My years in Iskcon i was a farm manager but became tired of being referred to as a sudra and a worker in a derogatory sense. My interest in this service was to please Srila Prabhupada , as very few devotees seemed interested in this type of work. I eventually brought my own farm away from Iskcon and have never looked back. Some may think this as unfortunate but others may see it as a sign of maturity. My conclusion is.. that working on Iskcon farms will all ways be seen as a lesser service ,this nonsense mentally is the slow rot of Iskcon farm projects. The only people i have seen without this mentality have been the most destitute who took shelter from the material energy on our farms. Srila Prabhupada said, that due to pride people in the Kali Yuga would give up working the land.. herein lies the problem. I would encourage devotee families to purchase land within close proximity of one another , holding programs and trading produce etc.simple living high thinking was Srila Prabhupadas moto.On another note, Srila Prabhupadas movement is slipping more and more into a type of sectarian churchianity , Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati warned of the dangers of taking up this idea .To many these are the symptoms of their being no pure Vaishnava present. The changing of Srila Prabhupadas writing and words is surely a serious aparadha.
I fully agree with you. I have observed some ISCON centres for 30 years. There is lot of infighting, ego clashes. They are all becoming commercial centres, with the glamour on the commercial activities. Agriculture was fundamental to Srila Prabhupada, as it is the true basis of true civilization. Entire Krishna movement is based on devotion to Gau which means both land and earth. Krishna himself showed the way by celebrating Govardhana and not Indra. You have done the right thing by coming away from a cult organization but not giving up the ideal. Your idea of devotees remaining independent but coming together for certain purposes and not forming a cult or a new church is quite valid. I hope more devotees follow your model.

I don't understand one thing.. why do we preach in cities and ask them to go to the villages? Instead we should preach to the villagers who are already doing farming. India's 70% population still lives in the villages. They are conditioned to the simple natural environment and the farm communities can prosper. That will not be a shock to them. Many farm communities are closing down because city-conditioned people are sent there. Initially the enthusiasm is there. But, because the conditioning is so strong, the enthusiasm fades away. They miss the city!! They cannot be criticised for that. That's a practical problem.
Not surprised with such messages that had been going ever since Srila Prabhupada left this world- better to do what the Lord inspire within us as long as we are sincere and honest with our approach and no point to change the mindset of so called leaders as bear in mind this is Kali Yuga....than again preaching is the essence but unfortunately we do not have a community that really takes care the welfare of the devotees (not just mere lip service) which is very much present in other religion.........this requires a lot of compassion and dedication and so far we lack such leaders. There are gurus who suffer in silent as they believe so called trnd api sunicena.............and simply do nothing to change ISKCON. Hopefully, we pray to the supreme lord that we will have more sincere leaders in the future to take ISKCON to the reater heights that Mahaprabhu wanted.

ISKCON is the Harinam Sankirtan Movement. There is no difference. The top priority is Harinam Sankirtan. Everything has deteriorated as a result of losing this focus. Worldwide this is the historical fact. How to do varnashram? Start with qualified Brahmanas. How to do that? In Kali Yuga no one is a qualified Brahmana. Simply become genuine Vaisnavas, then automatically a pure Vaisnava has all the qualities of a Brahmana. How to become pure Vaisnavas? Chant constantly Hare Krishna without offense and render service unto the pure Sadhu Vaisnavas. If there are no physically present Uttama Bhaktas in your area, then render service to the Sadhu Vaisnavas by reading their books and following their instructions and their footsteps. In that way, you can get siksa instructions from the acaryas and render service to them. By Krishna's mercy we will get sadhu sanga. If He sees that we are genuinely crying for Him, He will give it. Simply we must go on with Harinam as our central focus and ultimate guiding principle. Harer Nama Harer Nama Harer Nama eva kevalam.... ISKCON has always been and will always be wherever the chanting of the Pure Holy Name is going on. Nothing more, nothing less. ISKCON is not a political system nor it is a sociological construct. It is simply wherever the Pure Holy Name is dancing on the tongues of suddha bhaktas. That is ISKCON. Everything else is subordinate to this central principle.
Pure chanting means without offenses. Guror avajna, disobeying the orders of spiritual master, is one of the offenses. This is the most henious offense (see Cc Madhya 19.156-160). One who doesn't speak against offense to Srila Prabhupada is also committing nama-aparadha and thus their chanting can never be pure. However, if someone is chanting purely then soon he will get association of devotees who do fearlessly speak against those who offend Srila Prabhupada. Thus, such a devotee will be saved.

