if No Man sky can come with a Redemption arc, then i Pray & Believe that CDProject can too lol.
A broken release is not excused by anything, and even if it was CDPR have done nothing compared in terms of FREE improvements compared to No Man's Sky when comparing the difference in size between CDPR and Hello Games. This is not a redemption by any stretch of the word, it's another way for them to use their fanboys' goodwill to make money. Nothing excuses the greed and anti-consumer mindset they had/have. They straight up lied and said that it "runs surprisingly well" on old-gen consoles when it ran so poorly that it was forcibly removed from the PS store. I hate CDPR fanboys who refuse to realize that The Witcher 3 came out 8 years ago and much of the talent behind that game have left. A good paid DLC does not excuse a broken launch and blatant lies to fans.
No underpaid and overworked developer thought the game was good to go, but management and shareholders belong to the company just as much as a passionate developer and will impact The Witcher 4 a lot more than any developer. The same company with the same executives must be held accountable, not credited for doing the bare minimum or we will see the same shit again. There is no learning for corporations when they see how easily they get away with scummy behavior.
I feel bad for the crunched but passionate developers at CDPR but I loathe what the company is doing.
I feel like I'm one of ten ppl in the world that thinks it's swell that Hello Games kept updating NMS but it's still boring as heck. That is an accomplishment in itself. To update a game for like five years & still mediocre.
NMS gave new features for free ALL THIS YEARS ! CDPR is charging you for those DLC that should have been in the main game. If they were trully sorry they would have just released new DLC like NMS and earn from selling base game to people that refunded. Not to mention Hello Games is nowhere near as big of a studio like CDPR. After Witcher 3 there should have been 0 excusses to launch this game this broke and lacking promised features. They had the funding and time.
@@noamias4897I legitimately loved the game and I’m purchasing the dlc because it looks fun. Get over yourself.
@@noamias4897get over it.
I like this guy. Doesn’t suck CDPR’s toes to please anyone. Honest and direct.
I like this guy.
Besides, I was terrified that CDPR would lose their narrative touch after the base game paunch. Glad to see their characters and stories still slap.
Why would you be worried about them loosing their narrative touch? The story was the only redeeming thing about the game at launch, and I haven’t seen anything that would suggest a decline in their storytelling
The story is doo doo, what are you on about
The writing has always been CDPR’s greatest strength. Other than Rockstar no other studio even comes close to the level of nuance that CD is able to pull off. I hope that never changes.
@@Chadius_ThundercockI wouldn’t say it’s doo doo but it absolutely is wasted potential. It is good for what it is even though the game launched with only one good ending.
The story of the base game was terrible I don't understand why people praise it. The witcher 3 on the other hand was a masterpiece.
The thing I love most about 2.0 is the armor change, mostly because I spend SO much less time in the inventory screen. Its so great, can't wait to play the expansion!
Love the feel of it now. The combat is so much better. Katana play is awesome!!! Block bullets with a blade??? I'm in heaven.
That's probably the only thing better. Everything else - the same mediocre game (with only half of bugs)

I was on the fence about getting the expansion. This review not only pushed me over the edge, but redefined what a quality, clear and concise review SHOULD be.
If only they continued to add more stuff to cyberpunk. like a gig board where you can pick up infinite small gigs, would make the game feel more alive and fix the problem for people having done all missions. add gambling, add more side activites to do.
Sadly it doesnt work that way@@kimberg2539, luckily we have modding on PC
@@kimberg2539that's the biggest draw back the city is dead beyond causing chaos and the occasional cutscenes. It's more city sandbox and less a lived in world that you can interact and change. They need to add shows and venues with interactions like from GTAIV, and activities that don't involve murdering the occupants of NC. Maybe some mini games from Saints Row? It feels like everything is attached to a mission and it's one and done. There's unlimited potential for more.

