Who are the Western experts employed by Russian propaganda?

  • Russian state propaganda uses many different types of manipulation and distorting the truth, but one of them is particularly effective: bringing in foreign experts. This creates a sense that not only Russian journalists, election monitors, and diplomats are supporting the war in Ukraine, but so are their colleagues in the West. One catch, though. None of these people are actually experts at anything relevant. Watch the newest episode of Fake News, the show where we disprove Russian propaganda, where host Valeria Ratnikova will tell you more about these so-called Western "experts" who are frequent guests on Russian state television.
0:00 - Intro. Western experts support Russia
2:08 - Thomas Röper, the German conspiracy theorist in reality, professional journalist in Russian propaganda
4:56 - How Russian propaganda fabricates images of peace and prosperity on annexed territories
6:19 - Arnaud Develay, the French lawyer defending Putin and his war
8:19 - Andre Chanclu, the far right pro-Russia activist
9:52 - Vito Grittani, real diplomat in fake countries
10:57 - Kris Roman, too far for the far right
13:37 - Scott Bennett, fake officer of the US military

As "the first world" were the western Democracies and "the second world" was the Soviet Union, and "the third world" was everthing else, since russia is not a western Democracy and the Soviet Union doesn't exist, yes, russia is "a third world" country. Maybe better terms would be "developed" or "under-developed". Apart from Moscow and St. Petersbrug, much of russia is quite under-developed, or not developed at all. If one looks at Google Maps satellite view of the russian far east, and China just across the border, the difference is astonishing.

Sorry but I need an explanation, the population majority of the Kherson Oblast lived in and around Kherson city and according to Putin voted 98% to join the Russian Federation in a referendum but then a mere 6 weeks later came out in droves to proudly welcome Ukrainian military liberation, and worse still, these same people mobbed Zelensky when he walked down the the main street of Kherson City, without obvious security, kissing him, giving gifts and waving Ukrainian flags! How is this possible and reconcilable with Russian State propaganda?
Or perhaps worse, if the population of Kherson City voted 98% to join Russia, why does the Russian military entrenched on the Eastern side of the Dnipro daily shell and bombard Kherson City, killing civilians? Didn't the Russian military invade to save them?
To me it is the same as Kharkiv City, Ukraine's 2nd largest right on the border with Russia, a very "Russian" Ukrainian city that definitely doesn't want to be a part of Russia and fights strongly to be free so the Russian military shells and bombs it everyday in the hope that it will submit to Russian rule.

To be fair: here in Denmark, as far as I know, "journalist", is not a protected title. You can take an education at DJMX (as the journalist's place of education in Aarhus is called). But anyone can claim the title "journalist" - for example, by writing articles for a club magazine or housing society. Or doing local radio. Other titles are protected, on the other hand. If you call yourself a medical doctor (and are not), you will commit a criminal offense. But I could call myself "journalist" without getting into trouble. If similar rules exist e.g. in Germany, you could question what it takes to have a "real" journalist.
I could have a couple of Danish names, you could look at, when it comes to pro-Russian journalists.

In 21 months Scottie and Dougie has made predictions about the Russo-Ukraine war, based, as their hosts keep telling us, on their extensive military experience and knowledge 🤔
In 21 months since their first predictions "that Russias overwhelming power would defeat Ukraine in weeks", they have made several hundred predictions, all supporting Russia and none supporting Ukraine or its American and NATO backers.
Would you like to guess, over 21 months, the percentage of Scottie and Dougies predictions based on their extensive expertise, that have been correct? 🤔
      Go on have a guess?
Remember they are promoted as experts!
2.4% of their predictions have been correct!
That's right, media analyses of dozens of guest appearance on dozens of fringe platforms like Redacted, Judge truth, etc for the last 21 months have shown these "experts" to be wrong 97.6% of the time.
If they were a pilot or doctor or policeman with a 97.6% failure rate, would you still get in their plane, get them to diagnose you, would you give them a gun? 🤔 🙄

