
Yes if I could demand one thing it would be to add robot arms and legs like NPCs and those tyger claw chicks. Also faceplates would be nice. But it is what it is. Can’t have everything
Idk. The next game is what people need to talk about for these things. Since they all but said they are making another one. I'm also sure it will have more "rpg love stuff" because that seems to be all a large portion of people want.
Police sirens now sound different. They got a more standard yail/welp sound to them.
For the first equip animation, you can also hold down the corresponding number key for the weapon to swap to it while showing the animation.

Did anyone know with patch 2.0 when you meet Panam for the first time as she is working on her car, you could finally drive into that lot when you first meet her. Before the patch, you couldn’t do that and you had to get out of your car to walk up to her but now you could drive in.

Note, before you go pick up the Hoon 43 car, make sure you advance the story until you get Johnny. The car will not spawn before that and if you pick up the keys from the box, the car will not spawn at all.
Another note would be that if you are looking to complete side quests too, this quest will automatically fall on the way when you do the rogue Delamain mission in the area where you have to follow it. It leads you to the warehouse. Can do 2 side missions in one go

@@tma2532 that was literally the way I discovered the Hoon. I was doing the Delamain quest and then I stumbled upon it.
I didn't even knew about it and yet I recognized it was a Ken Block tribute
I could be wrong but the Body 20 finisher perk gives you the move faster while carrying a body, which used to be a perk on it's own and is not mentioned anywhere.

Another way to see the “first equip” animation again on pc is to hold the number button it’s assigned to. As long as it isn’t already in your hand, you will switch to it and play the animation
There have been gang vs police and gang vs gang fights in the game for a long time where you can take sides. NCPD pulling people over is new though. They also changed it so that whenever you carry a body you ready a weapon.
9:24 you also don't have to grab Nehan in mission, if you jump over the wall from the highway, run over to the front of the building, spawn your car, and park/ get out of it close enough to the door (but far enough for your character to still get out the driver side) the door will open and you can do a little parkour to get back into the penthouse after taking the elevator. Nehan will still be on his body because he doesn't despawn then you can just run upstairs to the heli pad and grab Satori. they work together intrinsically to cause good bleed damage and heal you while Satori also comes with a quick draw attack from sheathed that has guaranteed bleed
The broken weapon breakdown explains why I kept thinking I picked up certain weapons but then could not find them when I went to use them.
7:03 one time i had my mantis blades out when running around and accidentally double jumped onto a cop 😭😭that was how i learned to keep my weapons holstered
The ken block reference with the quadra hoon is a massive dub for CDPR. Epic heir to an epic man.
You can also get Black Lace from the many junkies dotted around Dog Town in the DLC by killing them.

i have also found that guns are more viable to use with a sandy, for me it doesn't slow down the bullet you fire by too much when using a sandy i dont know if its a feature or bug but it works

You drive through the warehouse with the Ken Block "Hoon" car during one of the Delamain Epistrophy missions, the one where the cab runs away and you have to follow him until he stops :)
Pretty sure the Jenkin's Tendons cyberware is most likely a nod to the infamous Leroy Jenkins, sprinting into battle yelling his name causing chaos. If you know you know. 😉

idk if this is already part of the ARG going on and especially now with the new clues and stuff but if you pick Skye during "Automatic Love" she does have a Spider tattoo on her belly, might be a reach. I'll redo it with Angel next time, but it does seem fishy that they already know your dying, and who would lead the VB's to the relic and Alt? Makes sense if it Spider.
The edgerunner crew now have memorials at the columbium
One of the funniest add ones to me, is in Watson in the mission, (I can't remember what it's called) with the man with the Mr. Stud that's malfunctioning. They added a few mini events where when you are driving him to the ripper, you get stopped, by a group of children, crossing the road. The man screams, "Screw it. MOW THEM DOWN !!!" After that, there's another roadblock with police cars. I think it's a political rally or something. Just a funny thing they added. ROFLMAO
Sorting in fast travel menu was in game's earlier patches. Also selling cyberware was there in game before, i think it was added in 1.3. Also most of these features aren't "secret", they were actually mentioned in patch notes for 2.0.
This Johnny Silverhand Arcade game looks really like the original Wolfenstein and I bet it’s also not by mistake.
On turning off turrets (and cameras), you can increase your Engineering by manually turning them off for good even after hacking them off from a distance (tho that is difficult with some cameras due to their placement).
Note that manually turning off devices does require some Tech level...not sure if that gets harder with higher level areas?

Before 2.0 i was mainly melee but couldnt get nice feel for it becouse of dodge keay being double tap for movement key. It was absolutley garbage....
But now i can bind a dash on MB5 and it feels useable, finally!

the Type 66 Hoon car oversteers so much like it has 15 bodies in the trunk.
3 things that i got and saw nowhere else:
-if you shoot the bargeist floating ship you get 4 star wanted righ away.
-you can meet the girl from the church quest mouning her brother near the walls of Dog Town. (if you let she take her brothers body).
-while you are getting away with So Mi from the stadium, if you get the elevator located before the "catch a breath" time, Reed will apear and kill V.
One feature that I miss from, never thought I'd say this, Starfield, is the ability to loot the dropped weapon from the corpse that's being looted anyway.
That is so incredibly convenient compared to checking the ground for a weapon that might be small, not highlighted, lying farther away or under a corpse or some other stuff, that it should be added to this game asap.

