      @@bojannisic2906 many f1 drivers call Senna the best. He was the rainmaster. Won 6 Monaco's , with a little bit of better luck he wouldve won 8. He died young so his totals are surpassed by others. He was quicker than Prost regularly in the same car ( Prost is also an all time great), . Of course everyone has their favorites. Schumi and Clark are 2 other greats.

    • @bojannisic2906
      @bojannisic2906 Před rokem

       @Manuel Aguirre first of all, I don't think we should take driver's opinion without any consideration. Ask Piquet about his opinion of Senna, and he will tell you that he is better. Ask same question to Berger, and he'll tell you that Senna is GOAT. My point is that you cannot use driver opinion as argument without saying which driver actually said it. Secondly, many drivers also said that Senna was danger for sport (Stewart, Lauda...)Next important thing to know about Senna is that his missing on those eight titles that you mention has nothing to do with luck. He was never the guy who will pace his car and nurse it into the points but always pulling max out of the car and that certainly gave him some amazing victories. But other side of the coin was that it also gave him shit load of DNFs. And that has nothing to do with luck, but only with his inability to take it easy and nurse car into few points rather then always going for the win. Another fact that Senna fans tend to ignore is that other then 1988 and 1989 Senna always had inferior team mate. And in those two years that Senna had equal team mate he scored less points than his team mate, and only reason why titles were split was stupid best of 11 rule. Don't get me wrong Senna was great driver, and if all races were just one lap or all in wet conditions, he would probably be GOAT. But the thing is that there are some factors other then speed. Fact that he died on the track make him revered more then he should have been.

      Seriously??
      Prost had the best car by far in 1993 and just scraped over the line against an under powered McLaren. When it came to the rain Senna decimated Prost. When it came to setting pole laps he decimated everyone including Prost and Schumacher.
      The one thing I agree with you on is the fact that Senna never learned from Prost and if he had applied Prost's tactics in 1994 and accepted second place as a target instead of chasing victory in the early races, he would have decimated Schumacher when the car was fixed regardless of whether Schumacher had illegal software and illegal refueling rig.