No one can represent lord Krishna on earth..there are only self appointed representatives who make such claims.. this model is like catholic church where the Vatican and the Pope is supposed to represent Christ in the world.. but unlike christianity Krishna does not need any representative...Krishna is universal and not restricted to any organization...the greatest devotee of Krishna was Meerabai but she never made such claims..and I am also sure that even Chaitanya Mahaprabhu did not either..

Jay nitai maharaj I want to say about an incident through my bad(i can't speak in English) English.i live at samudragarh near about 40 minutes from mayapur..there are 3 namhatta groups in our 3 km areas. Maharaj it is not necessary to be divided into 3 groups.if these 3 groups' devotees came to 1 place and worship nitai-gour all together. So it was better. And rath-yatra( 2018 )2 groups made and drew their rath separately.. one group is going with and another coming with their rath ..maharaj this is not a good message for society.jai gour
If our leaders do not want to be revolutionary, then they should not take up a position of leadership. the present leaders are not even maintaining the society what to speak of expanding. they are sitting nicely upon their laurels. we need to separate the brahmans from the administrators. at the present we are mixing the two. the leaders are holding tight due to the fact that they have a comfortable life - and in the name of the Sannyasa ashram!!! I never see any of them sitting a chanting with their disciples or others to encourage all of us to go forward, what to speak of their own purification. S.Prabhupada always chanted with us and alone. I don't see that now. Just big big leaders and no care for the disciple. But as you say someone may rise up from these ashes and revive the whole situation. This is very important, chanting, proper instruction, deliberating amongst themselves to understand the meaning within S.Prabhupadas instructions. Its all within S.Prabhupada's books, i really do not believe they read the books and come to conclusions based on S.Bhagavatam So very very disappointing. S.Prabhupada was not wrong in the early instructions....we and only we were not at all qualified. But that does not mean we don't endeavor to be qualified, So many are now giving speculative discussions. I don't believe that we have endeavored to advance sincerly, it was taken falsely.

Maureen, A word is in order here. We should not pack all leaders in a box and deride them for their personal Krishna Consciousness as well as taking care of their disciples. We have to be neutral. Speak the truth. Everyone is bad is not true. Neither everyone is good is true. We have to see what's right and what's wrong and act accordingly. I have personally seen many sincere leaders in our movement who try to sincerely follow Srila Prabhupada. It may be that some of them are misled by wrong ideas and philosophy. Ofcourse there may be many non-sincere followers of Srila Prabhupada and your comment is correct for them. Also if someone is not able to follow because of incapability that's not insincerity. You will come to know this by seeing that he preaches the right thing although he is himself incapable to follow it. He will not think that "if I tell this to my followers then they will think I am not advanced."

Sorry, ISKCON is not about just eating prasad, having temples... but preaching this knowledge of Bhagavad-gita and Bhagavatam to the world. ISKCON means activity. Spiritual activity. Not selfish activity of chanting holy names self. That is not a character of Vaishnava. Otherwise Why Srila Prabhupada had to take that much suffering , instead he would have chanted the holynames in vrindavan itself.
But than again there are groups that strongly advocates Srila Prabhupada instructions but the way they run the congregation is really horrible with no respect for fellow devotees and basically goes on offending devotees years after years as the leader thinks he is the temple President hence all others are subservient to him ( hahahahahaa...reminds me of Hitler maharja) and rather sees no fault in him......which basically breaks all the rules and instructions of Srila Prabhupada and yet he claims the champion of Srila Prabhupada's movement........maya is simply too strong and there is no end to such atrocities hence simply be humble and take up some service that Krishna gives and try sincerely to serve all devotees ( do not see their faults) and see what each one of us could do best to serve ISKCON within the framework and instructions of Srila Prabhupada without expecting fame and glory.