I like that they added the "Hoon", it also has Ken Blocks race number 43 on it. Guessing the location of the car is also a reference to his gymkhana videos set in warehouses at times.
You can only find crafting components in the wild or breaking down equipment. They are not sold in stores. Also, broken weapons only give you one common component.

I found the hoon pretty early on in my first playthrough while chasing down a divergent Delamain.
His pronunciation of Sandevistan makes me question if he actually plays the game 😂
I constantly hear and read that you need a tech level of 20 to get the thermal katana. Yet the only door that I came acros that needed a tech abillity to open, had a prompt that said tech level 4 needed.
in pacifica one of the lines the responder can say is "suspicious activity in pacifica" which is immediately followed by a cop going "woah no way".
There are only 2 new dynamic events I've seen so far, while driving down the road there were scattered gang member just blasting each other in the middle. Then there's one in the badlands where Wraith members were chasing a militech convoy, they pop the tires, killed the militech guys and drove away with their loot.
I hope they organic and not scripted

For the errata katana i think you only need 12 tech IIRC(It said that mine was to low and that i needed 12 for that door)
It goes up with your level, for me it was a tech 16 check.
All you have to do is go to the left of that door then hook a right to get to the other side of the door. I couldn’t open the door either but just went around and got it. Many vids out there that show it

Police have been getting into gunfights on the streets since the release build. That exact encounter has been in the game for ages. Perhaps they've expanded the concept and/or made it more dynamic, but that encounter has been in the game for ages.
Didnt realize till you mentioned Ken Block but his number was 43, the exact same number on the side and trunk of the Hoon
Jenkin's Tendons should also have the effect of adding a 1-star police warrant. lol
My door for the Thermal Katana only needed 13 Tech ability to open, so it's definitely tied to your current level. Mine was 23 btw.
It's not tied to current level. There's a requirement but once you pass it the tooltip will say whatever number in the stat you have
@@fishtheperson except I did not have 13 tech skill, I had 11. I had to level up twice to GET 2 more attribute points to get it to 13 to unlock the door.
I just did this mission and I swear there was nothing sitting in the furnace. that sucks, I have 4 to tech on my build
Mine was 11 (I had to put in 5-6 points in the skill to pass the check) and I was something like level 15
Yeah me too. I think I was level 25 or so
2 things I've found since I started Phantom Liberty (my 60+hour character):
I found Black Lace Mk.2 in a Dogtown drop point, so you can find it outside of Dum Dum (he died in this playthrough)
I've run into an interesting bug where my character has 15 Body but can open 20 Body doors (my only 20 stat is Technical Ability)
Some cyberware gives you additional strength for strength checks
Do you have the Gorilla Arms? I think those allow you to do the doors regardless of stat.
we not gonna talk about the fact that alot of lore was increased with edgerunners, from Rebecca, Lucy and David's apartments to Rebecca's shotgun and how the fact that things completely feel different after watching edgerunners.
I had no idea about the fast travel map filters!
I love the Pacifica police response. “Will you at least come to my funeral?”
A lot of times you'll run into the quadra when you do the delamain mission.

To play the first equip animation it's double click not press and hold for a holsters weapon
Patch 2.0 was a downgrade for Sandevistan users. The devs nerfed the Sandevistan, they didn't buff it.
Pre patch 2.0, there was a Sandevistan called the Qiant MK4 that no longer exists in the 2.0 update. With the Qiant MK4, you could slow time to 25% for 12 seconds with a 15 second cooldown and you could modify it to have a 3 second cooldown. It isn't possible to get that much power out of any of the Sandevistans in 2.0.
Sure, you can get the Militech Apogee that slows time to 15% for 8 seconds but that has a 30 second cooldown. It has more slowdown for less time with double the cooldown. And yeah, you can turn it off to save charge, but with the Qiant MK4, you had a pretty much infinite 25% time slowdown because of the 3 second recharge. We didn't need the ability to turn it off because we had a pretty much non-existant cooldown anyway.
You also didn't need to be level 40 to get the Qiant MK4. You just needed 28000 eddies to buy it. With patch 2.0, you need to grind to level 40 to get the best Sandevistan and your Sandevistan build won't even be close to how powerful it could be pre 2.0.
Definitely a downgrade early-game, but late-game with 20 reflexes and a decent amount of cyberware capacity, it's absolutely an upgrade. 10 second duration, kills extend duration, 25 second cooldown, Axolotl removes 12% cooldown for every kill.
Still infinite uptime, but now with more versatility.
