Kudos to the parents for raising them well despite with their age now. And for having them put together in one house with them... Children nowadays when reached adolescence no longer wants to stay with their elders let alone bond with siblings... Great they're not one of them.

That's how I discovered Frank Sinatra, which I find amazing yet odd because my Papa and Frank Sinatra looked a lot alike in their early twenties. I was flabbergasted. 😂❤❤

Mom had a daily chore list on the wall for the 3 of us siblings. #1 change out of your school clothes, #2 make your bed up (did it before I left for school), 2 things to accomplish before going out to play (vacuum, dust, a load of laundry, take the trash out, dishes, pick up any trash that blew into our yard, clean our bedroom, clean the main bathroom). Oh, Mom did make it kind of fun. We received an allowance for our hard work. ✝️🙏❤️😁

Making chore time FUN with a five children was the magic ticket. They picked popsicle sticks or cards from a can to get the chore(s) of the day (making allowances for age appropriate/capacity). The most popular chore was, ""You pick the MUSIC" and a close second was, "You make the snack!" For chores that were especially tedious (we always had a giant unmatched socks basket) I let them set a timer for only 7 minutes or something like that as a challenge "See how many socks you can match before the timer goes off". Whoops and cheers when the time was up! When the vacuum cleaner broke (and no $) a general announcement declared: "It's Human Vacuum Time!" All hands jumped on deck with a plastic bowl in hand and everyone scrambled picking up things as fast as they could before the timer went off. Lots of giggling and goofy pranks ensued. 5 yrs separated a couple kids the closest gap was 3 yrs so I had to negotiate with that, too. A competition element generates enthusiasm!