It is not devotional service but subjected to verse -- sruti smrti puranadi pancaratra vidhim vina... Bg 7.3, ppt. Any sincere follower of Srila Prabhupada who want to perfect his/her life will not listen to your so called non-offending humility. If we do not expose those devotees who take ISKCON against Prabhupada's instructions then we may not be offending the sentiments of those devotees and their followers but we will certainly be offending Srila Prabhupada and the Guru Parampara. Now choice is yours: you choose to offend Srila Prabhupada while I chose otherwise. Please read the article of Bhaktivinoda Thakura on Vaisnava ninda and you will undestand who is offending whom. Concentrate on the west. Krishna sent Srila Prabhupada to educate the west not the already educated. Do not be afraid to change a little while keeping the core intact in any society so long as it is to achieve its aim in the west. Marketing, publishing and PR should all be western orientated. Never feel the combination of a ritvik type system with the Guru is detrimental to the movement in the west, it is a structure suitable in the west. ISKCON should be primarily an evangelical, preaching, missionary movement above all else. Verbal preaching and the skill of it should be taught to those displaying such talent. ISKCON should never fall into relaxed subdued complacency due to the Hindu influence and the east as a whole.
There should not be a single leader of ISKON..... every single ISKON temple should have a Guru....guru is not leader...guru is guru means teacher....ISKON is not any political organisation...saadhu saint are equal there should not be any leader....only be guru of every single temple...or problems and politicals will be start there
There is no easy solution. You cannot just rule out the need of an institution. For running any spiritual institution for preaching, organization is inevitable. However, such organization itself becomes enemy of preaching truth. This is inevitable and thus time to time revolutions are necessary as we clean our rooms regularly. Maharaja makes many important and good points. For example, during the time when Srila Prabhupada's European Sankirtan book distribution parties were still intact. These devotees distributed millions of books., yet, no farms were bought. Devotees were kept in rented places. And surplus temple Laxmi just disappeared. Prabhupada: The BBT collection should be spent 50% for publishing and 50% for construction of temples.

Some say that the era of the guru is over. Organized religion if not already outdated, it will eventually be so. Now is the time for people to take responsibility for their own evolution, now that one can access any information they seek through the internet. Most leaders do eventually become puffed up and fall down and they will take advantage of the vulnerable. So many examples of this. No sense serving corrupt leaders. Walk your own path and to thine own self be true. We can cook our own pasadam.
So people should accept you as their teacher according to your infomration. That's funny. Organised religion btw is what one leaves when becoming Krishna conscious. The spiritual teacher assists one in that, based upon ones' own request.
Sorry you got it wrong. Don't throw baby out with the bath water. Guru system is not wrong. But it is your test: you have to work your way out finding a bonafide spiritual master. See what Prabhupada has to say: "If one thinks that he is above consulting anyone else, including a spiritual master, he is at once an offender at the lotus feet of the Lord. Such an offender can never go back to Godhead. It is imperative that a serious person accept a bona fide spiritual master in terms of the sastric injunctions. Sri Jiva Gosvami advises that one not accept a spiritual master in terms of hereditary or customary social and ecclesiastical conventions. One should simply try to find a genuinely qualified spiritual master for actual advancement in spiritual understanding." (Cc Adi 1.35)
I know when in TM movement talked, they are building future of mankind for next 1000 years. Local TM canters start to go down since 2007. ... It is so fucking sad. ... Hare Krishna! With all due respect Maharaj ji, nobody was 'collecting disciples'. Disturbed after seeing the then condition of ISKCON leadership, many took shelter at the lotus feet of gurus like Sri Sri mad Narayan Goswami Maharaj. And it is not apasiddhatic to search for a siksha guru. And have a non sectarian attitude. Perhaps you said what you said to caution leaders but the words you chose felt a little out of place.
So in other words- it is supposed to be representatives who "baptize" (initiate) new disciples into Srila Prabhupad. If this is so, it would be in line with the commission of Lord Jesus and his disciples. Very interesting.

HH makes it clear that we have to follow Srila Prabhupada in ISKCON and Maharaja explains how by not following Srila Prabhupada everything apparently might go on smoothly, but as Prabhupada is not in the center, so some or the other day whole thing will collapse as happened at New Vrindavan. Does this mean Ritwik movement is better philosophy since they all consider Srila Prabhupada as their Guru hence their chance of getting diverted, enthusiastic, Mayawadi is less since all follow Sheila Prabhupada directly.