It's nice that Cyberpunk 2077 is finally getting a full release. The beta that came out 2 years ago had potential but I had to put it down; it was clearly unfinished.
very funny
dude this comment is so funny it made me lmfao : l
On a less cynical level, I hope CDPR's genuine commitment to getting this game right (and spending a ton of money to do it, no doubt) becomes a standard for post-release support across big-budget games. Yeah, we want them to get it right the first time, but if people who rejected the game at launch buy it and enjoy it, other companies can take note that there are long-after-the-fact sales that can be made to justify the cost of refining the game.
nah,it was good from the beginning, people just got to overhyped and turned brains off.and still have to high expectations even today compared to other studios.i cant get why

I actually liked that the each ripperdocs had different things. Especially fingers, since he can actually deny service to you if you slap him, thereby locking you out of certain cyberwares
It's definitely great from a lore/world building standpoint but change is definitely better from a gameplay standpoint. It would be cool to give people an option to choose either or
That was my thought. Realism adds to immersion but things always get dumbed down.

Thanks so much for this review. It addressed all of my curiosities and set realistic expectations for returning players.
As a guy that loved the base game, this review sold me on the expansion.
Aaah, I actually thought it's cool that not every ripperdoc has every piece of cyberware... but I'm super hyped for the rest of the game!
I agree to some extend as shopping around means you to get know every doc in the game, but having to remember which one had the cyberdeck you wanted turned it into a hassle.

@@shaggyrogers9028 OH! Always thought he was an one off character with third rate mods.

Yeah, it makes the city feel actually lived in and that obviously all ripperdocs aren't going to have the same inventory due to many many night city reasons. It just makes it sound like they're all in cahoots and best buds.
@@christopherschneider2968 yeah it's kind of tough to not punch him, but if you don't, he gives I think the mk. 4 sandy, it's 80% slower time and a 12 second cooldown, with 3 of those legendary mods that reduce cooldown and a 10% off cooldown you can get it down to 1 second, I think that's how you did the build, maybe, it's been a while...
This is exactly what I was hoping for. This game felt like so much more could have been done with it. I hope that they continue to make more and more of these DLC packs. Looking back at the base game it felt empty knowing that I had already done everything and seen everything multiple times. When it was over I had that feeling that there should be more to it.
this is the last DLC for cyberpunk after this they are not going to give any further update or DLC according to their statement
@@RiteshSingh-po7tmAnd that's a shame. They spent all this work, time and money to get the game in a great spot just for it to be basically done and moving onto the next project on a different engine. I guess that's "doing the right thing" instead of abandoning 2077 when it was crap, but it still seems like they put a huge amount of effort into salvaging their reputation more than anything else. Which they did. They totally turned the narrative and are again considered one of the best studios in the world. I'm kind of missing a point, so I guess I'd say.. sucks they launched the original game before it was ready. That's not likely to happen again. Hope what follows is great from day one. Likely something Witcher related?
There was never a “reputation to save”. CDPR didn’t want to release 2077 when they did. Pressure from shareholders, and numerous death threats made against the company due to delays forced their hand through polish law. If you read the wiki you can find out plenty more. If a company is willing to publicly post on their own site on release day that the game isn’t ready, AND include links for all platforms informing consumers how to go about getting a refund then there’s nothing to forgive. Imo that just screams company made by gamers for gamers. The so called “reputation” they’ve gained from Cyberpunk is a product of fallacy and misrepresentation by word of mouth. Unfortunately most, if not all major influencers and media outlets didn’t bother looking into what was going on behind the scenes before posting. What’s even more unfortunate is that so many people are sheep, and are willing to just believe the crap they shill out without doing any research of their own.
There are some third party mods as well you should check out that include better AI from the cops (who chase you more in cars and come to you in vehicles), be able to customize your cars at shops and upgrade them like San Andreas and a bunch of other cool stuff (improved graphics).
"lets hope for DLC'S"
Really? Not a Good Game at the start?
This is so great to see. I had high hopes for PL and the 2.0 update and I’m so happy to see that it’s gonna be a blast. Can’t wait to get my hands on PL and the update
I played the patch w a high level character I hadnt finished the game with (not the DLC yet) and the changes to the perk and cyberware systems alone are so substantial it might be worth starting over
So much looking forward to this. It’s a bit sad you don’t have to be looking for cars and cyberware anymore, because it forced people to do some discovery and visit new locations and ripper docs. But I guess it makes sense for old players since they’ve seen it all.
"Be looking for cars" You mean follow the waypoint? I dunno, to each their own, but I always felt it was a bit redundant :)
I played it thru and they offered me nothing, like I got 3 cars offered and I also stayed and did some random sight seeing next to arasaka tower and still didn't received some cars. I was street level 47 and I absolutely hated that mechanic
@@IncorrigibleBigotry People look for cars? i just use the first car or steal. it's just transportation, they dont have any use outside of that so what is OP talking about? I prefer the Transit mod if i wanna do RP or just take things slow anyway.
@@BlueBD Before Update 2.0, you would get side quest involving buying cars as you traversed the world. They where parked out in the open world. You would walk up to them, buy them, and the side quest would complete. Now in 2.0 all purchaseble cars can be bought from a website on your computer, just like GTA. Much easier this way :)

