You gotta love how melee enemies just made a complete 180 from a total joke in normal gameplay to actual challenge given restrictions such as these

i tried a challenge run similar to this and it really is crazy how in-depth the melee system is. enemies with sandevistans can have really inconsistent timing because of them timing it with either attacks or dodging
idk even in normal thet can be hard, they do a LOT of damage
@@goopguy548 On very hard, even with guns, if you see a skull melee enemy you best run for your life
"all enemies are bosses" has been done in Dark Souls many times. It would be really fun to see that in Cyberpunk, great idea!

i think replacing all the enemies with smaller bosses (like cyberpsychos, sasquatch, or oda) and then have a small chance to make them adam smasher would be cool

Dude it took me up until my latest playthrough to realize that the pills Misty gives you are directly referencing the matrix. The red pills kill you, "freeing you from the nightmare" while the blue pills prolong the inevitable, exactly like in the matrix.
I’m doing a Geralt run right now. Only swords and grenades. Absolutely cracked
Blade builds are insane. Made me realize that Geralt would stand no fucking chance against a melee focused V. I have a hunch most people think he'd win that fight.
@@Jenna_Talia i dont know how. geralt is augmented through chemical mutations. v literally has advanced technology and tempered steel among all the crazy future metals all over their body. they have augments that can crunch cars and rip doors off hinges effortlessly it isnt fair to geralt at all
@@junehollybell5977 And this is considering game geralt, who is leagues stronger than book geralt just by virue of power creep and the games requiring spectacle. People don't realize that witchers are basically really good swordsmen with honed senses and not much more. Everything else they have access to is knowledge based and without potions, witchers aren't anywhere near top dog.
But who knows, maybe Geralt could cast axii and get a quick kill on V.
Being able to speed up time to 20x (or whatever you want) with the time acceleration mod is a godsend for getting through unskippable dialog/cutscenes like with Takemura at the diner.
I got the game on PC a wee while ago and I absolutely love modding and playing and stuff, did my first run with restrictions (wasn’t really a challenge run bc I played on 3/4 difficulty) but it was tonnes of fun. Thanks for all the content!
in case u didnt know, i'm pretty sure with the 2.0 update, all levels scale to ur level, even the secret ending. i think they keep the difficulty up by placing you up against more skull enemies however its nowhere near as impossible as it was before. i think the lowest ive completed it at since the 2.0 update was around level 30/35 (however this was a 20 body build with high HP and using every heavy machine gun the enemies dropped). if this has been changed since, feel free to call me out, just adding my experiences!

What about a run where you cant stop moving? If you can get a modder to make it, you could have a mod where if you stand still for to long it instant kills you or spawns a bunch of grenades at your feet.
It would be cool but it’s gib you in any conversation or cut scene so it would be impossible
Or it could be... yknow... coded to not kill you in cutscenes? Conversations that arent cutscenes won't keep you in place.

would love to see a mod that lets you skip the brain dances, doing challenge runs and just having to stop for minutes at a time kinda makes it annoying, especially when you have bad saves like the mission to save Evelyn

the Skullcracker perk giving you more damage with quick melee attacks made me think of doing a Gun-Bash Only run...
Back when I played this so much (when it came out) I tried getting this ending for hours. had manual saves for Kerry/Rouge/Johnny grave section and followed a guide to the T and it never happened. Might pick it back up and give it another shot. insane to me how you just decide "this is the ending i'm doing" even if it's with such a restriction as this, it's insane but incredible.
8:45 I don't know all the conversations this works on but I know ones that used to be skippable, if you load the autosave made before the dialog started, it becomes skippable again. I'm not sure if the unskippable dialog os a bug or if making it skippable again is
I don't remembered why I tried this but if you can quicksave or the game makes an autosave, loading it will allow you to skip again
Anyone ever scan Royce in NCPD database? Among other horrible things, he's a serial rapist. May be the only character worse than Jotaro. Killing him is like punching Fingers. Have to do it every playthrough.
Royce is a wholesome Christian man who guys to church every Sunday and volunteers at the soup kitchen. He would never do such a thing.

I love how this starts as a challenge run, but it ends as just kinda a viable build
I like the "what if every enemy was a boss" idea. Would be very entertaining!
you can also add Phantom Liberty bosses for the run idea of min 32 (also the mini bosses) so you really have more variety of enemies

Just bought the game and loved every cutscene, looking at the enviroment and the lighting, the clothes, i spent 10 minutes just smoking and watching the ads, its insane how much work they put into this game. Makes me wonder if ill just want to skip stuff on my 100th playthrough like i do with skyrim, or if ill still enjoy the atmosphere of cyberpunk considering how well crafted it is
Just gonna leave this comment here as I don't really seem to see anyone think about doing that:
while blocking bullets does often cost a few countries worth of stamina, a rather easy trick imo is to simply get the lvl 20 reflex talent for air dashing not just being free but GIVING stamina and then simply holding block while dashing either around or, if that would bring you out of LOS or is just too annoying, simply keep air dashing into a wall next to you, so you get the stamina, but don't actually move.

so big tip for your following challenge run you can get to like nigh-permanant 90% damage reduction with a few peices of cyberware:
Kerenzikov + defenznikov + all the cyberware that increases mitigation STRENGTH (not chance).
with the dash mitigation perk you have 100% mit chance in dash, and with defensikov you have 100% mit chance for 2 seconds after dash which is almpst enough time to get kerenzikov back if you have maxed out cyberware CD perks.

Would it be possible to do a run where guns just aren’t present? Like other than the driving segments. Could you have it so every npc has melee?
can you deflect with other blades or only Katana? can you deflect with machetes and similars?

its a bug that locks save, happened to me in every run
The most famous example of bullet blocking with a Katana has to be deadpool right? He cuts one in half, then half blocks/tanks Cable's spray.

I mean. That’s an enemy randomizer you would set up. Have it all be bosses and that every enemy in the world is switched through a randomizer which would add chaos

My run im trying is only using edgerunner stuff ( so like guts, the military tec, the cannon arm or wire arms, etc.) And im having a blast, just slow time and blast them in the face 😂
Did y'all ever figure out if different weapons affect the deflect?

is there a mod to make npcs fire weapons like real people? like more bullets being fired instead of burst and then staring at you for five seconds and more accurate depending on the type of enemy
Hey man. Really loving these vids (backlog binge) and seen a few of your livestreams. Have you thought about doing a run where you can only use Plan B? I think it'd be funny to have your only resource being EB for both ammo and gear. Maybe force it at common rarity using mods, making it similar to your starter pistol run. Maybe you'd beat Oda!

Probably way too complex a mod for a stupid pun, but I'd love a mod where every enemy is either Adam Smasher, or has 1HP and melee only, so is basically a free pass, but it's randomised so you don't know what you'll get. I call it Smash(er) or Pass.

Your health being so low your auto heal was constantly triggering was a cool unintended effect though. It was reminiscent of the end of Edgerunners.
Definitely made the ending a lot more stressful!

I believe there’s a perk that makes it so while a sandevistan is active it will always crit so could add to the feeling it always crits

Never played the game prior to the 2.0 update, so, legitimate question: Was the stamina system always present and/or was it this restrictive?
They all ways had stamina, but it wasn’t tied to shooting, and you couldn’t block bullets before. So it wasn’t as used.

Car only run. Use the mod to summon a car/bike and see how much of the game you can beat while riding it, imagine fighting Smasher on a bike
I would love to, but they put a lot of zones that make cars unable to move in the game.