Prabhupada doesn't come and object "why you are not following me?" Thus you are free to imagine your Prabhupada. Guru-sadhu-Sastras never gave such a ridiculous solution. If you know of some sastric pramana, please bring forward.
Does you message apply to all ISKCON devotees also? Afterall all of them are in ISKCON ultimately because of GBC. This means you want that the devotees who do not agree with some decision of GBC should distance themselves from ISKCON. IMHO, a better idea would be to sincerely and intelligently discuss things and come to right conclusion rather than claiming that leaders can never make mistake or that the followers can never be mistaken.
I am a follower of advaita vedanta. My gurus are Shankaracharya and vivekananda. I don't really have problem with isckon. Just that keep the unity. Not Eating meat and fish may be central to your teachings but not the same case with vivekananda. To us bengalis meat is not a hurdle to spirituality. Keep the unity and never give sanatan dharma a abrahamic connotations.

My years in Iskcon i was a farm manager but became tired of being referred to as a sudra and a worker in a derogatory sense. My interest in this service was to please Srila Prabhupada , as very few devotees seemed interested in this type of work. I eventually brought my own farm away from Iskcon and have never looked back. Some may think this as unfortunate but others may see it as a sign of maturity. My conclusion is.. that working on Iskcon farms will all ways be seen as a lesser service ,this nonsense mentally is the slow rot of Iskcon farm projects. The only people i have seen without this mentality have been the most destitute who took shelter from the material energy on our farms. Srila Prabhupada said, that due to pride people in the Kali Yuga would give up working the land.. herein lies the problem. I would encourage devotee families to purchase land within close proximity of one another , holding programs and trading produce etc.simple living high thinking was Srila Prabhupadas moto.On another note, Srila Prabhupadas movement is slipping more and more into a type of sectarian churchianity , Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati warned of the dangers of taking up this idea .To many these are the symptoms of their being no pure Vaishnava present. The changing of Srila Prabhupadas writing and words is surely a serious aparadha.

I fully agree with you. I have observed some ISCON centres for 30 years. There is lot of infighting, ego clashes. They are all becoming commercial centres, with the glamour on the commercial activities.
Agriculture was fundamental to Srila Prabhupada, as it is the true basis of true civilization. Entire Krishna movement is based on devotion to Gau which means both land and earth. Krishna himself showed the way by celebrating Govardhana and not Indra. You have done the right thing by coming away from a cult organization but not giving up the ideal. Your idea of devotees remaining independent but coming together for certain purposes and not forming a cult or a new church is quite valid. I hope more devotees follow your model.

I don't understand one thing.. why do we preach in cities and ask them to go to the villages?
Instead we should preach to the villagers who are already doing farming. India's 70% population still lives in the villages.
They are conditioned to the simple natural environment and the farm communities can prosper. That will not be a shock to them.
Many farm communities are closing down because city-conditioned people are sent there. Initially the enthusiasm is there. But, because the conditioning is so strong, the enthusiasm fades away. They miss the city!! They cannot be criticised for that. That's a practical problem.

ISKCON is the Harinam Sankirtan Movement. There is no difference. The top priority is Harinam Sankirtan. Everything has deteriorated as a result of losing this focus. Worldwide this is the historical fact. How to do varnashram? Start with qualified Brahmanas. How to do that? In Kali Yuga no one is a qualified Brahmana. Simply become genuine Vaisnavas, then automatically a pure Vaisnava has all the qualities of a Brahmana. How to become pure Vaisnavas? Chant constantly Hare Krishna without offense and render service unto the pure Sadhu Vaisnavas. If there are no physically present Uttama Bhaktas in your area, then render service to the Sadhu Vaisnavas by reading their books and following their instructions and their footsteps. In that way, you can get siksa instructions from the acaryas and render service to them. By Krishna's mercy we will get sadhu sanga. If He sees that we are genuinely crying for Him, He will give it. Simply we must go on with Harinam as our central focus and ultimate guiding principle. Harer Nama Harer Nama Harer Nama eva kevalam.... ISKCON has always been and will always be wherever the chanting of the Pure Holy Name is going on. Nothing more, nothing less. ISKCON is not a political system nor it is a sociological construct. It is simply wherever the Pure Holy Name is dancing on the tongues of suddha bhaktas. That is ISKCON. Everything else is subordinate to this central principle.
Aindra das Babaji is the real deal
Pure chanting means without offenses. Guror avajna, disobeying the orders of spiritual master, is one of the offenses. This is the most henious offense (see Cc Madhya 19.156-160).
One who doesn't speak against offense to Srila Prabhupada is also committing nama-aparadha and thus their chanting can never be pure.
However, if someone is chanting purely then soon he will get association of devotees who do fearlessly speak against those who offend Srila Prabhupada. Thus, such a devotee will be saved.