Been binging your videos the past few days dawg. This is an S-tier channel. Your what would geralt do videos are goated. I wish I found this channel sooner.
Been playing 2.0 all day and it’s such a big improvement, I got Sasquatch’s hammer during the Voodoo Boys quest and using the slam ability is so fun just sneaking up on an enemy and obliterating them, stealth feels much more satisfying now, with headshots with a pistol being surprisingly more effective. The duplication glitch is gone but there are more opportunities to get money, such as finding Credit Shards on enemies with gold tier ones giving you $9000. A big problem with the old police system was the “Crime Prevention System”. Turrets would emerge from every other wall and instantly shred me even on Normal difficulty, now, you have to actually run from the NCPD and I got cornered in Watson by a horde of NCPD officers when MaxTac showed up in an AV and destroyed me in less than a minute. There are also new police units such as motorcycle officers, which kept trying to get back onto their bikes whilst I kept ramming them off with my car.
Bro, just playing the game makes you rich though. You don't even need money glitches. I was a millionaire with the best cars and apartments before I hit level 40 from doing gigs scanner missions cyberpsychos and selling loot lol

Still believe that CDPR going public was the kiss of death, every time a gaming company goes public on the stock market it becomes a greedy shithole. I’m happy that CDPR turned this around but this is nowhere NEAR on the level of NMS and I wish people would stop making that comparison. NMS has been giving free massive content updates for YEARS, and 2.0 is how this game should have been released.
Post 2.0 I finally started playing the base game properly after just buying and shelving it - didn't play it before. Have been hooked for nearly 6 hours the gameplay and story are so good and gripping. Didn't notice any bugs at all yet! Trust me the game is pretty amazing so far. Haven't played PL yet but I will once I got a bit further down the main story. If you're still on the fence, I recommend you go for it now

