For getting your doubts cleared you can read "Mysteries of the sacred universe" which explains why the map described in Bhagvatam is a Planisphere. That's right. It isn't plane/flat. Neither shown as sphere but a Planisphere. Planisphere model is used to teach 3D spherical diagrams on 2D paper or plane. That's what we see in the Bhagvatam.
We need to understand the historic context. If a family has to be a family there should be a Women in the house. If everyone went to sanniyas , the structure of family would be destroyed. Hinduism understand this and not given authority for females to keep the family structure continue. This one specific point helped Hinduism win Buddhism in India at a point of time when Buddhism flourished. Buddhism allowed all genders to become monk. It grown much interest and later after centuries people realised and changed their religion jus to keep their family running . Understanding all these wisdoms and history our shastras has been designed to keep woman away to save the family structure. It’s not like degrading women . According to shastras the service given by women to their own family is better than service of Krishna by men . Also it encourage women to be the leader of the family . Man can no way match the devotion of women . Hence man needs more bhakti and sanniyas everything. But women don’t need to do all those coz women are already attained it by servicing their own family and children

This is my personal opinion and may hurt you so yeah... it's your choice if you move onto another sampradaya... but follow the rules of the "sampradaya" strictly.