Jay nitai maharaj I want to say about an incident through my bad(i can't speak in English) English.i live at samudragarh near about 40 minutes from mayapur..there are 3 namhatta groups in our 3 km areas. Maharaj it is not necessary to be divided into 3 groups.if these 3 groups' devotees came to 1 place and worship nitai-gour all together. So it was better. And rath-yatra( 2018 )2 groups made and drew their rath separately.. one group is going with and another coming with their rath ..maharaj this is not a good message for society.jai gour
Prabhu, each and every group must follow Srila Prabhupada ardently for them to come together and preach effectively. This is Maharaj's message.
If our leaders do not want to be revolutionary, then they should not take up a position of leadership. the present leaders are not even maintaining the society what to speak of expanding. they are sitting nicely upon their laurels. we need to separate the brahmans from the administrators. at the present we are mixing the two. the leaders are holding tight due to the fact that they have a comfortable life - and in the name of the Sannyasa ashram!!! I never see any of them sitting a chanting with their disciples or others to encourage all of us to go forward, what to speak of their own purification. S.Prabhupada always chanted with us and alone. I don't see that now. Just big big leaders and no care for the disciple. But as you say someone may rise up from these ashes and revive the whole situation. This is very important, chanting, proper instruction, deliberating amongst themselves to understand the meaning within S.Prabhupadas instructions. Its all within S.Prabhupada's books, i really do not believe they read the books and come to conclusions based on S.Bhagavatam So very very disappointing. S.Prabhupada was not wrong in the early instructions....we and only we were not at all qualified. But that does not mean we don't endeavor to be qualified, So many are now giving speculative discussions. I don't believe that we have endeavored to advance sincerly, it was taken falsely.

Maureen, A word is in order here. We should not pack all leaders in a box and deride them for their personal Krishna Consciousness as well as taking care of their disciples. We have to be neutral. Speak the truth. Everyone is bad is not true. Neither everyone is good is true. We have to see what's right and what's wrong and act accordingly.
I have personally seen many sincere leaders in our movement who try to sincerely follow Srila Prabhupada. It may be that some of them are misled by wrong ideas and philosophy. Ofcourse there may be many non-sincere followers of Srila Prabhupada and your comment is correct for them.
Also if someone is not able to follow because of incapability that's not insincerity. You will come to know this by seeing that he preaches the right thing although he is himself incapable to follow it. He will not think that "if I tell this to my followers then they will think I am not advanced."

Sorry, ISKCON is not about just eating prasad, having temples... but preaching this knowledge of Bhagavad-gita and Bhagavatam to the world. ISKCON means activity. Spiritual activity. Not selfish activity of chanting holy names self. That is not a character of Vaishnava. Otherwise Why Srila Prabhupada had to take that much suffering , instead he would have chanted the holynames in vrindavan itself.
But than again there are groups that strongly advocates Srila Prabhupada instructions but the way they run the congregation is really horrible with no respect for fellow devotees and basically goes on offending devotees years after years as the leader thinks he is the temple President hence all others are subservient to him ( hahahahahaa...reminds me of Hitler maharja) and rather sees no fault in him......which basically breaks all the rules and instructions of Srila Prabhupada and yet he claims the champion of Srila Prabhupada's movement........maya is simply too strong and there is no end to such atrocities hence simply be humble and take up some service that Krishna gives and try sincerely to serve all devotees ( do not see their faults) and see what each one of us could do best to serve ISKCON within the framework and instructions of Srila Prabhupada without expecting fame and glory.
How do you humbly "take up some service that Krishna gives and try sincerely to serve all devotees" without trying to strongly follow Srila Prabhupada? This idea is simply Sahajiyaism. It is not devotional service but subjected to verse -- sruti smrti puranadi pancaratra vidhim vina... Bg 7.3, ppt. Any sincere follower of Srila Prabhupada who want to perfect his/her life will not listen to your so called non-offending humility.
If we do not expose those devotees who take ISKCON against Prabhupada's instructions then we may not be offending the sentiments of those devotees and their followers but we will certainly be offending Srila Prabhupada and the Guru Parampara. Now choice is yours: you choose to offend Srila Prabhupada while I chose otherwise.