Great video and good point at the end, about "Managing your expectations". :)
Release was glitchy but the characters were always good to me. Some more than others but I loved Silverhand and the interactions. I made v and him best friends and it was great
Silverhand and Panam are the two best characters in the game imo. Jackie would be too if he didn’t die so early.
Honestly, I never found the bugs to be the worse of Cyberpunk 2077. It was the design direction, complete pointlessness of lifepaths, lack of RPG elements, the linear story that focuses more on Johnny than the main character, etc. I really wish we could have seen their original plan for the game instead of the Hollywood railroad shooter. It works for some people, but it definitely didn't work for me, and everything they add/fix doesn't change that underlying foundation.
Cyberpunk was never intendend to be this revolutionary rpg with lots of paths and outcomes like BG3, nor a open world sandbox like gta, look at The Witcher, it's literally that, a linear rpg with some different outcomes in the main story and in some side quests, 5 stars story telling and diverse missions with interesting characters, beautiful environments and moral questions. It's a tailored experience, not a create your character from the ground up and kill everyone in the map if you want to type of game
@@bardockshiny But that simply isn't true. The vision presented in 2018 was exactly a deep rpg with lots of paths and outcomes. You may not remember(or maybe You haven't seen it), but in their 2018 gameplay deep dive, they even said as much. This is why the maelstrom quest, specifically designed for demo purposes in 2018, has this level of depth, complexity and various approaches. That demo alone is why so many people were so disappointed. It doesnt matter anymore I guess - but when the game launched, I was asking myself - where did that game go? I wanted to play that.
@@firegon2288 Yeah I guess the 48 mins demo really showed that, but I don't like to watch huge trailers so I didn't see it. I never expected that nor expected a gta type game, I just wanted a great story with fun gameplay, good characters and dialogue like the witcher 3, and I got that, played the game like 1 year and a half after release tho, so the worst bugs were fixed, so my experience was almost as good as The Witcher 3. Idk if cyberpunk is on my top 10 games but it's close, and it's not a technical masterpiece like GTA V and RDR2, not even close, but story wise, lorewise and in terms of immersion in that cyberpunk world I would say is as good as RDR2 and way better than GTA V
@@bardockshiny That's cope. Not only did they advertise it as those things, but the previous designs for the game WERE more that way. They just decided to change things around 2018 because muh celebrity and also probably because management was retarded (which then lead to the famous staff exodus that resulted in them now having to abandon Red Engine, because they literally lost the people who know how to code).
@@zeriel9148 Like I said, I guess that's true, and cyberpunk would be better as a full fledged rpg in the roleplaying side of it, but what we received, minus the bugs and the horrible release state of the game is already better than 90% of what the gaming industry delivers
Just finished it on ps5, going Netrunner / tech - what a blast. My next playtthrough will be on very hard. In a year or so, when I forget most of things and probably more updates will follow.
aside from regular occuring bugs with npcs or maps glitching sometimes the main bug ive had is that when i throw knives the character dies appearing as dead and allowing me to loot etc but still does the idle animations they do when alive and only fully "die" when i use another method
I didn't think I was going to look at a review of this, but I'll make an exception.

Dope, can’t wait to go back to my original V for this. Absolutely hyped, it looks great
Good to hear the positivity. Cyberpunk shines in its narrative quest content and delivery and it sounds like Phantom Liberty has delivered on that. What many are looking for though is improving the flat sandbox and overall RPG experience over the predominantly looter/shooter experience. Patching a reasonably functional police into the game is a step in the right direction but the rest seems to be yet more OP gameplay mechanics to distort an already broken progression curve. I guess it's going to be down to the modding community to fix all this. Reinstallation is hold for me for some time yet.
Modders "fixing" the game is the clingiest take.
I know it's one the favorite lines that "gamers" like to parrot, but is grossly disingenuous at best.
The empty sandbox and unengaging side content was my biggest issue with the game. So it sounds like this update doesn't look to have much to reel me in. It's nice that they've polished up the mechanics and ironed out the bugs but if the update amounts to replaying the same content with better combat and RPG mechanics, I think I'll skip the second playthrough. Cool for those who have been itching for a second go but for me that story is finished, my V has an ending (well, a cliffhanger).
On the other hand, it sounds like with the DLC they may have done some work to address my second biggest problem with the game, which was the lack of meaningful choice. From the your choice of background onwards, you were given so many choices which manifested nearly no change in the narrative. Hearing that Phantom Liberty has choices that make an impact is heartening. I'm thinking I'll just pick up my old save to play through the DLC.
Sounds fantastic! Seems like they covered most of what I thought/hoped they would.
I just wish they'd put in a few non combat centric world building stuff like in Yakuza. I'd love to go sit down at some noodle kiosk and watch some news while I eat synth takoyaki or something like that one little part you do with Goro. Thank you for the reasonable review. Personally I have no idea what CDPR has been promising for the update. In fact, a 2.0 patch dropping today is a surprise to me. Which is to say, I've obviously had zero expectations. Heck, I may actually finish the base game now (I was at the final "secret" ending and need to grind levels & equipment so that my V survives the nonsense).
They recommend restarting because of how different 2.0 makes the game. Check out a video on it.
Definitely worth restarting
The "secret" ending is a literal copy and paste of another ending. The only difference is you survive all that nonsense rather than just do the ending.

