Don't know why ITV doesn't bring back Saint & Greavsie. A damn sight better than Adrian Chiles, Andy Townsend etc.

'its difficult to get your leg over when you've had a few drinks' lol. A pundit would never get away with saying that on todays sports shows. Well done Jimmy ;)

RIP Greavsie and Saint... 🙁 Sadly gone are most of the characters of football from yesteryear

I remember watching the opening credits as a kid thinking how sleek and futuristic the opening credits looked. :)

Saint & Greavsie may look dated now etc. but it was off the cuff and lighthearted banter. Not the forced, sanitised, dare'nt offend anyone boring crap of today. Oh yeah and the football was way better too, though I must add it was before the dreaded falling over plague affected so many players, which I believe was brought over on the original carrier...Jurgen Klinsmann. Cue trolls..........

everything about this class pure class ....S&G are legends, the commentators are brilliant and this programme brings great memories... and I agree we live in a culture now where everything is so Disneyland where we have to be so careful to offend, no one took offence back then to the banter why has everything changed I ask myself !!

Quite right. Very fond memories of those days when football was still good. It was sometime during the mid 90's that the game lost its charm, becoming a money orientated industry full of obnoxious arrogant players who couldn't care less which football club they joined as long as they got their millions. Couldn't even go near a player without him keeling over like he'd been shot by a spectator in the stand with yellow and red cards dished out like there's no tomorrow. Don't want to sound like I'm living in the past but the whole game is sterile and plastic now. Important rule in broadcasting in what used to be the lighter side of TV coverage - it's only a game.