However, provided one has the right motive, the scriptures have not condemned a careful critique of someone’s faults.
There are three types of proper motive:
(1) If the intention in analyzing someone’s sins is to ensure that he attains his ultimate welfare, then such reflection is auspicious.
(2) If the motive behind reflecting on someone’s sins is to benefit the whole world, then this is to be counted as an auspicious act.
(3) If such reflection is undertaken for one’s own spiritual welfare, then it too, is auspicious. There is no fault in such reflection.
When one reflects upon the historical accounts of personalities like Valmiki or Jagai and Madhai in light of one or more of these three virtuous motives, then such reflection is never the cause of incurring sin. When a disciple humbly asks his spiritual master to instruct him on how to identify a Vaisnava, the spiritual master, desiring the welfare of his disciple and of the whole world, explains that those who exhibit unholy behaviour are non-Vaisnavas. He thus points out how to identify true Vaisnavas through antithesis.
With the motive of encouraging one to accept the shelter of the lotus feet of a true Vaisnava by abandoning false, so-called preachers of religion, one neither risks committing blasphemy of saints (sadhu-ninda) nor vaisnava-aparadha (offence to Vaisnavas). In such cases, even criticism directed at a specific person is free from fault. These are all examples of criticizing with the proper motive.
We have the culprit coming out from his svarup as he can't stand but retaliate that is obvious and definitely a mandap brain not really understanding what I am trying to say blinded by his agitated mind and anger. ...caught red handed.....fell for the trap. I rest my case for all to see.

Concentrate on the west. Krishna sent Srila Prabhupada to educate the west not the already educated. Do not be afraid to change a little while keeping the core intact in any society so long as it is to achieve its aim in the west. Marketing, publishing and PR should all be western orientated. Never feel the combination of a ritvik type system with the Guru is detrimental to the movement in the west, it is a structure suitable in the west. ISKCON should be primarily an evangelical, preaching, missionary movement above all else. Verbal preaching and the skill of it should be taught to those displaying such talent. ISKCON should never fall into relaxed subdued complacency due to the Hindu influence and the east as a whole.

There is no easy solution. You cannot just rule out the need of an institution.

Sorry you got it wrong. Don't throw baby out with the bath water. Guru system is not wrong. But it is your test: you have to work your way out finding a bonafide spiritual master. See what Prabhupada has to say:
"If one thinks that he is above consulting anyone else, including a spiritual master, he is at once an offender at the lotus feet of the Lord. Such an offender can never go back to Godhead. It is imperative that a serious person accept a bona fide spiritual master in terms of the sastric injunctions. Sri Jiva Gosvami advises that one not accept a spiritual master in terms of hereditary or customary social and ecclesiastical conventions. One should simply try to find a genuinely qualified spiritual master for actual advancement in spiritual understanding." (Cc Adi 1.35)

Disturbed after seeing the then condition of ISKCON leadership, many took shelter at the lotus feet of gurus like Sri Sri mad Narayan Goswami Maharaj. And it is not apasiddhatic to search for a siksha guru. And have a non sectarian attitude.

HH makes it clear that we have to follow Srila Prabhupada in ISKCON and Maharaja explains how by not following Srila Prabhupada everything apparently might go on smoothly, but as Prabhupada is not in the center, so some or the other day whole thing will collapse as happened at New Vrindavan.

Lip service of accepting Prabhupada as guru without having anyone guru to monitor your activity is prone to more deviation. Prabhupada doesn't come and object "why you are not following me?" Thus you are free to imagine your Prabhupada. Guru-sadhu-Sastras never gave such a ridiculous solution. If you know of some sastric pramana, please bring forward.
You have your guru position as a result of ISKCON GBC. If you don't accept what they decide then abdicate.
Does you message apply to all ISKCON devotees also? Afterall all of them are in ISKCON ultimately because of GBC. This means you want that the devotees who do not agree with some decision of GBC should distance themselves from ISKCON.
IMHO, a better idea would be to sincerely and intelligently discuss things and come to right conclusion rather than claiming that leaders can never make mistake or that the followers can never be mistaken.
I am a follower of advaita vedanta. My gurus are Shankaracharya and vivekananda. I don't really have problem with isckon. Just that keep the unity. Not Eating meat and fish may be central to your teachings but not the same case with vivekananda. To us bengalis meat is not a hurdle to spirituality. Keep the unity and never give sanatan dharma a abrahamic connotations.
