Wow ! I last did that on a Ford BDA cam cover and read some instructions saying I had to do first coat horizontally, then wait a short while and do second coat vertically, and then do a coat at 45 degrees!! I did get a good result but now I have another one to do may just do as you did, spray it all willy-nilly !! Cheers.

Never seen the wrinkle coat before, it looks good 👍👍👍 I think that car users just don’t see bikers as they are used to seeing something large and car shaped, a smaller bike just doesn’t always register in their vision... just use bright clothing and helmets to give to a better chance 👍👍👍 but above all, rely on your own intuition and not the intuition of others to keep you safe 👍

I was returning home on my 920 Yamaha Virago from my Sunday morning breakfast at McDonalds in Waianae, Hawaii. The old McDonalds there had outdoor seating only and an old Hawaiian gentleman would play the ukulele and sing to the guest on Sunday morning. As I left I saw a woman at the stop sign at the next intersection and my first thought was "she's about to pull out in front of me. Sure enough, she looked me dead in the eye then looked the other way and pulled right out in front of me. By this time I was within a few feet of the intersection. I hit my rear break and slid sideways. She was still in mid turn when my rear tire hit her rear tire and her fender left paint on my exhaust. Luckily I was able to right the scooter and she never looked back.

    Good video.
I'd only add that VHT recommends it be used on bare metal and that primer or etching primer is not necessary. After many years of using this product I've noticed a distinct reduction of the wrinkle texture if you apply primer. In fact, larger primered pieces will incur unwrinkled or lightly wrinkled "smooth spots". I've never seen this problematic effect on the VHT recommended bare metal application. Where VHT is somewhat wrong is how they recommend recoating the bad spots. Doing so will just result in an unsightly patch effect. It's better to clean it off and redo the job.

Bike visibility: bikes are smaller and less likely to be seen than cars. It's that simple. Ride on the right side of the lane to the left/rear of a car and you are deep in their blindspot. Don't go there. Loud? Forget it. They can't hear you. Lights and bright things in the front are all that you've got and defensive riding to avoid invisibility and risk. (More and more cars have blind spot detectors, so incidents should reduce over the next 10 years...)

Steve Clark it will not hold up to the heat you will need this amzn.to/2QY7jYz to do it but it won't be crinkle texture. then we use this over the color amzn.to/2MVKD8l to protect it.

I’ve been trying to paint the plastic housing of my Rally Pac for my 65 Mustang. I can not get this paint to wrinkle. When I spray a heavy coat it runs. I’ve tried lighter coats with a few minutes between coats and a heat gun and the paint dries perfectly flat. Zero wrinkles.
    Any thoughts?

Hello Bob, you may have gotten a bad can of the paint, get another can and make sure you shake the livin what not out of it, spray on a medium coat then start going over with the heat gun, it will wrinkle. Been riding since 1975 (mostly Harleys for 30 years), but no more road trips or weekend rides due to texters, cell phone talkers, and distracted drivers playing with touchscreens. Where the driver of the car will want to change lanes or merge into traffic, and as they look B4 they change lanes, they are looking for a "CAR" and when they don't see a car they think it's clear, when in reality they are blind to the motorcycle because that's not what they were looking for.