But hey thats just my opinion it might change once I actually get my hands on it and see for my self
@jameslars7391 Ripper Docs having different types and levels of cyberware is good for immersion, but a pain in the ass for gameplay.
I hope that they see a resurgence in the game soon and don’t just drop it cause soo much they could still do with this game 🤞🏻

The only bug I've been really miffed with so far (both in 2.0 and now in my fresh PL playthrough) is the weapon wall bug. Some iconic weapons are not displaying in their slots, and it's inconsistent about which ones are borked on each of my characters.
Kudos to the dev-team, musta been a lot of work..., amazing they achieved it, whereas a veteran noob like me, the buggy feels in the game got me kind of a melancholic retro deja vu experience..., anyways, on behalf of all players, tyvm, ❤
they have no other choice. they cant just start a new ip or work on the witcher 4. this dev team is strictly on cyberpunk duty.
Finally someone who mentioned spec requirements. I am glad they stayed mostly the same. I hope they fixed the FSR 2.1 Ghosting problem which re-occured since pathtracing was introduced.
What is FSR?
Fidelity Super Resolution on AMD cards. Smilar to NVidia DLSS. Both currently integrated into the game however FSR on AMD has been broken for a little while.@@georgeyreynolds
@@georgeyreynolds It’s the upscaler used for ray tracing compatible AMD GPUs. So like DLSS for RTX GPUs.
@kassandraofodyssey6475 ah I got it. I have a laptop with a 3070 plus amd cpu so I can use the cpu to do the upscaling apparently, which works very well on my apparently just above recommend setup
@@georgeyreynolds Upscaler doesn't work on CPU
It's just that AMD is consumer friendly and they release their FSR to everyone who has AMD,INTEL,NVIDIA GPU while NVIDIA blocks technology
Same story with NVIDIA Frame Generation that are aviable only for for 40XX Nvidia GPUs , they even lied that it cannot be implemented to older Nvidia cards
Meanwhile AMD just announced their Frame Generation tech that will work on any given GPU and even old GPUs like mine rtx 2060
So no rework of nightcity life, like same walking dead npc.
Good to know thx for mentionning it man!
Great review, so straight
I never did get entirely to the end of the game (I seem to do that a lot) so after 2.0 gets tweaked I’m so looking forward to starting from scratch.
Im sorry but everything CP2077 related gives me ptsd, that game was my worst gaming deception :(
Don't get me wrong, it was bad... especially considering I loved Witcher 3. But MSFS 2020 was the worst for me, I expected at least a resemblance of a flight simulator somewhere, instead of a console arcade game.
Loadfield was the worst of all 3, but it was expected 😂
Thanks for touching on the side content. I LOVED Cyberpunk 2077 on day one playing on a good PC, but I did have big complaints regarding the depth present in side quests when compared to something like Witcher 3, which seems to have lots more effort put into its side content. Glad to see CDPR is back to putting into lots of effort into their side content.
I wonder why does the core premise of CP2077 feel sort of broken? You're infected by Jonny, you have a scant few days to live. There isn't a lot of story driven side content, and yet getting sidetracked already feels kind of weird, like, shouldn't you take care of not dying first? Would more meaningful side content only make it worse?
In Witcher 3 you also have a fake time pressure that you want to find the girl before something happens to her; but for one you know rather quickly it's going to be a lengthy journey, where you also need to get stronger to master the challenges, which is not a feeling CP2077 conveys well, and then Ciri is actually a feisty one and can stand up for herself while you're making your way.
