The first part of the trailer with Homelander looking in the mirror with a bruise on his face. Wonder how he gets that. There’s also the Deep looking into the camera with some women standing behind him and the camera zooms into his eye. Then there’s a part where what looks to be a boy with blood all over his face and he’s screaming. Lastly, Kimiko fighting some armored agent swat looking guy.

I’ve watched it almost daily since it dropped, it’s just amazing. The last 40 seconds or so are just so well cut and shot, whoever put this together deserves a massive payday

I love how coming back to this, the lyrics from 0:06 to 0:25 ish fit each character perfectly with each new line. Butcher needing time to think, Homelander only seeing his reflection, Noirs life was taken, Hughie barely made it out of everything without getting less than a year to live, Annie "living different lives" changing from starlight to only Annie. Good stuff, I have to assume its intentional, fits way too well

Every season this show just gets better and better. Season 1 was amazing. Season 2 somehow got even more crazy. And now seeing this teaser makes me believe S3 will be even more insane. I cant wait.

Starrs face turning from focused into his camera smile is terrifying. This guy single-handedly turned this character into something special. Way better than the comics were he is just an evil superman

@@ibux4917 Not that much. Aside from Butcher and Homelander the other characters seemed to be there just for the sake of being there rather then having an arc. The Deep's weird journey in the cult looked interesting at first but got old real fast. We get an interesting development when Lamplighter shows up but that gets cut off quickly. Storefront also isn't an interesting character.
You just gotta love how the scenes and beat match up so well. Even the opening stanza fits with Butcher, Homelander, Black Noir, Hughie, Starlight and Mother’s Milk

do they all get powers in the comics? because one of the main draws so far is that 'normal' but highly violent people go against those who far outpace them with supernatural powers. if they'd all to get powers too then it'd really take away from this.

@@TheDifferentJay im not fully sure but in the last episode of diabolical which is cannon when homelander is introduced into the 7 they mentioned that soldier boy was already a crowd favourite but he hasnt been in the show until so im guessing him with a beard is going to be one of his first scenes explaining where he was well thats just my take anyway haha
@@quickkev I haven't watched Diabolical yet but I guess I might aswell before the 3rd season is released, it would of made sense if they showed no footage of soldier boy in costume them just keep that last scene as a build up just for suspense. Otherwise it doesn't make sense unless it's some kind of twist that we don't know of, but I don't know anything of the comics so I could be wrong...

Love how they got the actor who turned down the captain America role before Chris Evans got it to play his equivalent in the boys. Priceless
Jensen didn’t turn it down. He got far enough in the audition process before it went to Chris Evans. Marvel offered Jensen the role of Hawkeye, but that’s the one he turned down. At the time, Jensen said that he would have had to stop doing Supernatural had he been cast. However, it’s more likely (though I doubt Jensen himself would outright admit this) that he saw the Hawkeye role offer as a form of consolation prize on Marvel’s part and turned it down because of that.

Just saw the finale and this season really popped off! Can't wait till season 4!
The more I've thought about it giving The Boys powers is really the only logical route they could've gone. Not just because that's a storyline in the comics but also because if Compound V is made available to them they'd definitely take it level the playing field.
I liked the squad being underdogs and having to find clever ways around not having powers. But that couldn't have lasted forever. It would eventually feel like the only reason they're consistently surviving confrontations with supes is because the script says they do. Plot armor essentially.
They can only outsmart them for so long
I'm with you on that. Plus, with them having more than just the strength they had in the comic books, I can see each of them struggling with possibly wildly different powers. Just with Butcher there I can see him almost seeing himself as a Bizaro version of Homelander if he develops similar powers to him.
In the comics they essentially get it all from the CIA/Blackmarket and Hughie gets it on literally the first mission, so we get some awesome fight-scenes from the get-go, where essentially untrained entertainers (the supes) get absolutely curbstomped by a bunch of jackasses with a chip on their shoulder (the boys).

Ima be honest I’m kinda scared they’re going this route, it was definitely one of my least favorite things in the comics compared to the show was how the boys had compound v. It still worked in the comics because the comics didn’t really take themselves seriously until the last quarter, it was mostly an over the top parody written by a guy who hates superhero stories. The show is a much realer take and having the boys not have powers helped show just how helpless normal people are when dealing with the irresponsible ways of the superheroes, although if you read the comics then ig you’d know why them having powers is important for the final story so ig eventually they would’ve had to take compound v

Finally. I didn't think we'd ever get here!! I didn't think they'd go there so I'm pleasantly surprised they brought in the Boys taking compound V storyline. Looks like a few musical numbers, can't wait for those. Jensen Ackles new Soldier Boy looks like he's going to fit in well, he's an amazing actor so can't wait and we also see Crimson Countess and I think a brief glimpse of Gunpowder as well from his old team Payback.

I am glad they are finally coming into it. But it looks like they have completely changed their purpose. In the comics the boys take a basic shot of V just so that if they get punched by a supe, their heads won't explode. But this looks like they are actually giving billy full on homelander powers, which for me, just messes with their final confrontation. Billy has to scheme to get anywhere close to homelander, because of how powerful he is. But if he has the means to be just as powerful as homelander, even temporarily, I dont understand how Billy's endgame wouldn't move up and end the series far to early.

I have watched this trailer even after I finished season 3 probably 300 times. WHOEVER DID THIS DESERVES A DAMN AWARD. This is by far one of the best season trailers I’ve ever seen. To get people so excited purely with visuals and no dialogue is next level. The editing, the choice of music, it’s just mind blowing.