Following is a list of promotors, distributors and disseminators of material that, most often appears to be initiated by the Kremlin and the Russian political, military and media establishment. It would be interesting if there are other names and entities that people may know of, that could reasonably be added to the list.
People such as Solovyov, Skabeyeva, Mardan, Simonyan and other "hosts", "guests" and "panellists", on their Russian TV broadcasts.
In addition to these are the Western pro-Russian entities, who may refer to themselves as independent journalists, geopolitical analysts and media operatives. These include, in their various guises, the likes of Alex Jones, Richard Medhurst, Max Blumenthal, Garland Nixon, Matt Ehret, Tucker Carlson, Eva Bartlett, Scott Ritter, Patrick Lancaster, Gonzalo Lira, {if he is still around}, Douglas MacGregor, Aaron Mate, Sonja ven den Ende, Alina Lipp, and John Meersheimer; The Duran with Alex Christoforou and Alexander Mercouris, The New Atlas with Brian Berletic, Redacted with Clayton and Natali Morris. Michael Flynn, Roger Stone, Patrick Bet-David, Jimmy Dore, Tim Pool, Adam Sosnick, Vincent Oshana, Cyrus Janssen, James Galloway, Jackson Hinkle.
Westerners who are used in Russia to promote the Kremlin narrative are as presented in this video:
Thomas Röper, the German conspiracy theorist, who is in reality, a professional journalist in Russian propaganda.
Arnaud Develay, the French lawyer defending Putin and his war.

People such as Russian TV "hosts" and "presenters", Solovyov, Skabeyeva, Mardan, Simonyan and other "hosts", "guests" and "panellists", on their Russian TV broadcasts.
Andre Chanclu, the far right pro-Russia activist.
Vito Grittani, real diplomat in fake countries.
Kris Roman, too far for the far right.
Scott Bennett, fake "officer" of the US military.
Xavier Moreau is also described as another of these so-called "experts"... but only in Russia.
Media sources may include TASS, RT {Russia Today}, the Hindustan Times, WION, the Timur Tribun ........ So, there is plenty of scope for finding the type of garbage that these people spew out and spread. Disinformation that will appeal to the pro-Russian scammers in their carefully nurtured little echo chambers.

Numerous channels like the new atlas based in Thailand and Redacted.
      Puerile infotainers like Tucker Carlson.
Conspiracy theorists like Alex Jones, journalists like Seymour Hersh, foreign Affairs experts such as Jeffrey Sachs.

Surely it can't be that he is just some guy so desperate for attention that he is willing to say or do anything to get it? In truth, he is nothing that he portrays himself to be.
A few tips for Scott in the chance that he sees this. First, putting a formal jacket over your sweat pants outfit is a poor choice when pretending to be a person of importance. Also, when commiting the crime of stolen valor, you should keep it simple. There are far fewer commanders of special operations than there are for instance, infantry officers. Finally, when betraying your country, be sure to secure passage to your chosen destination.

The so-called referenda last year were a joke. I spent 12 months over the past 2 years in the Odesa, Mykolaiv and Kherson regions. Prior to liberation, most people had fled Russian occupation and were in Ukraine. A typical Kherson community of 2,000 was reduced to about 300 who remained. Those that I spoke to who were there during the referendum described it as a farce and did not vote as the results were a forgone conclusion.
As backdrop, 87% of Kherson apparently voted to join Russia last year. This contrasts to 90.13% who voted to be part of an independent Ukraine in 1991 after the fall of the Soviet Union.
I guess if you can cajole a few old people into voting to return to the old USSR times, you could get 90%. Hard to be representative when most of the electorate has fled to Ukraine (and disenfranchised) and most of the rest are totally cynical.
Somehow you need to keep a very straight face as a pro-russian "journalist" when you spin a tale about free and fair elections.
