- In this video, I'm going to demonstrate how to perform steep turns as well as share some of the "cheat codes" that my instructors taught me back when I was in flight school. If you want to pass your private pilot check ride, mastering steep turns is critical!

Great timing, I have to say you are a thorough instructor.
I appreciate that! Thanks so much for watching one of my videos! I really appreciate you taking a moment to comment!
The biggest issue I had was getting uncoordinated on initial roll in. That nose down from the compensation would trip me up and start oscilating through the turn. "Dutch roll" practice helped me work through this. Thanks Trent!

Great video! Is the DPE looking at 100ft difference between the start and end altitudes or do they expect you to stay within that 200 ft window throughout the entire maneuver?
They expect you to stay within the tolerances that are explained in the airman certification standards.
Great explanations, but the demonstration was lacking a bit. You talked about using rudder and maintaining coordination but that ball was pegged outside the cage the whole time and completely uncoordinated.
Thank you so much for watching and leaving a comment. It all helps my channel to grow and help more guys/gals like us!!

We have an artificial horizon in our Cessna's attitude indicator. I reckon same 'meatball principle' applies?
Yes, as long as there is not too much latency in that instrument.
Steep turns are my least favorite maneuver right now. It’s so many things to scan through and just a little lapse in attention can get you outside standards really quick it seems like. I appreciate these tips.
Is there a review video coming for your thoughts on the Remos GX? Looks like a really fun aircraft but I don’t know anybody who has one. Im interested to hear your thoughts on pros or cons.
Might do that at some point. Thanks so much for watching one of my videos! I really appreciate you taking a moment to comment!
I’m doing it next week with the DPE. It’s my weakest maneuver.