With clothing no longer having armor, I wonder if we could see a bunch of npc cosmetics become available in the future? I mean, before they would have had to give that gear stats, balance it, etc. but now that the clothes are purely cosmetic maybe it's a possibility. I'd love a Max Tac set for male V, Oda's armor, etc.
Clothes do still affect stats, just much less so than before. And anything that is actually armor does provide more protection. A bulletproof vest, for example, would still be worth wearing over a t shirt
amazed by how well done this video is
Its a great, great update. I just wish they would work on the world interaction and the immersion.
That was what was fundamentally wrong with the game
@@Kronos0999 and dare I say Starfield as well, its not enough these days to just create a world where your the dragon born going around sucking dragon souls. Open worlds need to be fleshed out, like Red Dead 2, Daus Ex, Dishonored, Prey etc etc
@@ALiberalVeteran rdr2 isn't as detailed of a world as deus Ex, those are immersed sims, rdr2s world is just well-made, bit nothing exceptional.
You can clog toilets in one of the deus ex games, betray the people you work for, and even help the illuminati if you feel inclined to do so.
Rdr2s world is as wide as an ocean, but shallow as a puddle.
That was exactly the problem with the main game and got me bored after 20 hours. No one talks about that, you only hear whining about glitches and bugs like that was the real problem... Good lord.
@@ALiberalVeteran I don't care about Wokefield
damn, I'm relieved. As a long time CP fan, I was a bit worried this wouldn't be up to people's expectations (again)
seems CDPR learned their lesson.
Can't wait to dive into modding the game again, just completely deleted and uninstalled CP2077, ready for a clean install on the 26th
I would recommend finding a new abbreviation for Cyberpunk
@@NeonKnight lmao sorry, I'm not at all a native english speaker I didn't even make the link
@@matthieuzglurg6015 you can edit comments buddy...
@@NeonKnightlmao I was about to say the same thing
@@matthieuzglurg6015Haha no worries, it’s mostly funny (no one thought you were serious obviously), it’s an unfortunate coincidence for sure 😬
Amazing review, I will buy this game whenever I can just because of how good it looks now.
9:25 Flashbang...anyway good video and cant wait for 2.0 and Fantom Liberty
I haven't played CP2077 YET. Been waiting for the right time which apparently is 2.0. Only question I have is would it be a good idea to just buy CP2077 (on sale on steam now too) and just play the "vanilla" game with the 2.0 changes or should I buy and play the Phantom Liberty content? I assume it's fine to just play 2.0 without the expac and tbh I'd rather experience the base game with the improvements and wait to play the expac later. But will all or most of the great changes be in just 2.0?
P.S. - Wrote this while watching and just finished the video. What a GREAT job you did in both information AND helping to set reasonable expectations. Unlike some of the those other reviews you mentioned that are hyperbolic and click-bait to get views that claim 2.0 is "COMPLETELY REVAMPING" or "ENTIRELY CHANGES" the game. :D Great job and thank you.
You should play now so that you can get to the point where the expansion starts by the time it releases haha!
The fact that you liked the main quest as much as you did convinced me to pre-order this. The story and characters are what I like most about 2077 so this is a no brainer then.
I did a ton of car missions, and encountered 2 bugs(?) one of the new vehicles you can purchase just never shows up in your phone. And the other is that I still haven't unlocked the final car, despite doing well over 20 car missions and purchasing all available vehicles.
For the missions themselves, I'm still finding new ones, I can't believe the veriaty. From the standard chase or time gated ones you get in DT, to hacking ones, and even a destruction Derby in Watson. They do all boil down to the same thing, steal car, drive it to marker, but I think its a good edition to the game.

