There are countless things I LOVE about this channel but if I could only choose one it would be that Stephanie is amazingly encouraging and supportive to everyone and it's so much fun to watch all of them blossom and bloom from her love and acceptance In that way she is a gardener just like Mummy. 💖💛💖

@@STICKITINYOUREAR Perhaps it did not occur to her because she was busy with many things going on in the chateau...Another example, I bought a new dishwasher machine 10 years ago but it's still in the box in our garage. I am so used washing dishes by hand, it's kinda soothing and relaxing...I enjoyed it actually :)

@@pietro_valente Of course I have. I have several lawyers in my family, but they are all quite serious. I, on the other hand, can be quite silly and fun and that's not usually portrayed as the norm for more "serious" careers (although I scored highly on the LSAT).

It is now part of my nightly regime to watch and laugh.
I do breakfast in bed Saturday or Sunday ok lets be real here sometimes both if my husband allows me, watching Chateau diaries or Doing it ourselves with Micheal Pethrick. Great way to start the day in my opinion.
Wonderful vlog as ever. The red fabric was so much richer and would look stunning with gold cushions. The chosen fabric just doesn't fit, sorry. Hani was so generous with the satellite Internet, love her. 'Mummy' looked stunning with her new hair do and Marie and her flora's was fabulous. Thank you everyone for making us all so happy 😊 💕
Judy Churchill I thought I would scroll through the comments to see if anyone else agreed with me. The red fabric suits the settee better. Stephanie has very good taste and I was surprised I disagreed with her on this one. I’ve been doing upholstery for 30 years and the red fabric would have been stunning once it was upholstered.

Yes. I must agree that the red pattern was the best fit. And using the yellow reverse side for the cushions/ pillows. The print they liked read too busy with all other patterns in the room.

As I was looking at the kitchen window, seeing the peeling paint I remembered that at Chatworth, the windows are covered in gold leaf. The current duke has said that it is actually less expensive to do that because the gold leaf lasts longer than paint.
I really love the gold leaf on the windows at Chatsworth. I dont think it would look right at LaLande though

I took a bit of time to peruse the channels comments. It's amazing how quickly the other fans of the site were able to find Philip's old boy band. He may say or act embarrassed, but I think it was fabulous he was part of something that brought people joy back then. He shouldn't be ashamed or embarrassed of that time. It shows how talented he is and how he likes to share his gifts with the world. I hope he teaches the la lalande gentlemen and ladies the dance moves and we get to watch the first Lalaland pop video.

A suggestion for the front door entrance: Remove the shutters on each side so it looks less like a window (store nearby so they can be rehung in case of major storm); then, put a large pot on each side with an evergreen tree inside and hanging flowers and vines at the bottom of the tree. Lastly, paint the three steps with a concrete paint the same color as the other shutters.
You need to get mommy some beautiful hair barrettes to hold back her bangs.

That's a very good paint job ladies, we've found Cat's hidden talent! Paint colour - yes it's blue, I can't fathom just how paint companies come up with these names, one of the trims on my home is Elephant Grey... and it's green! Annaliese is a whiz with the scissors, Mummy and Hanni's hair cuts are fantastic! More beautiful flowers from Marie, but don't bypass the dark ones all the time, sometimes you need some drama.The wonderful and fun Hanni has come to the rescue, not only with dinner but with satellite internet, how generous! I decided to paint our shutters and front door in what I was calling "Lalande blue", recently. And to my amazement, today I see in the video... The actual container of paint! And you're painting. It's as if we're connected somehow across the ocean! Off now to see if I can find that product for myself.

@@dotwillcoxson5352 Parma Grey. We located a dealer where we live, however it's $144 USD /gallon. I've bought expensive paint, but never anything like that. Sadly, we probably don't get to paint ours to be like Lalande.
