Used to really enjoy this show every Saturday morning. They did a great job combining humour along with the serious side of football. May Saint and Greavsie rest in peace. We miss you

Saint tipped Forest for the cup and greavsie tipped spurs. They both would go on to play each other the cup final that year.

Thank you for the upload. Saint and Greavie, what a partnership. They had great chemistry together. Nowadays, we have to listen to Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher waffling on, who lack personality. and charisma. What I liked about the format of the 'Saint and Greavie show, they would add a bit of banter and at the same time, capture all the games (in their 30 min slot), including all the goals and highlights, midweek results,, interviews, up and coming fixtures and their predictions. No politics or BS, just straight to the point no-nonsense talking.

This is class. I know we have multiple football preview shows on sky now but these two guys kicked it all off. This was also back in the days before football shows became as much about political correctness as football. Mind some things never change, Newcastle are still on that wait for a trophy and face crap off the field

I always loved the seriousness of Saint counter balanced by the "I couldn't give a hoot" funny man attitude of Greavsie 😂 But the industry has become too serious now. Too PC culture and it is getting worse. To a degree money is at fault but more than that, it is the corporatisation of the game that has ruined it. So stuffy and austere. I crave for the days again when we could have characters.

And 30 years on newcastle still haven't won anything. It's sad how the oil money has squeezed out clubs like newcastle, leeds, villa, everton who would regularly challenge back in the day

Went to that Newcastle Derby cup match with my dad aged 8. They won 2-0. Mick Quinn scored a great goal. Remember being very excited to see Shilton for Derby having watched him for England in the World Cup a few months earlier. Funny how Newcastle and Blackburn were featured as ‘sleeping giants’, and both would actually be challenging for the Premier League within 4 years. Newcastle nearly went into oblivion first mind.

At least Beardsley went back to Newcastle. And whatever you say about Freddie Sheppard he did very very very nearly brought big success to the Toon. Pity Keegan lost the plot in 1996.

If I had to pick a colour to describe Newcastle as a city it could only be, GREY... If I had to pick a cultural personality trait it could only be, take the piss!