Stellar review; honest, to the point and as far from biased as you can possibly come without your review being useless :) Gj!
Excellent review no BS no unnecessary fake hype just the simple truth as it should be
Thank you for answering questions that I haven't been able to find anyone else addressing! God, CDPR has been as transparent as a brick wall. I stopped playing this game for the last few months because I didn't wanna waste time in a new playthrough when I didn't know how Patch 2.0 would affect existing ones. I think you're correct, they seem to have addressed about 90% of the biggest gripes most players had.
This is the best most informative review I’ve seen in a while, ever think of reviewing a wider range of games?
I’m pretty excited, I also never had one bug or glitch since day one release of cp 2077 so I’m not worried
I haven't played Cyberpunk yet, because of all the negative stuff I kept seeing about it, I kept hoping all that stuff would somehow be fixed or at least modded so it did'nt suck anymore. I feel like maybe now is a good time to finally try it out. Thanks for the thorough run down of things as they currently stand 👍
Hey quick question: When is the best time to start Phantom Liberty? As soon as it becomes available? Or is it best to leave it till all the optional content is completed and the player is at the point of no return?
I think this is exactly what I needed to jump back in to Cyberpunk since I gave up on it back in 2020. Good opportunity to start the game from scratch too...
I was on the fence about playing cyberpunk ever since it came out even though I've preordered it and received it already. I didn't want my first experience with the game to be full of bugs and annoying stuff. I usually don't care for bugs and annoyances in games. What is important for me is the story so I already knew that I will enjoy cyberpunk for that. I just wanted to wait until the game is fixed so that I can experience it fully. Looks like my wait is finally over. Thanks for the detailed and spoiler-free review. Definitely will check out your content in the future.
I hope my stealth archer build still works in this game. In the base game the stealth head shots with silenced weapons had insane multipliers. That combined with hacking you could usually plan your way through buildings and areas.
If theres nothing to hide why arent they allowing reviewers to post their own content, not even EA does that...
Indeed especially considering they did this same shit pre launch on the base game in order to deceive buys and preserve pre orders.
So… it’s been 12 days. How have your expectations changed since then.
@@Heiryuu I loved the dlc but that doesnt change the fact that they're controlling the media like a dog. This shouldn't be legal.
Theres a lot of things that are so obviously changed, and also things that I didn't even realized were changed until 3/4 of the way through the entire game and the DLC. The UI, enemy types/markings, and many other little things are tweaked or changed ever so slightly so really make it feel so much better to play. The only thing that kinda bugged me was the removal of leveled enemies, areas - though I'm glad weapons are simply tiered now. I remember seeing a skull above an enemy and completely avoiding the fight thinking it was a high level at first lol, but then realized it stood for the enemy tier, not their level. I love levels areas that you have to grow and earn the strength to enter, but they still did a goo job of making sure that the types of enemies you find as you go through the game starts to feel harder. My build was really tested a few times, making me have to go do gigs to get new cyberware or rearrange what perks and cyberware I used together. Playing on Hard felt like a great level of difficulty without getting a headache optimizing my build, which is perfect for a new "first" playthrough of the update and it's DLC.
I haven't played CP2077 since 2/1/22. I don't remember much of the story, so I might just give this 2.0 a try with a new story. Would you recommend replay the game before starting the expansion, or will you be able to jump into the story even if it has been almost 2 years since I last played?
Are the new gigs only in Dog Town or do we get some new gigs in Night City?
The gigs were horrible. They're incredibly immersion breaking

I knew they weren’t gonna blow this expansion. I loved cyberpunk even with all its bugs, so I’m beyond excited for this.
Cyberpunk 2077 went from my 25th favorite game to my fourth favorite game with this expansion. That's how significant of an improvement it was.
Very level headed review. I enjoyed this.
Its not fixed the game for me at all. the story still loses me after the first act. theres still hardly anything to do in the open world besides quests and the ending is still pritty bad hell i think the new ending intorduced in the dlc is actuly worse than the standered endings. but whatever people will probs still argue that its still gods gift from above meanwhile ill stick to playing good games that never needed a 2.0 release cus they was good from the start.
Cyberpunk finally out of early access
3 years, more than Baldur’s Gate 3 😂
Interesting what you said about getting the same exact car mission 7 times. I watched another review where the player got the same exact drop mission every time. Seems there might be a bug in the dynamic content algo.
They've definitely improved on Johnny's face. He looks much more like the real Keanu now.
